Yes I understand. Would be nice if there was one central location that just said X many Touchpads are still in circulation and they are with Y retailer and they will be sold at Z price.
Oh we can dream...
That's Utopia.
As I said in earlier post, it's been handled poorly the whole thing by retailers.0 -
Re the Tesco farce. You'd be bonkers to keep the tablet at the given price... seeing as Tesco will not budge.
You have two options.
1. Wait for the new HP retail stock to arrive and purchase one (not 10, save some for other people...). Returning your Tesco Touchpad, unopened to the store requesting a refund (that will screw em up I think).
2. Take the Tesco Touchpad back and spend a little extra on a touchpad from eBay.
Tesco are not wrong in charging you, despite it being unfair. If you are not happy I would return it and hold out for another model. It is not the end of the world and by taking it back, you'll be giving them a headache as they'll have to re sell them... and guess what, not many will pay the full price. They are treating you like fools so you should return the favour...0 -

Somehow the 99p saving they offered against Argos and Curry's original RRP doesn't stack up against the £260 saving you now get the other way!Rhiannon01 wrote: »If that's true about dropping price match that's so bad.
I guess if they get a load of TP's back I guess they could sell them at slightly discounted price & they would still go. Some people are paying up to £300 on ebay. Also not all retailers stuck by the price some added a little extra. We paid more than USA also
Hp servers :rotfl:
Yeah, really stingy for a multi-billion pound company!!0 -

@androidgenus Hi there, we are not planning any refunds on HP Touchpad orders. The product is now discontinued.
Yeah, just like for every other retailer...who dropped their prices!!! :rotfl:0 -
I wonder if Martin can tweet @UKTesco and tell them to sort their act out. Profits are short sighted; Customer Goodwill is where they want to be aiming.
Starting to retweet, not sure how to get this snowballing....Spend now, Save Later!!!! :beer:0 -
Yeah totally, it's really shown how weak the infrastructure of the majroty of the internet is. Even Amazon barely held it together. I've read several posts noting the irony that HP will have provided many of these servers!
I figured when Argos announced their reduction Tescos would have too - seemed like one of the last major retailers to drop their prices. Have also read a couple of comments noting that Tesco removed its price match comparison with Currys when the Touchpad deal was announced. I can't personally substantiate that though.0 -

Spot on. I don't doubt they're perfectly with their rights but their behaviour is so contrary to the majority of other major retailers. And, as you say, they're only going to have to re-sell them anyway (I'd have thought).0 -
Well I guess if your a multi billion company you've got their by being ruthless.
Guess they don't mind about annoying a few hundred people with the amount of customers they have. They are taking over the world!!!
There such unprecedented demand for it. I guess they figure they can make a healthy profit from it0
