Good heavens! The cheek of some people, surely no one will buy it at that price, it defeats the object. If they do flog it at that price they should employ the seller at HP so they'll do better with their good

I'm not sure whether s/he realises s/he could gain a refund of £300+, thus rendering the reason needing to sell it (supposedly to pay for car repairs) invalid.

Or perhaps they are trying (in vain) to make a quick buck.

I would have thought they would be well aware and are probably in the process (like others on here) of having argos refund that money to their payment card and are then also trying to make one heck of a profit - I would imagine their clutch story is pony too TBH

Yes capitalism always brings the worst out on some people

Still just seen someone offer a Argos code for a touchpad so there are some decent folk around

Just been looking on ebay - suddenly there seems to be a number of generous benefactors who have given these as gifts to undeserving associates as "unwanted gift" seems to be top of peoples reasons for wanting to get rid at "bargain" prices of £250-300 (32gb versions) :rotfl:

That's double how much HP charged originally. I think the seller is just after a big money earner. Why would you get it for that price? You surely would get an ipad. I wanted one because it's cheapest pad for the specs.

Hope some poor soul doesn't buy it.

Think you're being very generous saying they may not realize they can get a refund. Some people have alot of cheek. I don't believe in reselling stuff for crazy price but I guess if someone buys it, it's up to them. Probably why I'm not rich, no killer instinct

I can't see anyone spending £999 on a discontinued tablet but there we go.

TBH, if an ebay seller was offering one a 16gb for £140-150 inc RM special delivery then I would happily get one. I don't think I begrudge someone £50 profit but after that people are frankly taking the p*ss.
  • Finally had my confirmation of processing email from CPW! Feels more likely I'll get one now but still not counting my chickens even though the bloke I spoke to earlier said anyone with an order number WILL get one... I won't be happy until it's in my little paws! :D

Well if they sell it as cost price then they probably loose money due to Ebays greedy fees/Paypal

Still I hope many dont sell at huge price let them loose there selling fee serves them right for being greedy I rather not have one at all.

  • Just had my the Touchpad delivered by Tesco. They still haven't responded to my email to refund the difference as I paid full price. Guess it is the waiting game for now.

Also had a delivery from Staples. Thought it was the touchpad case I ordered but they only delivered their catalogue. Wonder why that needs a signature :s

Also got my cancellation email from Amazon, although so far they've only cancelled the 16gb one, so I suppose I'll find out they're also cancelling the 32gb tab tomorrow? What a let down Amazon is, a company their size should have been able to source some..

So, is there anywhere where one is available at a decent price or is that it now?

Same happened to me this morning, about 9:55. Still kind of groggy form lack of sleep, I panicked, thinking they'd cancelled my order, and not bothered to tell me. Don't worry too much though- probably still got it. https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/comment/46336609#Comment_46336609
