  • Wild stab in the dark here but I have given up all hope, I don't suppose there are any reservation codes in Cambridgeshire?

if you know the konami code off by heart you're one step ahead of the rest of the game.

This has made my day, thank you very much :rotfl:

To all those with issues with Amazon.

I do believe Amazon thought they would just be able to get HP to ship them more from the stocks HP has in the UK without any issues, however I do believe either HP pulled the rug from under Amazon and assigned the last remaining stock to another retailer. And it seems every other online etailer is experiencing the same issues with HP withholding stock and assigning it to preferable retailers.

If thats right, its shows arrogance on Amazons side and the mystery retailer/s either have leverage against HP or simply offered a better price and outdone the online superstores.

I'd keep a very close eye on Twitter tonight.

HP didn't give them to another retailer - they sold them internally to HP staff (I work for HP). 16GB was £60 and 32GB was £110 - all staff had an email this morning. They sold out within 15 mins. Today is my day off. Fail :-(

HP have decided to stop building their own hardware ala Touchpad and the HP Pre 3 (see thread about that coming out poss Friday and costs).

HP have dumped stock quicker than steptoe dropping a piano down the stairs... The touchpad has become the top selling tablet because of the price... I don't buy your story to be honest.

    More stock will come however...

Lol you sound like i am trying to sell you one.I`m saying the tablet is coming and suppliers have reported whats going inside.Maybe it won`t be free with a box of cornflakes but it will be a damn sight cheaper than whats on offer.
Cant post the link but google this and you will see the results.

amazon tablet first true ipad challenger.

I`m saying just don`t be THAT disappointed if you missed a touchpad.

The Amazon tab is coming, it won't be this cheap, but it will have more of a future. That's what I'm telling myself at the moment :-)

The HP page that article suggests you keep an eye on appears to be aimed at a US audience so I'm not sure how relevant it'll be here.
