I reserved one at Argos the other night when my local store still showed them as available but got the email without a reservation number. I didn't realise this was a bug.

If anyone has a spare code for anywhere in the North West it would be greatly appreciated.

My other half and I have just picked up our reservations from Argos, there was a delay in finding them as apparently someone had "moved" them to the "secure area" but all in all it both transactions went smoothly. The store assistant said to us they are waiting until tonight when some reservations are due to expire in the hope they can get one.

My OH did say on the way home he was getting concerned when they were having trouble finding them but give Argos staff their due, they honoured the reservations unlike some of the other stores.

Anyway I originally reserved 3 - 2 at this particular store and 1 16gb at the other Argos store in our town for myself but I have an iPad and can't see me using it. The reservation however is for an ordered touchpad which as yet hasn't arrived in store and I'm guessing now there are no guarantees it will arrive but I'll happily let someone have the spare reservation number.

I did read a post on this thread by a user with moo in the name who is from Cornwall, I'm in Cornwall so if he/she pm's me I'll happily give the number to you.

what do you mean a bug?
i had the same email no res number?

Do as I am doing, if you can afford to be out of pocket a short while, hold onto them sealed in box and wait to see if there is a price drop.

If the price does drop within the 28 day return period then go get your money back.

If it doesn't then you'll just have to let them go I'm afraid

I just popped into Staples and they have one on display with the pricing as originally stated. The display model has a cracked screen however. I had a play around with it - look like a really nice device. I think I've totally missed the boat on this and have been very unlucky as normally I am so savvy with the net. I am in Cambridge so if, by some weird stroke of luck somebody has a code or a spare and would sell it to me, I would happily purchase. Also NE and Central London as I am visiting there tomorrow and Friday.

Congratulations to those who nabbed a bargain... because of my interest in the tablet it has led me to this site which if fantastic, so if I don't get one, all is not lost!

I would chack that, as the display models arnt fully functioning models.

Thanks. I think I will. They are on our Credit card at the moment So hopefully we can hold tight for a while. It might be worth it

The Argos system was taking orders even though there was no stock to allocate. If you have an email with no reservation number then you don't have one.
