Yay, argos confirmed my touchpad will be here on friday and that they will refund me the difference between the full price i paid and the reduced price. I've also managed to get the case, screen protector and touchstone charger from cpw all for £60 with free delivery, coming tomorrow.

Note if you are buying from cpw, i didnt get a confirmation mail so after 20mins i called to make sure my order has gone through (dont want to be paying £70 for a charger from ebay next week!) - they advised that web orders get processed by a different team, and you aint got it till you get the confirmation mail, so he processed my order there and then.....ie, dont bother order off the website, call them direct!

No problems. It's frustrating when you see people post their successes or failures without hearing the entire story so I thought I'd jackanory it!

Good to see there is a chance. I can't see Tesco holding out indefinitely especially because as everyone says they're going to have a lot of returns if they do and that's going to be a hard stock to shift!

I've just phoned Argos and got the difference credited to my credit card. Glad I took the gamble. Don't usually start my Xmas shopping this early!

Would rally appreciate a code for argos in east london beckton, ilford etc since the one I tried to reserve had no reservation number my confirmation said thanks for reserving but it also says item out of stock.

Am I being dim, here? Looking in the wrong place? 16GB and 32GB showing as out of stock on Tesco Direct?

People will have ordered them at full price and if Tesco don't price adjust in the next seven days, they will simply send them back.

Tesco are out of stock at full price, yes. The reason being is everyone has pre-empted a price drop there and purchased/reserved their stock.

I got my order in with them on Monday night and I'm currently waiting to see if they do a price drop. Refer to my earlier post for the full story!

If Tesco don't do the drop then they will probably have a lot of stock again as everyone will return their Touchpads to get their money back!

I ordered two touchpads with Tesco on monday and have been told they are ready to pick up in store today. They are still full price! Gutted . Not sure what to do?
