Another update- this time from he Palm Euro store. The 32GB page told me that they wouldn't be getting anymore stock today or tomorrow (The Wed 24th 10am update), but will update again tomorrow at 10am. Haven't got the actual words, because I forgot to quote it before closing, and it's a very slow website today. At the time of writing, the 16GB had not updated for me.

EDIT: Now changed to update FRIDAY 10am.

OUT OF STOCK! Update Wed 24th 10am : Sorry, No stock will be available for order for teh remainder of this week Next Update: Fri 26th 10am. Customer Service staff will not have any further information - it will be communicated directly here on this page.

EDIT 2: The Pre3 is now flashing up a very similar message.

Just spoken to CPW - I ordered on Monday and quickly got first email but nothing since. The chap confirmed that if you have an order number you WILL be getting one... and to expect a call from the sales team as they work through the orders. Fingers crossed

I'd love to know what Retail analysts are making of all of this!

I had never heard of a HP Touchpad and didnt really have an interest in buying one (thought the iPad was only serious contender in this market) until this firesale, and now I am desperate to get one. I have a smartphone, a netbook and a desktop. Do I actually really need one??? How on earth have I got up in this desperate need to have one, constantly refreshing this page for updates and stalking the call centres of high street shops. It will only end up in the bottom of a ruck sack and never used anyway!!!!!

Interesting...

I have an email and number, but when I called them yesterday they said it was a 'system error' and that there was no order and I wasn't going to get one.

2 hours later I get a text saying they'll be a delay and then the email saying the same thing!

It would be nice to think they do know what they're doing, but I somehow doubt it. . .

Also just spoke to CPW, who checked my order number, mine has still not gone over to be processed, but they are hoping to process the orders today, and should be sending the second emails out, he told me that if I had not recieved an email by 6pm, to phone them as they are open till 9pm, he then confirmed that anyone that had an order number will be receiving one.

Really hope that is the case x

Just in case anyone else finds this interesting- PC World now have an automated message saying that they have no stock, and no idea when they'll be getting more (or even if) of the HP Touchpads. My laptop is in for repairs there at the moment, has been for a month, and we're trying to track that as well, which is why we were calling.
