Anyone got a code for anywhere in London, staffordshire or Reading?
Would be very greatful as it is a potential present for my little brother (would consider payment as well!)
Many thanks for anyone that does have a spare code.0 -
I know it's a very very long shot, but if anyone in the Grimsby area has a spare reservation code for Argos, I would be most grateful.0

Since everyone else is... if anyone has a reservation at Milton Keynes, I'd be more than grateful!0

If there's even the remotest chance that anyone has a reservation code for Argos in:
Leamington Spa, Coventry, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Leicester, Rugby, Tamworth
...a PM would be massively appreciated.0 -

Apologies for turning this into a request thread...
But if any kind soul has a code for the north east that would be most welcome.
Thank you in advance0 -
Posted this a few mins ago on grabbit but thought I should really post here too
Right seeing as we seem to think reserved items will be snapped up by staff in spite of a reservation on them and the fact that I cannot get into central London til tomorrow (plus TBH I don't really need 1 - hubby & I both have smartphones & laptops)
I'm offering out my argos reservation (32gb) at New Oxford Street
PM me for details - all I ask is that whoever gets it hasn't got 1 any other way and lets me know how they get on when collecting etc & maybe sends me some pics of it later in all its loveliness
*runs & hides expecting a PM deluge*
I will be busy for next 20 mins or so and then will sift through responses"You've got to cut your cloth to suit your wassname" Terry (my Dad), 1944-present0 -

- Comet - said they hadn't even heard of the device (i.e. they didn't stock it)
- PC World - didn't have them in at that location but checked the stock system across the South Coast and said they'd all be reserved.
- Tesco Extra - went to the Direct order & collect booth and explained to the Direct manager what was happening. He looked up Dixons website and saw the news feeds talking of the price drop and said he was at that moment unaware but we reached this agreement:
1) I ordered two 16GB HP Touchpads at full price and paid up there and then. (at that moment there were 8 left on his stock system - I'm not sure if this is a regional or national stock system [7pm Monday 22nd])
2) They would be delivered to store for 4pm Wednesday 24th obviously reserved for me as I had already paid.
3) If the price dropped occurred by 4pm today with Tesco they would refund me on collection by having me "return" the Touchpads after collection and then re-buying them at the new price immediately.
4) If no price drop by time of collection that I could hold onto them for 28 days which is the return period, provided I do not open the boxes. Then if there was a Tesco price drop I could do this "return and rebuy" method.
5) If there wasn't a price drop by the end of 28 days after purchase I would just return them and get my money back, no problems.
I phoned Tesco Direct after sales line last night and the lady said in no uncertain terms that Tesco "have no intention to drop the price of the HP Touchpad to match competitors". On asking she said this was Tesco's current policy and it could change.
I'm not sure if it's reading too much into it, but dropping the price to match competitors is not the same as dropping the price because HP has issued a liquidation order. I've still got my hopes!
Cheers
Thanks for the update.
My OH spoke to someone at Tesco Direct Customer Service and he said that Tesco Direct has a price-comparison scheme with Argos and Amazon, as evidenced by their webpage . Hence there is a chance that it will be updated shortly to match the Argos price.Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74
