    Prodigal $on,

    I agree we're in a bit of a catch 22.

We hold on to full price devices, Tesco thinks they've sold them all, no need for price drop.

We return some then they might need to price drop to shift the returned models. But return means you lose your guarantee.

OR Tesco just return them to HP which would be frustrating, but this is where I thought the liquidation order basically says HP doesn't want to see them again so shift 'em quick!

That is why it doesn't make any sense for Tesco to hold the position they are currently holding. It would surely cost them more to collect all the returns and try to resell them (surely no one will pay full price for these things anymore) and HP clearly do not want these returning back to them.

I am hoping the fact that it has been 3 hours since I sent in my email to them with no response that they are considering my request and its just not the fact they have poor customer service.

Still think the more queries Tesco receive of this kind the more likely they will be to refund the difference once they realise the possible number of returns.

  • I been trying a Touchpad since Friday no luck :-(
But i think people shouldn't ´t go for the Ebay far to much money for something no one was interested in before.
I am from Worthing, west sussex, if anyone has any code or knows something?
    Thanks.

When I ordered mine I was talking directly to the guy who manages the Direct order & collect at my local store and basically said to him that is exactly what I'd be doing if there is no price drop so the guys in the call centres know and so do the managers on the ground...
  • Hi i've been trying since Sunday and no luck so far...anyone has a code for any london area?

    martin451. Did you get one?

    Hi reformedEffortmaker

Thanks for your post - I did manage to get one via Comet (but only one of two that I had ordered via their "Click and Collect" system).

See message No. 750 on this thread earlier.

I'm not impressed with Comet. I won't be giving them my business again.

Didn't have much luck with Argos either: my reservation lapsed on Monday - it's no longer held.

Hoping I can get one (for myself!) through Amazon - still awaiting confirmation.

    Cheers!

Honestly no idea why Tesco won't drop the price.
The price drops are being underwritten by HP themselves, so the retailer doesn't loose out a penny (Even the very nice touchstone charger which is half price is underwritten)

Like someone above stated, All DSG orders will be fulfilled if ordered online via PcWorld/Currys/Dixons and the surplus stock will be sold later (probably tonight past midnight)
