She'll probably go for it. She thinks her money can buy her anything she wants right now so she may just go for it next time I say it. I don't feel comfortable myself having someone in so it would be a last resort but if she pays and it gives me a break...

So....to go back to the original topic have you done anything about getting a cleaner?

I mentioned last night that if things didn't improve there would be no other option, so we'll see how it goes. She's currently making me lunch. I think i'm going to be in a state of shock for a while.
  • With regards to your housemate: - How is it going a few days on? Is she still doing her fair share? Has the threat of a cleaner made her buck up her ideas?

With regards to the lady from the gym: - I am short, balding, glasses and very hard of hearing. A few months ago a lady came into my life who I would also consider to be beyond my reach. I therefore understand the whole inferiority complex around looks.

You know what? Once we got to know each other I realised that I was just as good as her.
Whether people like it or not, looks are the first think we notice on someone before we truly get to know them.
Like yourself, I met a nice looker and after speaking to her a few times my instant thought was negative. Why would she like me? It's natural if you do not like your appearance to think that someone else would not like us. You may consider her beautiful but as you also stated, you like her other qualities that make her stand out and that talking to her makes you feel good.

You say you like how gentle and kind she is. Maybe she talks to you because she likes you too and your qualities too.
Try and say something next time. I am shy myself but I found that little bit of courage that another posted mentioned and it paid off. I am not saying it will for you but you must try.
It is not easy, far from it. We all find things difficult and this is one of yours. You may find other things the rest of us find difficult, simple.

When you feel the timing is right - go for it!

She's doing ok still at the moment. Nothing to make me threaten the bringing in of the cleaner again, yet.

I've not had time to go out into town in the last couple of days, but I intend to tomorrow. I hope to pluck up enough courage to say something should she be there.
