Trying for a Baby Part 7

I just came back from GP, need to go for a blood test next week at one point. She also wants me to have a smear test next Sat though my next one is only due next Dec? She was very vague why so keep wondering. She also recommended to take Fish Oil as well as Pregnacare. Is it normal? I thought if I take Pregnacare than I won't need anything additional?
Busy weekend for us, my brother will come soon and we put up the Xmas tree! Yeah!
The blood test could be to check you've ov'd maybe? There's a blood test they take at CD21 that checks your hormone levels to check ov.
It says here that fish oil is good for fertility but it also says here that you should be careful to take fish oil made from the body of the fish and not to take fish liver oil in pg (so I would also think while TTC its advisable to do the same) because it's high in vitamin A.

BFN again this morning and temps are starting to drop. I suspect this means I am out
Starting to lose hope of this happening, with my age and our known fertility issues. I think our August baby which didn't make it was our last chance to add to the family.

Massive ((hugs)) Nicki.
Don't give up hope. Has your OH said anything more about the time limit you originally put on things? I hope if this isn't your month you get a new year BFP.

Around £4000-5000 is the normal figure, but if you can go for mild stim protocol, with perhaps just clomid, it'll easily be half that.
If you are under 35 and fit a certain criteria (enough eggs) there's egg sharing scheme which is much cheaper.
If I were you, I'd go for Clomid for 3 cycles first. It wouldn't be that expensive if you go for unmonitored (no scans) version. With the right dose, it'll at least make you ov:oDH is looking at a job that could give him a £12k payrise, so I was wondering how that would relate...
ThanksThat's good thenMy DH drives me nuts sometimes as any person you live with will inevitably, but other times I just want to grab him and hug him and never let go because he is so wonderful.

Has the "deadline" been discussed?

emsbet, did the mc book say anything about D-dimer? I was told mine was a bit high at 400 (it should be lower than 300), and was told not to take the pill:huh: Never heard of it until last Monday:shocked: I wonder if I will have to take heparin or baby aspirin?
Is it the same as/related to Antiphospholipid Syndrome (APS)? There is a chapter in my book about it but I haven't got to it yet. I think it's one of the main causes of recurrent mc. Something to do with the immune system and it causing blood clotting in the placenta and low dose aspirin is often given to help prevent it during mc. There's some info here about it that might be useful.

Um... feel a bit crap posting this as I know we are all struggling and I was looking forward to Operation CC but... after faint lines for the last 3 days which I thought were evap lines on my IC, I caved and bought a Superdrug test on the way home yesterday and when hubby went to the shop decided to do it then even though I was planning on trying in the morning. I got a BFP... so after hubby got over the shock, I lined up everything we had in the house and this morning tested IC, Superdrug and Clear blue digi... I wanted to tell you all this morning when I tested (which is why pic was taken and is so dark!) but had to go to work.
The pic is crap but can you see? I feel so overwhelmed, and also thinking that we may be back here soon as it feels too good to be true, both my mum and mil had miscarriages and I have fed my body rubbish over the last month so nutritional reserves are not good! Also been feeling sick the last couple of days and those butterfly feelings squirrel mentioned as if I'm hungry but I'm not! I know you are all so supportive if I do end up here that I'd like to stay and lurk a bit more if I can...
Here goes
just re-read that and it is a shambles... my head is all over the place and doesn't help that my battery of car died on way home but :j
