Trying for a Baby Part 7

Fingers crossed. CD11 is quite early, do you have short cycles or a long LP? I think I ov CD15 but as I said earlier I've not had many "normal" cycles since coming off the pill.
xx
I have short cycles - shorter this year than ever before. 25-28 days. Which is good I suppose in that it is a quick change from AF back into ov time. But... I am dubious if I am ov'ing at all as the symptoms are so mild.
Someone mentioned AF gets shorter as you get older, so I am thinking perhaps the signs of ov also weaken. Anyway, still hopeful, and still clearly having hormone changes through the cycle, so hopefully things are going ok.0 -

That's totally understandable.
I really like knitting and I found it let me relaxed during 2ww so I may be brave and tackle those booties after Christmas

I couldn't keep away for long!
Really sorry to hear the news about OH's sperm count wasn't better mrshappy. Will you (or he) be referred to a Fertility Specialist do you think, or can you afford to do this yourself if not on the NHS due to your existing child? I found this link
http://www.drkarenboyle.com/azoospermia.html
which suggests there are some options to explore to correct this problem which do not include adoption or donor insemination, which I know you aren't keen on. Depending on the reason for the problem, success rates can be quite high.
Thanks Nicki, I have been googling! There is a 6 month waiting list to see fertility specialist, so we are looking at March/April for thatl as the referral was made a while ago. Another SA will be done before then, meanwhile we are just going to keep trying and hoping! When I get paid on Wednesday I'll be ordering the Zita West book, I think it was you who recommended her! thanx. xMet my little niece for the first time today - only a week old and she is tiny!! So beautiful!! Weirdly though, I am surprisingly less broody than I usually am but than can only be a good thing right now!!
Aww, lovely. I have a little niece as well and it is strange how I don't get properly broody when I'm with her. I work with lots of babies and get really broody at work, maybe it's something to do with the fact that I know she has a lovely mummy and daddy and is loved by the whole family-the kids I deal with at work are mainly child protection and it's more of a protective instinct than broodyness if that makes sense!
Kitten-glad you got sorted today x
I am hoping to catch up with some studying over the weekend, I have an assessment due on the 5th January. Exciting stuff, I wish I had the patience for cross stitch or knitting, but I'm too bad tempered!0 -

I started the x stitch for a friends baby, and so all the ones I do now are nursery designs for children. I still love doing them, but becoming slightly bittersweet.
I did have a conversation with a friend recently who told me to stop doing them for first babies if I was running out of time. She is having a second baby and I tried to say I didn't have time to do it! She said second child is already dealing with being second without having to cope with no cross stitch.
Sounds slightly callous when you write it down, but what she was trying to say was - I love it so much, don't tell me baby #2 misses out!0 -

I hope things get easier for him soon. I think sometimes it's harder or the man in the sense that everyone forgets about them when these things happen. I know my DH felt like this after our mc's, people would ask how I was but never ask him.
I do think of you, your OH and your boys often, which is daft isn't it as I don't know you in RL but I doI have short cycles - shorter this year than ever before. 25-28 days. 25-28 days is an ok length and nothing to worry about, I'm sure all is fine, besides slightly shorter cycles = more chances to get pg.

Welcome minted
hugs to Nicki and Mrs Happy and anyone else who needs one.
I'm just waiting for CD8 so we can Bd as per SMEP! It is Sunday and Oh has been warned lol.
Also been knitting presents - just finihsed a cuuuute headband in cream yarn with silver sequins dotted every so often, in moss stitch with a stocking stitch flower added on afterwards with three pearl beads in the centre.
I'm actually not sure I want to part with it! I may have to knit one for myself, once I've done all my pressies of course :cool::cool: DFW Nerd Club member 023...DFD 9.2.2007 :cool::heartpuls married 21 6 08 :A Angel babies' birth dates 3.10.08 * 4.3.11 * 11.11.11 * 17.3.12 * 2.7.12 :heart2: My live baby's birth date 22 7 09 :heart2: I'm due another baby at the end of July 2014! :j

I'm bad tempered and stressed too - cross stitch is about the only thing that really calms me. Its so focussed you can't really think about much else, it's relaxing in a focussed kind of way.
Mrs Happy - how easy was it to raise the issue that the problem might be with the OH? I am concerned to raise it with my OH as I think men think kids are a 'womens' thing, and don't like to get involved much. I have always assumed issues with kids would be on my side, but actually the longer things go on, the more I seem to be fine, and it looks like I will have to ask OH to get more involved. I'm not looking forward to it.
Re broodyness, I love being with kids, but oddly I'm not that broody with them. I'm more interested, and think - oh would mine be more like him, or her, or sleep better, or worse... or be as nice to cuddle.. but I am happy to let them go. Except my nephews, who live a long way away, and I who I miss like nothing else!0 -
Evening all, DH came home after working away for week and has gone out for pre-arranged Christmas drinks with his friends. I had agreed to pick him and friends up from station tonight but just had a drunken call that their train has been cancelled and so now have to wait until 12.45 to pick him up and I am struggling to stay awake now!0
