Ooh question regarding the rug. Do you need to have the special tool or can I get by with just a crochet needle?

I used this blog to work out how to do it, and bought a tool off ebay (£8ish) that was an original one (still in perfect working order and the springs are easily replaced) from something like victorian times, which looks very similar to the one in the picture on that blog page. You can use a variety of implements, as that page touches on too, but that one looked the easiest and most efficient to me, so that's what I went for :) the hessian sacking backing fabric I got at a local fabric/haberdashery shop for £1.75/metre btw

Secrets I think like the others say, you have answered your own question.

As I've said many a time before, I am being made redundant in March. When I was pg with Alex it seemed like it had all worked out perfectly as I would have been eligible for maternity and redundancy when I left. :o

But it wasn't meant to be and we were left in a similar situation to you. What do we do regarding TTC? If it happens like the previous pgs we could get a BFP in January and I'd be 3 months gone when I lost my job. What do I do regarding a new job? Look for something temporarily so I can qualify for MA at least as I'd not qualify for any company enhanced mat pay. Or do I go for a permanent job and not tell the employers until later? Not sure how comfortable I'd be with that idea.

The other option was to put off TTC until I found a new job, but who knows how long that would take in today's job market?! Also getting pg so quickly the last two times could have been a fluke and it could take longer this time. Anyway in the end we sat down and discussed it and we were lucky in that DH had got a new job with a pay rise that he starts next year so we decided that we could manage if I got pg and couldn't find a job.

TBH I don't think I was ever going to agree to stop trying not after we've gotten so close :o Even this month where we said we would NTNP I haven't been particularly relaxed about it :o although I did stick to the no temping and OPKs.

    xx

I'm lurking again, but just to say I got approved for Maternity allowance, and I quit my job just before I got PG. If I remember correctly they go back 66 weeks from your due date, and you have to have worked 26 of those weeks I think, so if you did get a BFP in January, you'd probably qualify for MA. If that helps at all xx

Morning ladies... Needing some advice.. Ive tested with IC's last couple of days
12dpo I had a very faint line after a few hours - thought it was an evap line so tested again yesterday... Snow white not even a hint on a line... So this morning at 14dpo I've used a superdrug test and a dip stick cheapie... Dip stick one was white and this is superdrug one after 3mins..

And this is after two hours

What do u think? It's very faint and thought at 14dpo it would be darker given that superdrug tests pick up 4 days earlier.
Might test again in a few days if AF doesn't arrive.
(sorry pics are big didn't know how to make them smaller)
