I followed SMEP(ish) and just did it using opk's as I didn't temp. Assuming a 28 day cycle you start bding every other day from CD10 (earlier if your cycle is shorter and later if longer) until you get a positive opk, you then bd the day of positive and the next two days afterwards, miss a day then do another "insurance" bd the day after that. The basic idea is that you're covering yourself with lots of bding around the time you're expecting to ov. We tried it the cycle I got my BFP, did the bding every other day but then only 2 days in a row after pos opk and missed the insurance one too (too knackered :o) but seems it was enough :). Think it's supposed to boost the average couple's chances of conceiving in any given cycle from about 30% to 40%. Good luck :)

We are doing the SMEP :D:D Got my + OV yesterday so at it like bunnies now :D:rotfl: Good Job DH is on hollibobs this week!!! ;):p:D

    :D Wish I could've tried SMEP (impossible for DH, a once a week man):o

Sounds like you had a good timed one earlier this month though . One well timed bd is bound to be better than 3 badly timed ones ;)

No idea, its because we had an arguement not any other reason. haha!

I'll keep her in suspense, it makes her want me more and with an ever growing beer belly thats a much needed technique.

Same here... I'd really like to try SMEP, once I start a proper cycle (hopefully next month) but I'm not sure I'll be able to convince DH to manage two nights in a row! A friend of mine swears her new underwear got her pregnant ([STRIKE]obviously I haven't followed her advice and just put in a bulk online order for nice new underwear[/STRIKE])

Hi, sorry... just googled SMEP, looks like it is a plan for post mc, sorry if I got it wrong, hadn't heard of it before. Sounds like it would be a sensible plan for anyone ttc though?

Where was everyone last night? I log on this morning expecting ss and plans for world domination and there was nothing! ;):p
:rotfl: I was as surprised as you! I kept bobbing in to have a looksee, but I was let down by my partner(s) in crime ;)

Littlezee, I had HSG, didn't hurt at all, easier than a smear, but you may need to move from one side to the other. But I know it is not the case with everyone. I've read lots of horror stories:shocked:
Good thing is, one will be more fertile after HSG:cool:
(((Hugs))) for insensitive people who make assumptions.
Thing is, dildocams internal scans aren't supposed to hurt either, and they do with me :( I'm not at all convinced that the pain I've been experiencing this week haven't been set off by the internal and swabs she took at the appointment last week, either. :o Don't tell me about the horror stories, please _pale_ I'm deliberately NOT googling it! I think she said they want to do it on CD10 too, and I'm assuming that's so the cervix is a little more receptive...but mine isn't at that stage, with my longer cycles... so that worries me more about it being "uncomfortable". I'm quietly really hoping I get a miraculous BFP before I have to go through with it! (I know I'm a wimp btw :o)

DH said last night "if we can't have a baby, we *will* adopt, won't we?" Then got too upset to continue talking about it :(
:rotfl: I was in bed & asleep before midnight. How's that for a symptom. :rotfl: :rotfl:
You're a disgrace! :rotfl: (I, however, was up til 6.30am!)

I think the person who publicised it intended it for post-mc-ers, but lots of ladies who haven't had an mc now try it also :) Don't worry :)

Primmer hope you feel better soon :(

Bufger, playing hard to get isn't the only enticement you could try :p
