if she tells me that's one thing, but I don't want to ask....is that daft?:o
No, I wouldn't ask unless my MIL tells me.
There's a 4yr age gap between DH and his brother, which doesn't mean anything but hmmm:think:
Fil was an alcoholic too, actually, so that probably didn't help
Alcoholic people have babies all the time. Your FIL probably had sperm problem with or without alcohol (alcohol made it worse probably).

its come up a really strong positive, strongest Ive ever had.
    That sounds like +OPK:shocked:
i think I read it takes 36 hour for spermies to like reform?? So not sure what to do now.
Like emsbet said, it is OK to BD every day. DH has sperm problem, but was told to BD everyday anyway (he never could do it though:o)
So think were just going to bd today anyway and tomorrow for luck - I told him he needs to try to come home from work in his lunch hour lol
    Good luck:j
    Q - CD05 for me today :(

Maybe I am some sort of good luck charm though, as 8 of my friends have announced pregnancies in the last two months!

*rubs my own head for luck and returns to lurking*

Ive read about them putting people on the pill for a month too to restart a cycle if someone hasnt had aF for ages.

I find the whole thing weird. They say it can kick start a cycle, but at the same time when you come off the pill they say it can take 6 months to get out your system and get a regular cycle back. But, if you are 12 hours late taking a pill, you should use condoms for a week. and when you come off the pill youre supposed to be really fertile.

i mean really, which is it!!
    :rotfl:
Pill can reset the cycle, so it may be a good thing from time to time:o

Hi, I am brand new to TTC and to using the forums on MSE (although I have been reading the weekly email etc for years, stumbled on this thread by accident!)

We have just started TTC and I'm already impatient.......waiting for my cycle to start again properly after coming off the pill. Really helpful reading other tips and stories on the forum. Would love to keep up to date with other experiences and get tips/advice.

Am sitting in costa coffee catching up having had to go to several chemists before I could find one which sells FRER. For some reason, all my local chemists and supermarkets have decided to put their test under the counter so you have to ask for them and cant just browse, and none of the 4 places I tried locally had one. So ended up travelling two stops on the underground to Boots to find one. Didn't look closely at the packet until I paid and thought it was pricey and it turns out it is a 5 pack. An admission they don't work accurately 6 days before as they suggest?

Hope I don't need to use all 5 before I get a BFP, but will test later and report back.

    xx

Have already remembered questions I want to ask...!! Can anybody recommend Conceive Plus or Preseed? Not sure which to choose.. And also, I've started taking folic acid daily, is there anything else I should be thinking about doing (apart from the obvious of course :) )

    Thanks in advance for replies!

Hi Mrsj28, I use conceive plus as it does not need an applicator and is just applied to man and woman. Not used pre seed.

  • Hi Ladies. I tested yesterady and got a BFN but that was at 10 dpo so I'm hoping it was too early. Fingers crossed

Mrsj28, we've just started using Conceiveplus this cycle and although we don't have a BFP yet it's totally fab. After I had my DD it's always been very dry when bding so it's perfect for us. Careful when squeezing it out of the tube though as loads can come out.

I'm going to test again on Tuesday, (if I can wait that long), although AF is due to show up on Sunday. I really hope she stays away this month.

Baby dust and hugs to those who need them x

BFN on FRER. I am 9dpo but 6 days before AF is due, so the accuracy rate is 62%. Suspect, despite major ss this month, I am out again :(

Hi mrsj28 I'm new here too. Wishing you a short stay in the thread!

Hugs to everyone who needs one today :) Big hugs Nicki!

After yesterday's disappointment, I collected my IC HPTs from the post office and on the way back I discovered a CBFM reduced to £30! I took that as a sign it was time to start bringing in some extra help after 6 months of unsuccessful BDing. I've set it all up and crossing my fingers that it gives us an extra boost this month. Anyone else on here got one? How do you find it? Any tips on ICs for the sticks?
