I use Preseed, I think with conceive plus, you can put them onto your DH or put them inside you. With Preseed, it's inside you only.

isla, I use CBFM, and I love it:cool:
Don't feed the CBFM stick after it shows Peak (3 bars) as the machine don't read them and automatically gives you another Peak, High then Low:money:
Also, pee on the absorbent side, not the shiny non-absorbent side.

As for ICs, I've always POAS and it worked fine for me (IC OPKs, obviously never had + on IC hpts, so can't comment on its accuracy:D).

After yesterday's disappointment, I collected my IC HPTs from the post office and on the way back I discovered a CBFM reduced to £30! :eek: I took that as a sign it was time to start bringing in some extra help after 6 months of unsuccessful BDing. I've set it all up and crossing my fingers that it gives us an extra boost this month. Anyone else on here got one? How do you find it? Any tips on ICs for the sticks?

I just got a CBFM too I have had loads of Fab advice from the lady bugs on using it . We are going to use up the last of my CBD OV sticks this cycle and use the CBFM next time or fingers crossed I won't get to use it ;)

Where did you find it for that fab price?????

Great tips thank you so much QQ! I actually bought it in Boots tinkwings. For some reason they had them in their clearance section, no idea why but I wasn't complaining. I was in a hurry so need to go back and get sticks. I got overexcited at the price!

I tested again today and it was a BFN. I think I might be out this month; I'm just not feeling it at the moment - I don't particularly feel like AF is coming, but I also don't feel strongly that I'm up-duffed.

HI Nicki, I've been majorly ss this month aswell and got a bfn yesterday. AF not due until Sunday/Monday so fingers crossed. I'll keep them crossed for you aswell. Sending a hug x

I disagree with QQ on CBFM. For the first two months at least you should do all the sticks even after the peak. The machine might automatically give a second peak and a high but it is still reading and logging the data to use in interpreting future cycles. I used mine last month for the first time in a few years and got my first peak and stopped testing. This month, even though I got 2 positive OPKs, the CBFM only gave me highs for 10 days because it didn't have enough info from last month. If I hadn't been double-checking with OPKs I'd have missed my ovulation completely, and completely wasted all 10 sticks this month into the bargain.

After a few months, you might be able to get away without testing after a peak, but honestly, you will only save a couple of quid by doing this, and you might affect the chance of conceiving that month and the month after too, so it's not really worth investing in the machine if you don't want to maximize your chances of conception. I know I plan to reboot mine at the end of this cycle and use it as it was designed from now on.

Thanks Nicki. I think for the first two cycles I will follow it to the letter as I am totally paranoid about wasting the money on the sticks / CBFM. Yup tinkwings there's definitely bargains to be had. They some HPTs and OPKs on offer too.

PMA has been stamped on, squished, ripped up and !!!!ed on today-mrhappys SA came back abnormal, has to see gp and take a urine sample, unfortunately I couldn't get an appointment for tomorrow and he is away working all next week Part of me is hoping that it is all something to do with the prostrate/urine infection stuff he had going on a few months ago, but I have found myself welling up a couple of times today at the thought it's just not going to happen for us, then I start thinking that it might be something minor that can be sorted. We will just need to wait and see though, the nurse didn't give me any indication of what the problem is, but she did say that he should still go ahead and hand the 2nd sample in in a couple of weeks, so to be honest I have no idea what to think.
sorry to be a moan, had to let it out somewhere and I don't think my 14 year old is the person to be telling :rotfl:

mrsj28, it may be an idea to do IC OPKs as well. I always do both in case CBFM misses my surge. I temp as well, to cover all bases:p

Also, always check the lines on the stick.
There are 2 lines, one nearest to the pee wick is LH (darker=LH surge) and the other one is estrogen (lighter=more estrogen, High).

I keep all my sticks, marked with CD and High, Low etc and I keep in a resealable bag:cool:

Like Nicki said, the machine tries to 'learn' your hormones on the first cycle, so you may get more Highs and no Peak:o Good luck:)
