Do you have pain on entry at all? I used to have this and dreaded every single entry. You soon get in the mental cycle of oh gosh here we go again and tense up anticipating the pain. Use shedloads of lube and take it real slow. The pressure of ttcing doesn't help!!
Thank you for all your lovely responses! We do have a *cough* rabbit and it does get me close but I think I just don't know how to chill out!
I used to have pain on entry. Things have gotten a lot better since they were testing me for endometriosis but still going to mention it to nurse next week. TTC so far, fingers crossed, has actually been good - quite a weird turn on perhaps?! we'll see how it goes, i think there's too much going on for me to worry about with my PGCE and then I read that stress is not good!!!

You dont have to answer if you dont want to, but have you used the rabbit with your partner or on your own? Only because it can be much harder to have an orgasm if your DH is looking at your expectantly waiting for you to have one!Your mind definitely has a lot to do with it.

When I was a teenager (Moon and I got together when I was just 19), I had quite a high sex drive, but this disappeared around the time I was doing my dissertation at uni cos I was stressed. I also gave up alcohol too in my second year of uni, so maybe I should do what Gemma is doing and go and get tipsy a bit more often. After all, my friend got pregnant as a result of drinking on her birthday, and it can't harm the baby, as it won't have implanted or been fertilised yet. Maybe that'll be a plan.
Mouse I'm thinking of going with the "get tipsy and act like teenagers" route for a month or so because it seems to works so well
A bit of alcohol might work well in that it will release some of your inhabitions. Alcohol will not affect any bean for a good while as it's not until a few weeks after implantation that the placenta develops. Before then bean gets it's nutrition from the yolk sac.
I definitely feel more sexy when I've had a glass of wine not because I don't fancy my DH otherwise but because I forget my hang ups about my body and what I'm doing etc. It just makes me feel a bit more relaxed.
Like others have said s*x toys or games might help to relax you more but I think the MIL situation is a big thing for you as I remember you mentioning it before. I think you need to find ways to get over this situation. A hotel is a good idea an evening or so a month but is not very :money: and not really a long term solution. I think you should move the bed to the opposite wall of the room and crank the music up.

Congratulations whowants2brich.
After reading the rest of this thread I feel a little insensitive asking what I am going to but I just want to know if it is normal so please forgive me.
I have been on the pill for 18 years and came off it two weeks ago. The first week was fine as it was my normal withdrawal week however this week is a whole new ballgame.
My sex drive has gone through the roof, to the point where my boyfriend has started walking in from work stating how tired he is before I jump on him the spoilsport:rotfl:. I have also been getting some stabbing crampy pains and this morning woke up feeling really sick it has gradually eased off but I still feel a little nauseous.
If this is all normal will it wear off eventually?0 -
My sis and niece have both had endometriosis confirmed, via laparoscopy, so I have more idea of the (no pun intended) ins and outs of that than the other side of it.
As for the thrush, there are other things you can do to help: cut down on sugar (it helps feed the yeast) drink plenty of water (to flush out the nasties) and have plenty of live yoghurt and/or acidophilus to rebalance the bacterias
Enjoy the weekend
Thanks. I've taken the anti-thrush pill. I'll try the other things tooI've had some probiotic yoghurts this week but couldn't bring them with me so will start again on Sunday

I don't think I had this but I think coming off the pill can increase your sex drive.

There you go then, I thought that might be the case as the rabbit never fails normally :rotfl:. Try it on your own and Im sure it will happen!
Kittycat - maybe you are ovulating and thats why you have an increased drive and pains?0 -
HELP !!
Not TTC related at all, BUT,
Im going to my first ever fancy dress party tomorrow night - eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee - im so excited :j:j
so my outfit is a witch, I have a one shoulder dress (this one) thats very floaty with beads along the neckline and leopard print tights. I was supposed to be wearing a black wig with it and a little pointy hat on a headband. Ive been faffing about with the make up etc and I just cannot get the hair to look anything but naff. witch like yes but not pretty just scary
Normally i would not bother with the wig but I dont want anyone to say - 'what are you supposed to be' or even worse 'you've just stuck a hat on your head'
So what would you do ? Do i go without the wig and feel better or suck it up for the night and wear the wig ? Im wondering if its worth popping to the shop tomorrow and buying some accessories like a broomstick or something ??
Help me ladies I need some brutal advice :TBow Ties ARE cool "Just because you are offended, doesnt mean you are right" Ricky Gervais0 -
I wouldn't bother with the wig mishka. A broom may be a good accessory. Do you have long nails that you could paint with some dark purple, green or black nailvarnish. Black eyeliner to draw a cobweb on your cheek or similar. I've just googled adult witch costumes, and they seem to be fairly simple costumes with just a hat and in some cases a broomstick.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20170
