Oh, another great conversation with DH:

Me: WHY am I not pregnant yet?
Him: Because your ovaries don't work properly. Remember, you had that scan.

It's so black and white for men, isn't it?!

I don't know wether to laugh or cry at that hun...*hugs* if you want them :)

Men are very blunt... my OH has said that my nipples now look like cupcake tops with huge cherries on top...but apparently that isn't a good thing because nipples and cupcakes do not mix :o cue me not liking my boobs out infront of him now...

I've met a couple of ladies I met on an endo forum and we're now friends IRL and we have conversations like that!

ETA: we don't just chat about our rubbish reproductive systems. We talk about important things too like hair and shoes and Take That.

Do you all call each other by your usernames? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I am finding myself far too funny today. Sitting here crying with laughter! I'm just trying to picture meeting up with people from the forum and us all calling each other our usernames :D
  • It would definitely be interesting to put a face to some of the names on here!
Don't worry about typing out my username - Call me COMP
(Unless you know my real name - in which case, feel free to use that just to confuse people!)

I think we did when we first met!! I haven't been on that forum for ages so I can't remember what our usernames are, which probably helps as then I call them by their real names.

I too am finding myself hilarious today :rotfl:, which is good, someone has to!

Maybe it wouldn't be that weird actually, I don't know, I just can't imagine talking to real humans (apart from possibly a GP) about my cervix...

I do talk about this with DH, my best friend and a couple of other ladies who I know are TTC in RL too. I'm sure they are thrilled just as you ladies are with my reports of EWCM etc :rotfl:

Abis/Abi/Abigail - I think that's so lovely you are 'real' friends with some ladies from the weight loss forum. But can you imagine if any of us lot ever meet in real life.

Tea/Coffee lover: Oh hello MrsNotJ, did you manage to BD with your husband last night after all that trouble you've been having convincing him to DTD around OV time?
MrsNotJ: Oh hello tea/coffee lover. Yes, success, brilliant. But I'm still getting EWCM today so maybe I didn't OV after all. Oh, by the way, how are your internal scans going?

    etc....
Haha, I'm sure it would be an interesting conversation thats for sure we would all have!! That and botty pain, poking our lady lumps to see if they hurt in the 2ww etc etc. It would be a giggle :rotfl: I used to run spreadsheets and incentives for the weightwatchers online group, so I had everyones email address and when I first activated facebook it added all the ladies on there who was in my group. I did delete a few members after a little while (bearing in mind I was part of this forum in 2004/2005 time) cos I didn't have much to say to them or vice versa, but I think there is about 8 or so still remaining in my friends list on facey b. Like I say, 1 came to the wedding and I saw her last week as well and when I was losing weight for my wedding last year we emailed most days. These days its less often, but shes the kind of friend who you can pick up exactly where you left off with even if you don't speak for a while. I explained to my DD that she was like a pen friend, only over the internet, but I would defo class her as a close friend :D

Its so nice to have ladies to speak to who understand what you are going through tho. Am glad you also cover other important areas of conversation tho :rotfl:

I think forums are such a lovely way of 'meeting' people who are in similar circumstances to yourself. You TTC and miscarriage support ladies have been such an >amazing< help to me over the last few months. I think I would have fair ol cracked up without you guys.

Ooooo. I think its time to crack out the dodgy hug as I am feeling the love for you all :rotfl::rotfl: :grouphug:

tea lover, I think it's only the caffeine that's bad:)
lilymay, got pg cravings already have you?:p

As for usernames, I picked Quaver about 10 years ago. I wanted something that didn't sound so feminine:p It has 2 Qs here as 'Quaver' was already taken on MSE:o

My friend who I met up with had a user name of Manda, but she is on facebook as Amanda. I always call her Manda, as thats her user name. But her own husband was getting her name wrong the other day and calling her Amanda :rotfl::rotfl:

I also had a lady who's user name was Sascha, but was really a Sarah - and I found that soooooooooo confusing! Everytime I spoke to her I wanted to call her Sascha.

Same as you guys - I really still cannot get over you not being MrsJ. I would so want to call you MrsJ as well if we met, lol!!

And I like the shortened versions, like comp, or code, or tink etc. I don't ever think about you all having 'real' names :rotfl:

comp might as well be my real name - DH admitted to me yesterday that he forgot that I'd changed my surname. He still thinks of me as having my maiden name :rotfl:

Just to be nice & simple though, I'm not a mrs j and I'm not a Helen. I do love tea though, so I could be tea lover! I go for tea most days with my work colleague...
