I can not stop EATING! So far today I've had 3 pitta breads, all stuffed with salad, tomatoes and ham....2 yoghurts....about 100g of posh chocolate (that made me feel sick) and half a packet of biscuits. I am such a porky pig! I have no idea what is wrong with me!

Best go and take the dog for a really long walk to burn atleast some of it off!

Ok, today's stupid question (and then I promise I'll shut up)...

Is it just the caffiene in coffee that you're supposed to avoid when TTC/pg? There's a new coffee machine at work with lovely decaff options but now I've confused myself about whether I should have one or not.

Are there other things in coffee which aren't a good idea, or is it just the caffiene? Obv. I realise with a cappucino there's going to be sugar but I can live with that.

I quote (from my new book!!! - you'll love it, a whole section on caffeine in there...):

'as a rule of thumb, men and women who are trying to conceive should limit their individual caffeine consumption to about 300mg per day, the equivalent of three mugs of instant coffee, or three cups of brewed coffee of the type used in cappuccinos or espressos'

It also goes on to say remember there's caffeine in chocolate etc. I think you'll be fine having a cappuccino!

You are confusing me today tea lover, first you tell me that's not your real name, and then you start talking about coffee... I don't know...

Hehe - I too was a little shocked by your name altho goodness knows why?! Obv you weren't called tea?!? :rotfl:

And MrsJ - How dare you not be called MrsJ in real life :rotfl: I really did think that would be yr name, like Mrs Jones or something.

Funnily enough I am actually MrsJ in real life! Well, I kept my married name when I divorced and I tend to use MsJ now, but I do sometimes resort to using Mrs still.

I've never felt like a Helen, it even looks funny to me when I write it - like it's a perfectly nice name but it's not anything to do with me. I think I prefer tea :rotfl:.

I have literally just laughed out loud :rotfl::rotfl:. Now I am smirking and trying not to laugh as it's pretty clear that it's not the powerpoint presentation I'm supposed to be doing that's causing such hilarity.

Hahaha, tea lover and MrsJ (altho who is who?!?!) you are cracking me up :rotfl::rotfl:

I quite like Abi these days, altho I am an Abigail properly. Don't like that as it was what I was called when I was naughty when I was little (probably hardly ever then :rotfl::A:o)

Exactly! :rotfl: I'm so glad I'm in the office on my own today, am laughing out loud! :D

Abis/Abi/Abigail - I think that's so lovely you are 'real' friends with some ladies from the weight loss forum. But can you imagine if any of us lot ever meet in real life.

Tea/Coffee lover: Oh hello MrsNotJ, did you manage to BD with your husband last night after all that trouble you've been having convincing him to DTD around OV time?
MrsNotJ: Oh hello tea/coffee lover. Yes, success, brilliant. But I'm still getting EWCM today so maybe I didn't OV after all. Oh, by the way, how are your internal scans going?

    etc....

I've met a couple of ladies I met on an endo forum and we're now friends IRL and we have conversations like that!

ETA: we don't just chat about our rubbish reproductive systems. We talk about important things too like hair and shoes and Take That.

Maybe it wouldn't be that weird actually, I don't know, I just can't imagine talking to real humans (apart from possibly a GP) about my cervix...

MUST do some work. Chatting on here is far too much fun today.

Oh, another great conversation with DH:

Me: WHY am I not pregnant yet?
Him: Because your ovaries don't work properly. Remember, you had that scan.

It's so black and white for men, isn't it?!
