QQ - Brilliant news!! How many eggs do they harvest usually?

Loads of cramps here so AF is almost certainly on her way. What do implantation cramps feel like?

    QQ- great news!

Needhelpsaving, welcome to the forum. There are several people on here that are trying again after miscarriages, I'm sure one of them will pop up soon.

Went to the doctors today to see if they would change their minds about making me change doctors. OH went in to talk to them as he's a bit more talkative than me. The receptionist has gone to talk to my doctor after hours tonight to see if he will let me stay for a while until we have had a chat about ttc and another health problem I have arising at the moment. So fingers crossed, I don't mind transfering doctors after a ttc chat.

In other news looks as though things could be changing for us anyway. We got a mortgage in principal this morning, and have found a house we love in our village and can easily afford. It's early days, but we will see.

It is exciting, unforunately we've been in this position 3 times before, twice we got gazzumped, and once our mortgage fell through the day before we were meant to exchange contracts. So not staying very hopeful. Plus hubby has a poor credit rating because of the refused mortgage last time, however he explained our worries about a mortgage being pulled, and they have said they can't see there being a problem as we have such a large deposit.

Totally agree with this! I find that the best people to see in the GP surgery are the nurses and newly qualified doctors. The old hands just don't know/care as much. I told my doctor yesterday that my cycles were now around 30/31 days, told her about doing lunaception (she clearly didn't have a clue what that was, just smiled and nodded! :p) and how I OV around day 20 and have a shorter LP than normal. She then drew me a little chart of a 28-day cycle showing that 'I' OV on day 14 so should book in for blood tests on CD21. Had to explain a couple of times before she figured out that I should be booking in for CD25! :p At least she did listen to me which is a bonus! :)

Wow thats scary she was harping on about cd14 after you telling her your cycles were 30-31! Honestly. At least she did listen to you though!

Claire: In a word. Yes. Although i don't always get to 7 DPO because that's when AF starts. I have a very short LP which is the issue I think needs addressing.

Anyway, my temp went up again today. Very odd.

Hope everyone is having a good day :)

Edit: I will post the cake pic when I get home!

Hmm so what are you going to do then when you go in to talk about your tests? I would be asking them why did they make me do a 7dpo test when I was not 7dpo!!

on the doctor front, the nasty one i didn't like asked me to track my cycles, i said ok, when do i count AF, spotting or full flow he said 'you mean you can tell the difference?'. no wonder i went requesting a referral to the consultant

Thanks for the welcome (I'm 25).

Unfortunatley, I had to have my right fallopian tube removed. They say they checked the left and it's healthy, so thats good.

If i'm honest I am a little scared about it happening again - without meaning to be nosey - is there anyone else here who is trying again after miscarriage? :o

    Hi Needhelp and welcome,

I had an ectopic and right fallopian tube removed 2 weeks ago, so we are in pretty much the same situation - except I'm 40 and already have a child which takes the pressure off a little (though I will be terribly upset if it happens again).

Have you charted your cycles and found out what day you typically ovulate etc? My plan of action is to visit GP when I get my first AF post-ectopic and see what tests would be appropriate eg measuring progesterone levels. I want to do utmost to correct any imbalances that may have contributed to the ectopic before I try again. We are much more at risk of having a second ectopic according to statistics so i think its worth getting really prepared for the next conception attempt.

With me, I think having a late ovulation/short luteal phase shows that something is deffo out of balance somewhere and that may have contributed. So going to chart for the next 3 months and see what I can do to lengthen my cycle/bring forward ovulation.

Lots of women go on to have healthy pregnancies after an ectopic though, and you do have youth on your side!

A voila. It's not on its board yet and I might do another tier, but this is my mum's cake :)

Anyway. To relpy to everyone else.

Needsaving - Hi :) Welcome to the thread. Everyone is lovely here and there are lots of women trying after m/c's. Some have sadly suffered more than others. I was going to mention JoJo to speak to when you said about having an ectopic, but it seems she has beaten me to it. Hopefully she will be able to give you more specific advice.

JoJo - I hope you are feeling okay today.

Claire - As others have said, GP's tend not to listen. I don't think mine even knew what a leutal phase was. I'm not complaining that she has referred me as at least a FS will know what s/he is talking about. Another problem is that I don't always get to 7 DPO because my LP is so short.

Vesper - GOOD LUCK ON THE HOUSE! OH and I got gazumped on our current house which was incredibly annoying as I was no-chain AND buying with cash....!! It was a case of greed coming before being sensible. The other couple only offered £1000 more (how ridiculous), but had a mortgage and were in a chain. Thankfully someone made them see sense and they went with us in the end. Still, unnecessary stress. Fingers crossed it all works out for you!!

QQ - I wasn't ss'ing, I promise! I'm almost certain AF will be starting during the night or tomorrow as I know these cramps. I just wondered what implantation cramps were like. Great news about your eggy and getting a date. How many will they take?

BigBird - Hugs for CD1, but yay for using CBFM! Hopefully it'll bring you some luck.

TeaLover - I know nothing about SA's but hopefully your FS will be able to help you and OH get your forever baby :)

Teaandcakes - Welcome :) As someone else said, there are no silly questions! I ask them all the time :D Anything we can help with, feel free to fire away!
