Tea Lover you'll be fine cos you'll be aware and take ten seconds to breath and other such management techniques when you do get upset. and if it works it'll hopefully only be a couple of weeks that you're feeling like that
it's only really the clomid you need to worry about, metformin just makes you poo! rofl
codemonkey *big hugs* it's hard for us all, no matter what the person has been through before it still them and not usi'm sure your friend will understand that you're very excited and happy for her really, just we all have bad days and you know, i think we're biologically programme to feel competitive about this stuff
I've booked a room at Aberdunant Hall Country Hotel (porthmadog)proper middle of nowhere with lovely grounds, 4.5 on trip advisor and grounds look fab from the pictures. got a 4 poster bed! 190 squids for 2 nights b and b, well chuffed x xLittle Lowe born January 2014 at 36+6

codemonkey - you are so definitely not a bad person. It sounds like you've been (and very much continue to be!) a great friend and have offered lots of support. It's natural to be jealous when someone else has what you want, it doesn't mean you don't want them to have it too.
I know it can't always be easy being pg, but I swear sometimes if I hear someone complain again about morning sickness or stretch marks I could just hit them. How horrible is that??
I think as long as we know we're being a bit unreasonable when we think things like that we're fine. It's normal to be upset, this is really hard work! I don't think people who get pg easily can ever really understand how soul-destroying this can be. The waiting, the constant counting of cycle days and checking of signs, the disappointment every flaming cycle, You can't go through all of that for all this time and not feel annoyed with the world from time to time.
Sorry for such a ridiculous ramble! What I meant to say was big hugs, and take care xx.0 -
Aargh - am having a major panic ladies.
Am freaking out about this. Am really scared about side effects of the metformin and clomid, particularly mood swings. I struggle a bit with my temper anyway and I'm really worried that it's going to turn me into a complete b*tch and that my OH won't put up with it.
Have had loads of different hormone treatments (for endo) in previous years and have never felt like this. I just feel terrified about it all today. Scared it won't work, scared it will make me ill, just generally scared.Am stuck at work till at least 1pm and I think I might cry. I think the reality of how much help we need, and how unlikely this is to work, is just hitting me now.
Someone please give me a slap and calm me down before I hyperventilate at my desk.
Hugs tealover. Must be scary, but it will be ok. You'll get through it and your OH will just have to put up with your hormonal outbursts because he loves you. It will be worth it when you have your forever baby.
Sure i wanted to say something else but my brain has shut down.
Thanks TL. Just feel like such a horrible person, you know. Think we've all been there.
Eta. Oh yeah, i remember now. I was going to ask if you can take kalms or somethingEu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -

Unfortunately not. I looked a while ago as I used to take them and found them quite helpful but they're not suitable when TTC. If anyone has any TTC-friendly suggestions for something similar that's worked for them that would be great.0 -
QQ - After some research I have decided that my temp dip at 3PDO was a fallback rise, do can you put me at 8DPO. Cramps, but no AF yet.
Big Hugs for anyone who needs them xxx Code - You are an amazing person and an equally good friend. Big big hugs for you. Xxx

How about Bach's Rescue Remedy Tealover? I believe that's safe whilst TTC/PG
Hugs and slaps for you too!
Good deal on the hotel TeamLowe, have a lovely time!
Hugs CodeOvercome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
JoJoB, babies grow up too fast don't they:o
Tea lover, I've never tried metformin, but with clomid, one only takes it for 5 days at the beginning of the cycle (reasonably calm part of the cycle) and you take it in the night, so that you sleep through most of the side effects:o
AFM, I didn't have any mood swings (I'm a calm person throughout the cycle though).
As for metformin, you can wean into it, by starting off with low doses. Good luck:o
codemonkey, (((hugs))), you really need to get pg asap:cool:
As for morning sickness, I don't envy that. I never want to experience that again, ever (OK, so why do I still ttc?:p)
TeamLowe, your hotel sounds brilliant:happyhear0 -
I didn't know that about kalms tealover. Thanks for that. They've been my go-to calm down preparation since uni.
Ok some positives about the BFN
I'll be able to drink at social events and avoid awkward questions.
Might go and get some soft cheese for lunch.
It'll give me time to lose the 2stones I put on since getting married and get my body into shape for baby.
More time to sort finances.
Looks like I wont have to worry about flying during the first trimester anymore - it's not likely I'll be pregnant before September.
I was hoping it woud happen this month - we're potentially going to lose some money from our pay in a few months - about a quarter of my monthly wage - because of unfair cost cutting measures. If this happens I'll be looking for a new job because there is no way I'm doing the same job for less money. But the maternity allowances are excellent so had I been pregnant, I'd have stayed. Now I might have to wait.
PMA PMA PMA. Definitely going to get chocolate at lunchtime.Eu não sou uma tartaruga. Eu sou um codigopombo.0 -
