Aargh - am having a major panic ladies.

Am freaking out about this. Am really scared about side effects of the metformin and clomid, particularly mood swings. I struggle a bit with my temper anyway and I'm really worried that it's going to turn me into a complete b*tch and that my OH won't put up with it.

Have had loads of different hormone treatments (for endo) in previous years and have never felt like this. I just feel terrified about it all today. Scared it won't work, scared it will make me ill, just generally scared. :( Am stuck at work till at least 1pm and I think I might cry. I think the reality of how much help we need, and how unlikely this is to work, is just hitting me now.

Someone please give me a slap and calm me down before I hyperventilate at my desk.

    Hi,

I have really been struggling with moodiness, so I thought I would throw in what I am doing. From your name I am guessing you like tea, so camomile tea etc is good, not just the tea, but the whole process of taking yourself away. Waiting for the kettle, blowing on the tea, sipping and being forced to focus on this little task all helps me. My Mum used to make tea all the time and never drink it, so we would go around and pick up cold teas around the house - so I must have inherited part of that habit!

I am also taking 1 aspirin a day, and EPO for the first half of the cycle. Not sure which one is helping, but I feel a lot more stable emotionally so far. Lets see how the month goes!

And if you can find somewhere nice and cheap locally, I LOVE reflexology. Not sure if it really works, but an hours foot massage is fabulous. I go to chinese places, and they don't talk to you - I think some western practitioners take it all a tad too seriously and want to discuss everything with you. I just like the massage. :)

I didn't know that about kalms tealover. Thanks for that. They've been my go-to calm down preparation since uni.

Ok some positives about the BFN

I'll be able to drink at social events and avoid awkward questions.
Might go and get some soft cheese for lunch.
It'll give me time to lose the 2stones I put on since getting married and get my body into shape for baby.
    More time to sort finances.
Looks like I wont have to worry about flying during the first trimester anymore - it's not likely I'll be pregnant before September.

I was hoping it woud happen this month - we're potentially going to lose some money from our pay in a few months - about a quarter of my monthly wage - because of unfair cost cutting measures. If this happens I'll be looking for a new job because there is no way I'm doing the same job for less money. But the maternity allowances are excellent so had I been pregnant, I'd have stayed. Now I might have to wait.

PMA PMA PMA. Definitely going to get chocolate at lunchtime.

With a TLP I think you are still in the game this month code. It's only 13BPO, so check again with FMU.

(what a lot of acronyms in one sentence)

I had a chat with a friend today, and actually mentioned that we are ttc - sort of in passing. I could see the slight shock on her face, as she does know we have tried in the past, and I think it's the elephant in the room people are too scared to mention. It's impacted our relationship as I have felt she was holding something back for a while. I'm still terrified talking to her that she will say she is pregnant (last time it was on her first month off the pill) but people can be more sensitive than you think. Always hard, but in some ways maybe it would be easier if I talked to people a bit more honestly.

I wish it was all easier too!

I think I'd be feeling a bit more positive if I hadn't had tlps before that came to nothing. I'm believing the frer (did it with FMU) for my own sanity as much as anything else. Plus I have really bad AF cramps and all my symptoms have disappeared.

Never should have listened to ceiling lady. :rotfl:

Did see 3 magpies earlier and straight after that I found a 4 leaf clover, so maybe my luck will change.

I don't know why I'm so weird about people knowing. My pregnant friend knows, and I told a bloke I used to work with because he was telling my about his troubles ttc his daughter. I think...I don't want people to feel sorry for me if it never happens.

It is strange how you will tell random people, but not those closest too you. I have discussed it once or twice at people after a few wines, but not to close friends. I don't want people feeling sorry for me either, but I also genuinely think it will work out in the end - one way or the other, so I don't think they should feel sorry for me - which leads to a weird dynamic!

No hugs needed for me today. In a good mood in the sunshine and the Olympics are nearly here! yay!

    Hey Ladies,

Just after some tips please... What did you get DH on your 1st wedding anniversary? Or what would be a good present?

Its ours coming up in 10 days, eekkk! Had got a plan of something to get and its all gone a bit pete tong and now I don't have a back up plan.

He likes motorsport - in particular F1, and his motorhome too. Have a budget of approx £100 altho would prefer not to spend as much as that if pos. He has already done all sorts of driving days, had a tour of silverstone, and i bought him a experience gift of flying a small plane thing for christmas which he still hasn't organised.

I would quite like to get to something 'paper' but then that limits choices so I aren't sticking to that rigidly.

I thought about tickets to something, but I don't think theres any music band he would like to see or a play or anything like that.

    Am stumped basically, lol!!

Sorry for going completely off topic here. I'll get back with the TTC chat later. Not doing so good at the mo. Levels weren't brill this week. Missed the 8 week cut off point. Saw the GP and have been referred for counselling so in the system now but may be a while what with waiting lists etc. Feeling a bit fed up with it all really, so thought planning something nice for our anniversary might help take my mind off it all.

Qq - good egg growing :D Hope the transfer all goes ok :T

Hugs for all the CD1 peeps. Naughty witch coming to get you - hope its the last time this year that you see it.
 Married my lobster in July 2011

TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait :o

 2013 is going to be our lucky year
