Good luck for tomorrow QQ :)

Went to the Doctor this afternoon about a non-TTC issue but mentioned it whilst I was there and I'm now booked in for a CD21 blood test (albeit on CD25 since I explained when I OV and my 10-day LP, think she was a little surprised by how much I knew :o) I'm happy and surprised that she was so keen to start the ball rolling with tests already as I thought I'd be told to go back once it's been a full year. :)

    Hi all,

Firstly - congrats 2ba2c! I was just thinking about you the other day and trying to imagine how much harder TTC must be for you. It's hard enough to get DH in the right place at the right time in the right mood... can't imagine how hard it is with a donor.

Anyway, huge huge congrats, and hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months. :)

Lilymay, bad news on the progesterone, but as the others say at least you know and it's something that can be addressed.

Welcome to the newbies. Hopefully we won't see you here for long - in the nicest possible way.

AFM, heading into another cycle happily enough. I'm taking aspirin each day. AF lasted 2 full days last month, and then 1 day of non-red blood. Still not long enough in my opinion, but at least better than the 1 day I had last month so I will keep up Aspirin. I'm also taking EPO as it really seems to help my mood swings, and will re-start folic acid now as we are properly trying this cycle again.

Good luck to everyone, and hopefully my prediction of 11 BFP's will be right again!

Brilliant news! I wish my GP had listened a bit more to what I was saying. I'm not at all surprised by my progesterone being so low - because I knew I hadn't bl00dy ovulated! I tried to explain to her that I have been having a 7-8 day LP and I have continually ovulated on CD21 (although this cycle appears to have ben CD23 ), but she just kept insisting it was done on CD21.

I've just made the first layer of my mothers birthday cake. Do u guys wanna see it? Its pink!!

Do you think maybe the test was actually only showing it as low because for you day 21 is not 7dpo - if thats what the test is supposed to be Im not 100% sure but I assume thats why its done then?

And in that case perhaps youre totally 'normal'? Im sure someone else on this post once wrote that their doc got them to do the test at 7dpo not at just day21.

I honestly dont think some doctors know what they are talking about/listen/understand on some of this stuff - like when I once explained to this one about why I wanted to change pills types and he had NO idea what I was on about - even after looking it up in a book and still getting it wrong  I ended up booking an appt with a nurse and she knew what I needed straight away!

    Hi all,
Saw a lovely nurse yesterday who was very helpful. I definitely need folic acid, as I have a sensitivity to gluten and I'm to avoid gluten whilst TTC (which I knew from online searching). She also recommended Vitamin D as I've suffered from SAD in the past - luckily I can deal with the emotional symptoms now but I still get really tired so Vitamin D is usually my crutch from September - April so I'll just start taking it early.

Having a cortisone injection this morning in my wrist and trying to push for an X-ray sooner rather than later, just incase! Dr knows I'm TTC so hopefully that'll speed up the process.

Waiting game until I can say I'm CD1 now...

QQ - hope all goes well today :) thinking of you!

Onlywayisup - I came off Yasmin in April, had my first period at end of June & not ov-ed since!

Brought myself some Soy yesterday, going to try that from next cycle.

    11 days until honeymoon!!

Gem - hope you get things sorted ASAP, glad you saw a lovely nurse.

Totally agree with this! I find that the best people to see in the GP surgery are the nurses and newly qualified doctors. The old hands just don't know/care as much. I told my doctor yesterday that my cycles were now around 30/31 days, told her about doing lunaception (she clearly didn't have a clue what that was, just smiled and nodded! :p) and how I OV around day 20 and have a shorter LP than normal. She then drew me a little chart of a 28-day cycle showing that 'I' OV on day 14 so should book in for blood tests on CD21. Had to explain a couple of times before she figured out that I should be booking in for CD25! :p At least she did listen to me which is a bonus! :)

I haven't told OH about my test yet, or that he'll be required to produce a sample if my bloods come back normal! I slipped my worries about his fertility into a chat yesterday and he just shuddered and said, 'If we don't think about it the problem will disappear. That's how you deal with most of our problems, why not this?!' :o Can understand why he's reluctant to get a test because what if we find out something is wrong with us and we're told we can't concieve? We want a baby so badly it hurts. :o

Lily, post the picture of the cake! I love cake pics! :)

Very excited about the honeymoon Becca! Are you all ready to go? :)

Hello ladies - feels like it's been ages!

Had a lovely few days away by the seaside... just a shame about the lorry driver going into the back of my car on the way home. Still, we're both ok apart from sore necks and a few bruises and the car's (hopefully!) fixable so it could have been worse!

TTC-wise... had another FS appt yday. OH's first SA results not brilliant. They didn't have all the results for some reason but the main one they were concerned about was the number of sperm. Only 1.1 million and they said 'normal' is about 15. 1.1 million still sounds like a lot to me, we only need one! He's got another test in 6 weeks to check again and has had some initial blood tests done.

In the meantime I've been prescribed metformin and clomid to try and regulate ov. Need to get the prescriptions sorted as they all come from different places but should be on the metformim by next week, then clomid starts at the next AF. Will then have to undergo follicle tracking which is a pain as they only do the scans at cov so it's going to be a lot more time off work. Am starting to think I may have to tell them something soon.

Hope everyone's ok. Am off to read back and catch up what's happening x.
