Hi Helenik - ((hugs)) for the negative test.

If you've only been off the
pill (or other birth control) for a few months, it is quite normal for your body
to take a while to settle down. I had one 48 day cycle on my third cycle after
coming off the pill. Depending on whether you have a history of irregular
cycles, your GP might just ask you to come back if no AF in another few weeks or
    even months.

Try not to worry too much, but if you have a nice GP then
it might be worth going along for some reassurance.

Thank you Mrsj28, i took myself along to the dr as i thought there is no harm but he was a dr i've never had before. i'm more confused than before i went.:(

He said if i was pg then it would have shown up by know, he doesn't think its a cyst, doesn't think its a problem with my ovaries as ive ovulated on my last cycles and had my periods before this one. Told me to see how i feel in a week or so. then ended it as it could be an ectopic pregnancy but i dont think so.

So feeling very confused but i'll leave it another week but i think i will make another appt with a different dr!

Hugs to everyone that needs them xxx

Donor visited  and I'm now 1DPO, now I just have to figure out how to keep myself busy over the next 2 weeks.

What are people's opinions on alcohol during the 2ww? Got a party this weekend and wondering if I should sit it out or not.

    I am :o

My best friend had her baby yesterday and I was trying so hard not to be jealous but....... As I said - she is my best friend. I was the second person to know about her pregnancy. She sent me a picture message asking if she was imagining the second line. She assured me that when the time came, I was on the list of people to be told straight away what she'd had. I found out two and a half hours after the event. On facebook via a mutual friend. :(.

So my overwhelming emotion at the moment is one of sadness that I'm being pushed away a little. PMA is really low today and I have a huge headache that I just can't shift.

  • ((((Hugs)))) COMP but that doesn't make you a bad friend in any way! Its a shame she didn't tell you herself but she maybe just got caught up in the moment, busy with the first few hours with her new family or was just a bit worried flaunting her happiness would hurt you. You haven't been a bad friend at all, jealousy and a bit of upset is so normal when ttc, as long as you don't let it stop you being there for her then you're still the best friend.

you know, that's exactly why my sister deactivated her facebook as soon as she went into labour, only activated it again once everyone important had been told

2.5 hours after a baby is born is no time at all, especially if she was high as a kite lol you don't know when she was planning on telling you, just some blabbermouth who heard it from the dad's sister or whatever spread it around before she had chance!! you never know, she could be just as miffed as you are that that's how you found out and was waiting til she got her head straight to give you a ring and give all the gory details x x

((hugs)) COMP - you are definitely not a bad friend!

I agree with TeamLowe - we have this one friend who is a nightmare on Facebook. A good friend of ours had a baby recently, and said nightmare friend posted on her wall, about an hour after the baby had been born, saying 'Congratulations on the birth of [full name including middle name]!' I'm amazed she hadn't added the birthweight.

Nice friend who'd had the baby texted me later in the afternoon to let me know the baby had arrived, and had no idea that nightmare friend had plastered it all over facebook, and was devastated!

When I have a baby I'll definitely deactivate Facebook for that very reason! Needless to say I have changed the settings for nightmare friend already so that she can't post anything on my wall!

    Comp you're not a bad friend .

To the ladies who are overdue .AF and have had a BFN are worried, don't be. Sometimes for whatever reason your body just malfunctions and skips a month, maybe because you ovulated later, or didn't ovulate or the hormone balance was slightly off or whatever. My GP told me not to worry until you've skipped 6 months.

Ok, this is going to sound super weird but I'm sharing anyway . Last night I was lying in bed just drifting to sleep when above me an old lady appeared. She had a boy and a girl on either side of her (I'm guessing it was a dream even though I felt awake as old ladies do not live on my ceiling ). As soon as I saw her she took both children by the hand and started to fly away then let go of the girl and flew off with the boy and disappeared. The girl fell, disappeared into my stomach and I woke up with cramps and a voice in my ear saying "now you're pregnant".

On the basis of that , I did an ic this morning but bfn. Weird though .

When we have our LO I'll be asking friends and family to keep quiet about it on FB until we've let everyone know ourselves. I just know that BIL will be wanting to put photos and details on his FB page so he can get all the glory of becoming an uncle, so that when we go on and put a photo up everyone will be like, 'Oh yeah, seen it already. Old news!' :o Whilst I think that the concept of FB is great there is no accounting for the stupidity and tactlessness of its users! ;)

What a weird dream Code! Would have been amazing if you got a BFP this morning! :)
