Vesper I know what you mean about being bored!! I am now on cd32 and I'm guessing I didn't ovulate when I thought I did on cd11 (even though I got a positive opk and what I thought was ovulation pain).
Did a pregnancy test last friday (cd27) and was negative. Wish the witch would hurry up now so we can get on with next cycle!!
On the plus side just over a week before I finish for the summer hols - bliss!

    Hugs to all xx

Very quick message before my nazi course director confiscates my phone....

QQ - Can you change me to 3DPO please? I think that ov'ing on CD23 fits in better with my OPK's and CM. I don't want to get put back 3 days but such is life!

Vesper and Elsie - big hugs to you both. Maybe you both did ov later, which is why you havn't yet got a +test :D pma! Pma!

wow this is my longest cycle for a while. Bored of it now... zzzz. I must have been very wrong about when I ov'd as there is no way my lp can be 20 days, it's a very regular 13days. Which annoys me even more as we could have dtd this month if it was a week after when i thought it was. Will be glad when AF arrives and I can use the cbfm again.

Feeling stuck in a rut, we live in a small 2 bedroomed house, which really isn't ideal for a child, as the spare room is teenie. But if we move to a 3 bedroom (we rent) it'll cost much much more than getting a mortgage. We have a nice deposit for a house, and are viewing one next week, but as OH has been very silly financially in the past (pre-me) he has a terrible credit rating, and as we have been refused a mortgage several times before, I can't see this being the route either for us.
OH was in tears earlier as he feels it's all his fault for blowing all of his money and getting in huge debt when he was younger. He doesn't seem to understand he's not the same man as he was. He just said he's a failure and he can't do anything for us,- no house, no children, a job with very unsociable hours so we never see each other and when we do he falls asleep.

((hugs)) Vesper - I just wanted to let you know that we were in a similar position, we were renting a small flat and had saved a good deposit for a house, but DH had a terrible credit rating due to having a lot of debt when he was younger. We had to 'sit it out' for a couple of years but eventually he got to the point where he had a good credit rating and we have just bought a 3 bed house. He joined the electoral roll, didn't apply for any credit at all except for his phone contract, and any credit we did need/have was in my name (I had a very good rating). I know it doesn't help when people say 'well I was in the same situation...' but I just wanted to say you won't be in that rut forever, there is definitely hope to get out of it. Hugs xx

p.s. can I join the 'bored of long cycles' gang? CD33 here and according to my CD21 results everything was fine, but I must have OV'd lateish as no sign of AF yet. All the PMS signs though, so expecting it to show any day now :(

    Congratulations 2ba3c

Think I ovalated yesterday - tho might be today, judging by test.

My lovely hubby knew it was around this time and insisted we BD despite his tonsillitus, as he knew how much it meant to me - ahhhh! So I'm at least in with a shot this month, and it gave me another reason to love hubby that bit more!

Vesper, if you look at the 'mortgage and endowments' board there's a few good mortgage advisers on there who should be able to tell you your chances/what you need to do to improve before you apply for one if you give them enough details. i'm always lurking there (i see it as optimistic research, trying to get an idea of how it all works lol) and they've helped a lot of people in similar situations to you.

Abis, your nurse is completely right and that's what my counselling helped me to see, that it is part of my story now and nothing can change that. a year on i can definitely say it's easier but it never goes away. the control thing is definitely hard though! still wish i had a crystal ball. wouldn't mind what it showed me, as long as i knew how things would turn out

For QQ and our other older ladies, on the today program this morning, starting at about 7:45 if you want to listen again, they was singing the praises of older mums and how the children of older mums are better off x x

Hugs Lemon and Vesper. Hope you're both feeling a little more positive today :)

Bless your hubby Loulou! Hope the BD hit the mark so it was worth his suffering! :)

Your post was really lovely Abis, I hope you get your forever baby very soon :)

Having a very fed up and bored of waiting day today :o We've picking up our family friendly car tomorrow... and we've got no family to put in it! :(

Hi Helenik - ((hugs)) for the negative test.

If you've only been off the pill (or other birth control) for a few months, it is quite normal for your body to take a while to settle down. I had one 48 day cycle on my third cycle after coming off the pill. Depending on whether you have a history of irregular cycles, your GP might just ask you to come back if no AF in another few weeks or even months.

Try not to worry too much, but if you have a nice GP then it might be worth going along for some reassurance.
  • Morning all,

So ive only really had 1 full day of AF then nothing really. Not sure what to make of this. Not reading to much into it. Its just strange as i have not been on the pill or anything and normally they last 4 days.

Started taking Folic acid and wonder if there is anything else i should be doing? other than Bd of course:rotfl: xxx
