    Evening all,

Fingers crossed for you candlewax that you get your BFP in a few days.

Mrs Bryan I tested one month with a first response test and AF turned up that afternoon. Now, I tend to just wait and see, as I can't deal with the disappointment of doing a test before the due day. Like claire says, if I'm pregnant, the positive will still be there a couple of days later hopefully.

Nothing to report here still. AF here but should be leaving in the next couple of days, so then we can get going for month 7 - hopefully as this thread is number 7 and seems to have been lucky, I'll have the same luck with cycle 7 too.

Hugs to all who need or want them,

    sexymouse xx

Ive just been looking on fertility friend to see what they say about testing. Its quite interesting:

Average Day Past Ovulation (DPO) for the first positive pregnancy test: 13.6 DPO

Average DPO for the first "false" negative test result: 10.3 DPO

Percentage of pregnancy charts with a positive test at 10 DPO: 10%

Average time between the expected period and the first positive pregnancy test: 0.5 days before expected period

So for all the thousands of charts theyve got on there where someone got pregnant, only 10% of people got a postive on 10 dpo anyway, but on average most people get a positive by 13.6 dpo, which would be the day when AF was due, on average anyway. If Im reading that right?

So seems like its worth waiting for!

  • I dont know whether this is going to seem like a silly question or not...

Is there a better time of day to be doing the BD?! :D
We will be trying more for the few days around OV day obviously, but If we do it on the actual OV day but leave it til late in the evening, will it be too late in the day and miss the crucial point!!?

Only asking as we tend to stick to the same time most nights - and my OH might die of shock if I jumped on him earlier in the day! Although he might think its a nice surprise!! :rotfl:

Some people say that the sperm swim better in the morning, squirrel, but I'm not sure that it will matter that much. We are rarely able to DTD in the morning as we both have work.

2 trying to become 3, (((hugs))). You are not out yet though:o
And you will see those 'Pregnant 1-2weeks' really soon:o

Thanks QQ!! I really hope we all get to see those ellusive words soon!! Oh and i don't think my DH is all in one go either, took a bit of getting out for the SA sample anyway (far too much TMI, sorry!!).

Flee i'm totally with you on this one!! Still no AF here either yet!! Sick of waiting now!! I want to move onto my next try!!

Thanks Claire16c for the link to the testing chart thing!! I am not wasting my only other digi so will get a cheapie to test Tuesday am if no AF by then and that day is where 100% of people test positive. Then will see if doc will do anything, i'm always 28 days every month so no idea whats going on!!

Another 3 pregancies announced on facebook today really hit me hard!! Poor DH he's got his hands full with me at the mo!!

Hugs to everyone who needs or wants and SBDTA xx
  • ((((((Hugs))))) 2tryingtobecome3, its so hard with friends getting pregnant not to be really jealous, particularly if they are not very tactful. It's something I'm going to keep in mind when it happens for us.

QQ I assume its the same as other activities we indulge in (where I can see it happening) and most comes out in the first shot and then the 3 or 4 smaller spurts and then some drips... eww.

No interesting news for me, af still here, don't think its ever lasted so long or been so heavy (i know its only 5 days and I feel like a woose moaning but its really not normal for me.) I've made a doctors appointment for Tuesday so hopefully that will put my mind at ease about the ridiculously short cycles I've had, I read about the LPD you were saying about QQ and to diagnose it they would do a blood test at cd 21, I haven't managed to get that far for the last two so that's a bit silly!!

Hope the Sunday night blues are staying away, wishing you a happy monday ladies :)

Be glad it's a bit longer and heavier lemonmelon, my doc cheerily told me if I had less than 5 days of full flow I wasn't fertile enough to conceive anyway. They really should at least hand over a lollypop when they give that kind of news!
  • Aw Kaemi, sometimes doctors don't think before they speak! That's a good idea though, they should give you something nice if they tell you something bad, a sherbet dib dab with the red lolly for dipping would be good, I might suggest it! mine is really light and short normally, my body just seems haywire at the minute!

I think your doctor might be talking nonsense. I didn't have an AF that lasted more than three/four days after coming off the pill and we managed to conceive. The only think I noticed different between the months we didn't (and also the month we mc'd) and the month we caught this one was AF was quite a bit heavier, like I had a proper clear out. Don't know if that made a difference though.

    xx
