  • Its a clearblue brand, one where you can test up to 4 days early. I will get a digi test to do on Tuesday I think. I am spending a fortune on tests but can't help it. I read the result within a minute or two so hopefully not an evaporation line.

    Hugs for bfn bigzippy.

Might just have to grit my teeth and apologise!

Congrats on your tlp Candlewax! x

Does everyone test before AF is due? Or do people generally wait until AF is due and then test if AF doesn't happen?
I suppose it depends on people's situations too though!

    Sounds good to me :)
Is it the one that has a + when pg? If so and if you are like me and like to have a look at it later on, just to check, just thought I'd give you a heads up that the two CB+ I used faded really fast (by fast I mean faded the same day and had disappeared within a couple of days) so don't worry if that happens with yours :o

th_hi5.gif Can we make it a double whammy do you think?;)

Which are they? The only ones I'm forbidden (so far) on TTC grounds are Trimethoprim - Doc wrote that in big capitals! (and he's normally laid back) Hope you're feeling better soon :o

Good luck with it, meeting family again, etc, and hope you're not all too upset :o

    Congratulations betti! :j

Qq I hope me and kaemi can oblige with 2 more in the next few days ;) I'm trying not to ss but frankly it's impossible... I attribute them equally to AF though so it's antigens *edit: anyone's -stupid autocorrect!* guess lol

You're going to have to be positive for both of us, I'm not feeling it much as I'd love that BFP. Af due tomorrow, no real cramps yet which usually I get around 2 evenings before AF arrives, but a bit of twinging so maybe it's going to only be a light one again :( With Fridays very low temp at 11DPO and the twinging and the negative test at 10DPO I think I'd be a bit short sighted to get my hopes up.

Antibiotics are amoxicillin, only 15 tablets worth though.

hope the funeral went ok kaemi (as well as can be expected) :o
Thanks hon. Funeral was today. It went very well, lovely things were said and she had a great turn out. Last night was the removal, which for anyone who hasn't been to a Catholic/Irish funeral is a wierd thing. All the family line up around the sides of a room with the open coffin in the middle, and everyone who wants to pay their respects comes and walks around the room and shakes hands with everyone there, then goes and says a prayer over the coffin if they want to. The room is strictly ranked, all the men first, then close female relatives (such as sisters or daughters) then more distant ones (such as cousins and grandchildren) and finally female spouses of the men. I must have shaken hands with 300 complete strangers, and I felt such a fraud as I should be telling her best friends how sorry I am for their loss, not the other way around when I only met her 6 times! Hubby was quite upset last night, but he was better today. Thanks for asking after us.
  • Thanks emsbet. It is the one with the + for positive. I just had a look and it has faded. Thank goodness you warned me or I would have been stressing! Thank you.

Candlewax. Please don't be upset but those blue dye cross tests can be awful for giving blue lines when it is negative(contradicting myself I know). They show thin lines, and off to the left instead of thick and coloured evenly all the way across. I've had many tests before now with those blue ones that showed a line but were neg. Of course i'm not saying yours is like that, and fingers corssed for a nice BBBFP for you, but just something to bear in mind x

  • Kaemi - glad the funeral went well xx

Yay for the BFP's and TLP xxx:T

Welcome :wave:all the lovely new ladies...hope your stay is short and sweet xx

:rotfl:about you TMI question qq, made me chuckle, childish I know. Think my DH generally does it all in one go...never really asked!

Quick question about pcos, I know symptoms can be acne, excess hair and irregular cycles...just wondering what you would class as irregular cycles?

CD2 here:(:(...feel like a miserable old lady!! Got tummy ache and hurt my knee so am on the sofa with a hot water bottle!!! But got my next appointment at the fertility clinic a week on weds so should get results of mine and DHs tests so should hopefully find out what (if anything) is stopping us getting pg

Hope everyone has had a lovely weekend

Really bad memory, but someone mentioned a food and music festival this weekend - was it Harvest at Jimmys? What was it like as we were thinking of going? Maybe next year with bubba:D?? x

    xx

Im only going to test if AF doesnt appear when I expect it to and Id prob then wait maybe 2-3 days after that. I didnt even know that people tested before that until I started reading all these ttc websites!

I figure that if Im pregnant, then thats great and so waiting a couple of days isnt going to make any difference in the long term. And if Im not, then whats the point in wasting money on tests, and getting my hopes up by testing beforehand only to get negatives which I could get by just waiting a day or two for AF?

Also, not to mention that you could get a false negative that early on anyway, so it seems kind of pointless to me.

Each to their own I guess! :)
