  • Hi trixietoes! We're going to the Riveria Maya too, 11 nights at the El Dorado Royale, cant bloody wait! Get away from this miserable weather! Im slighty worried about drinking alcohol whilst away, we're all inc and the cocktails look amazing! As its our honeymoon, want to enjoy myself and be relaxed....and its highly unlikely we'll fall on the first month trying.....what will u be doing, having a drink or not? Have fun in Cuba, thats next on our list! Xx

    Hello all lovely ladies :D

Well it seems as though only a few short days after getting my PCOS diagnosis, my cycle has gone HAYWIRE!

I'm on my 5th month of using the CBFM and this month, I'm *still* on lows on CD19, so its obviously just missed it. It always always picked up my estrogen, I wonder whats going on (I'm not taking anything or doing anything differently). I've not seen any other signs, so perhaps this is just a month I wont ovulate.

So frustrating to not ovulate each month, I at least want to be in with a shot.

You'll love it I am sure. The cocktails are amazing and they will make anything you ask for and make one up for you if you say what type of cocktail you'd like.. sweet/sour/shot etc

I thought about the drinking thing too, I will have a few drinks as the 2nd part of our holiday is all inc too.

I asked the question a few weeks ago about food/drinking/meds and someone said that their Dr told her that you need to start being careful once implantation has occurred as before then the egg has no physical connection to your body so not taking nutrients off you (which for me that makes sense) (this is not medical advice from my BTW). But by the same token I don't want to take any unnecessary risks so moderation. However, many ladies don't drink etc so I would say obviously do what you feel comfortable with. I will be approx 10DPO when I get back so I feel I may be ok - just.

Many people have fell pregnant on the 1st month..fingers crossed it happens for you.

Hi 2b, I've got PCOS as well and I don't ov until CD20-ish, this month I ov'd CD23, and didn't get a +OPK until CD22 so don't give up! You could still ov, it just might be a long cycle :) That's one of the problems with PCOS, it's very hard to pin down your cycle length, mine are all over the place so I end up using OPKs from around CD11 until I get a + one. Thankfully I use IC otherwise it would cost a fortune! :money:

  • Can i go slightly off topice for a moment.... Obviously we are TTC and I want a family more than anything but what is everyone's plans with regards to working and childcare, personally I would place my child into childcare after my mat leave so I can go back to work, this would be 9am - 6pm, however what would happen when they start nursery/school and finish at 3pm???? Just a thought that crossed my mind and am curious as to what your plans would be. I have no family who live locally so would not be able to get family to help out

Sorry to let you down BigZ and leave my cycle buddy alone, but CD1 for me please. Feeling less dispondant this month than any other - I think I've stopped expecting it to happen! If anyone knows any good websites for fertility friendly diets please let me know (by diet I more mean a plan rather than to loose weight). This cycle was back down to 26 days, but as I had a 13 day luteal (compared to 10 on my last 26 day cycle) I'm not too bothered - it gets me on to the next cycle more quickly at least.

Nope, woman. A scarily efficient, jolly, no nonsense woman only a few years older than me with a small football team of children.

Think my antibiotics have given me a touch of thrush to add insult to injury. This is not my day.

ETA: LittleMissGiggle childminders will do the after school pick up as well if you just need them for those 3 hours or whathaveyou a day. Some people also manage to get their employer to alter their hours to start early and finish early for example so one partner can drop the kids at school and the other pick them up.

boo for AF :(. I've got the "baby making bible" by Emma Cannon and it's got lots of advice regarding diet when ttc. There's a lot of emphasis on traditional chinese medicine so it's a bit "alternative" for some but I really like it. She works with drs and fertility specialists too so it works in conjunction western medicine. You basically identify a "type" which suits you best and change your diet and lifestyle in order to optimise your cycle. There are lots of food recommendations and a few recipes as well as stuff like yoga excercises, meditation and general advice on your reproductive health.
