My dh seems to come out over a minute or two. As far as I can tell it comes in waves so four or five erm ... Spurts? Maybe?
Thanks, glad I didn't bring it up to DH:p
pee at six then not drink for two hours then test at 8???
You should do that:o Test at 9 would be even better.

Sometimes my DH comes *bang* all in one "load"(!), and sometimes it takes a few spurts, just read this out loud to my DH, he looks unimpressed...!

No it doesn't, there seems to be an initial 'bigger' for want of a better phrase spurt followed by a few little ones. It doesn't shoot out all at once.
    Thanks:o
QQ my OH is exactly the same :)
    Glad DH is 'normal':o
I said the other day I really need to sort myself out exercise wise etc. Well don't know why I did it to myself but used the scales in Boots yesterday and since my wedding (July) I have put on HALF A STONE :eek:
One usually loses weight prior to weddings to look good on the day:o
So I think it is quite normal to go back up:o
So I know this is a naughty question, but when can I test???? I think AF1 is due Thursday/Friday.....
    Friday?:D

I've been giggling away this morning at the last few messages  - childish I know but its nice to see its all very open!!
:naughty: We are all serious here - not:p
    Welcome:wave:
but want to make sure - what are the best ones to use? Do they work?
I noticed some of you buy them from Amazon - are these reasonable as cant really afford a lot of expense!
They are quite cheap. It comes in different sizes, so you can try with a smaller packet to see if it works. Is your cycles regular? Then normal ones should be fine. It it is irregular, are overweight, have acne and excessive hair, then you may have PCOS, in which case you may need a less sensitive ones.

It's the start of SMEP for me, so I started off with my 1st OPK today... and I have a faint line.... already, 6 days earlier than usual.

Is there anything that would cause this? Is it just a blip? Or can Ovulation days have this much of a change?
Faint lines are very common, we always have some LH in our system. Sometimes more sometimes less, but it shoots up when ov nears:)
  • Afternoon ladies :)

Well, I'm sure I started to OV yesterday.....lots of ewcm.....but unfortunately me and hubby had a massive argument and he slept on the sofa
Still not really talking at the moment, we normally give each other a bit of space if we've had an row. He's watching the Grand Prix, sulking! Will have to make up soon though because we need to BD today! It might mean me apologising first but I'm so stubborn and it really wasn't my fault!! :D

    Welcome squ1rrel5!

    Hope everyone is ok! xx
Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference :)

Afternoon all, having a nice relaxing Sunday. I am CD25 now but due to OH being ill this month the thing you have to do to get those BFP's hasn't been done so unless I am carrying the next Messiah I am just waiting for CD1 :rotfl:

Oh well onwards to month 2 and I will just have to pounce on OH if he is still not feeling great!

  • Well....I did a preg test a couple of hours ago and got a TLP! AF is not due until Thursday so I can't quite believe it. It was a faint line but DH could see it too so i'm sure it's not just in my mind. It was faint though and its very early so could it be a false positive at 11dpo? I am going to test again on Tuesday to make sure.

I am so happy but also very shocked as my temps only went up for one day which is another reason I think the test may be wrong?

DH was very sweet but then after an hour he said "if you are pregnant you will still sleep with me won't you?". Seriously....MEN!!! Half of me is finding that little question funny and the other is very annoyed at him! Of all the reactions he could give he chose that one!

Goodness my head is in a swirl, I can't quite believe the test is right.

    Congratulations Candlewax :j

False positives are extremely rare! How long did you leave the test before reading it? Evaporation lines are faielt common if you read the test after about ten minutes. The way to tell the difference is that evaporation lines are grey and TLPs have the colour of the test strip. 11DPO is early so it is likely it's a TLP and in the next few days it will turn into a lovely BFP for you :)

Candlewax, what brand is the test? False positives are very rare, I take it you haven't had any kind of trigger shot or anything like that to screw with the result.
Evaporation lines can cause people to think they have a positive but if you got it within the time frame and it looks like the instructions say it should look like, and most importanlty DH can see it also :-) then it sounds great.
Good luck with your next test! A line is a line as they say.
