8dpo today and so far I have been very good and not even thought about testing...

(ss is a whole other thing however :o)

But PMA, AF will be due next Wednesday, and the following Wednesday is our 20th wedding anniversary and I have booked a really nice restaurant with a good wine list and an exotic menu. So I will either be able to enjoy that meal with abandon as it will be pre ovulation, or I will be able to give my OH a really nice anniversary gift this year :)

    Hello everyone.

I'm 8 dpo today (as according to ic test I ovalated day early) and whilst I know its too early to SS, I can't help myself lol! My boobs have been really sore since 4 days post ovalation (which never happens till 48 hours ish before AF usually) and I keep getting cramps around my lower button, I'm also contispated (sorry if tmi!) And as I have irritable bowel, this never happens, usually things are the other extreme in that department!)

So fingers crossed, but I know I'm properly seeing 'symptoms' which can be explained in other ways....

Big hugs to all those that need them x

Well I wasn't quite correct about the cramps. AF has just started full flow. Will explain the giant bazookers

Big temp drop to show AF coming as predicted tomorrow. I am so sick of NOT being pregnant.

Why. Why isn't this happening? :(

2ba3c big hugs from me... I can understand a little bit your frustration! Hope next month will be your month. If you change your donor, you might get a better chance, you never know. Enjoy not being pregnant this weekend ;)

    Morning.

Why do they lie to you at school? At ours, we were taught (and believed!), you get good a - levels, then a good degree, then you have a fab high flying career for a few years before finding the man of your dreams at 27, marriage at 28 after a decent length engagement, kid no 1 at 29 and kid no 2 at 30.

Zcrat, going even further, why do they tell us that if you don't use protection, you get pregnant. They should visit this thread :rotfl:!

QQ when do they put your fertilised egg back :D?

Tea Lover - sorry to hear that

Birdie85 I just started TTC (and it wasn't the best start ever ) but I wouldn't put my life on hold for that. Just enjoy every single day as it comes as if you live your life just for testing then when you get your forever baby, you will look back and regret all that time wasted.

When I was little I was looking forward to grow up, then when I was at uni I was looking forward to start earning my first real money from a real job (not just underpaid-part time jobs), then to get married, buy our first house, so I was constantly looking to get my life started but one day I realised that this "thing" was MY LIFE and I should enjoy every single stage and not living the life just because I wanted to reach to the next level. So book that holiday and enjoy it!

I try my best to see the good part in every difficult situation even if sometimes is really hard and I do recommend to try it one day...even just for a couple of hours. Sorry for the boring rambling :D

Primmer - I like your PMA

Nicki and loulou123 Finger crossed for next week.

Sooo back to me, again:D. The mother of all EWCM is still here but the OPK tests are negative. Last time when I started Lunaception, I had EWCM just for 2 days while using the light but this time it started a little bit earlier than that (well, my cycle is a little bit different this month), today being my second morning using the light and having EWCM for a while now. Saying that I can't complain as I like seeing EWCM. My OH was out last night and we didn't BD  but I might get some action tonight. Need to be sexy this evening so full make up + hairless body (I went for a brasilian this afternoon :D). Wish me luck ladies.

I better not show my OH this! I just said to him 'we have to go to bed a bit early tonight cos we've got to have sex'. I'm fairly defuzzed but that's more by luck than judgement!

I have EWCM today, not loads but very stretchy, not been SMEPing this month, will just DTD for the next three nights and see what happens.

Sorry, was going to write more but I am so tired! This is not good! I must have sex! :rotfl:

claire, the FF boxes in green are your possible fertile days, pink is AF. Not sure about yellow:huh:
    On mine, CD14-18 is green:D

Thanks, I thought as much. Its just strange though cos its got days 24-26 in green - when my average ov is day 28! Then it has a yellowey green for 3 days after that. Then pink days 42-45 - my average cycle is 41! So it doesnt really match up. Oh well. Its never shown up before either.

I'm a bit confused by AF now, it is super light, more like heavy spotting. Surely after a 7 week cycle it should be heavier?! How long do I wait before going to the doctor to ask about the crappy cycles and my doubts that I even OV? I get one day of EWCM and that's it, never had a +ve OPK (although I didn't use them this cycle... because they were useless before!). It's been 5 months now, I suppose if I go now I'll just get told that things are still settling down... but that doesn't make me feel any better!

Maybe we should just book the holiday to Florida and buy the theme park tickets and make a list of the scariest rollercoasters we're going to go on and the bars we're going to drink beer in... hopefully it'll tempt fate! ;)

sounds like my cycles. They can be really long but AF is really light. Ive had one heavy AF, and that was from a shorter cycle! Makes no sense to me.

I havent gone to the docs cos weve stopped ttc for a couple of months but I might go anyway as I came off the pill last June.

Weve booked a hol in October, something to look forward to!

Anyway - I am very glad we arent properly ttcing right now, because of my new job, because today I got a text from my best and oldest friend saying she needed to talk to me - which I knew meant she was pg as we started ttc at the same time, so shes been trying for 8 months now, and we both agreed wed let each other know asap if it happened. Anyway, I was extremely happy for her and because we arent trying, I honestly didnt feel jealous or anything, and bizarrely couldnt stop smiling myself, I was really really pleased for her.:T

Then, as I was in mid convo with her on the phone my phone beeped to show another call was coming through. It was another friend - who I dont see all that often now, but as soon as I saw her calling I just knew she must be pg. Because we always text each other other before calling normally, so it had to be either that or something else really important - and shes already married so that couldnt be it lol! So I called her back and yep she is! And because shes one of those sort of 'smug' type of people who has to do everything first and then make out they are so experienced at everything - which is one reason I never told her weve been ttc, I now feel kinda depressed about it all. 2 people in one day was just a little too much!:(

I said to my DH, if we were trying now I think I would have been in floods. The only thing keeping me sane is that I cant get pg until at least June now or wed have to cancel our holiday. And I dont want to be sick in a new job quite just yet :)

Hello all, Hugs to everyone on CD1 like me (blah) or who needs them and good luck to those who are dpo and testing soon.

I've been having a thing and dont a bit more research. I think I'm going to give soy a try next month. On looking back on my chart, when I last took it (first time), it looks like I didnt actually ovulate - which is weird right? Isnt it supposed to bring on ovulation?

Im going to up the doseage to 200mg (which is equivalent of 100mg of clomid right?) and try it tomorrow from CD2 - 6 (is it 5 days in total?)
I feel at this stage if I have nothing to lose! Even if my chart IS showing I am ovulating without the blood test, theres no guarnatees!

    Good morning:wave:

vesper, 3-5 year olds are good in that you don't have to potty train them or do nappies:cool:

In my experience, this really isn't strictly true!

When I called about adoption and had a VERY long chat about it with several adoption agencies, the one thing they all wanted to really hammer home to me was that MOST of the children that end up in Adoption 'process', do so because they can't be looked after by their parent(s) - because they have drug or alcohol additions and some of the children may well have these too.

Many of them will not have had the best start in life and I wouldn't be surprised if more often than not children have toilet issues along with emotional and developmental issues.

I would NEVER want to put anybody off adoption, especially as it's definitely a road I want to go down myself and, I think, an amazing thing to do but I think romanticizing adoption is so far from how it is, those who travel down that path may lead to disappointment.

(QQ - this isn't necessarily aimed at you, the nappy thing made me think of it though)

I used to be a foster parent, so I am talking from my experience from dealing with children before they enter the adoption process and also from my experience as a potential new parent wanting to adopt and my dealings with social services.

I also know those friends and friends of friends who have adopted have THE most wonderful, happiest stories to share.

Vesper, I truly wish you much luck and love on your adoption journey.

2ba3c. Thiink I'm going to need a lot of luck. They recon now that the stastistics show that 9 out of 10 people that apply, get rejected completely. It is not a process that I am going into with much hope, but then even 1% hope is worth a go.
You haven't put me off adoption, I can't see us ever being successful in that way, especially as I am overweight which seems to be a factor of rejection straight away.
