9 out of 10 people get rejected?? That's amazing. I know they have to be rigorous but!

Cd66 or something, 15 dpo with no sign of the usual pre-af spotting. Was going to wait til AF was definitely late before testing, but have to go to a work thing so tested to see if I need to pretend to drink all night.

Got so sick of the internet cheapies that I went and got a cb digital. Is there any more horrible thing than the words 'not pregnant' showing. At least its there in black and white. No lines to analyse. No stick to tilt in the light desperate to see something. I'm not pregnant. I guess I knew, but I'm still really sad.

Wish AF would just come so I can put this draggy cycle behind me. Think I may get so very drunk tonight.

Wasn't there a thing in the news a little while back about making the adoption criteria a little less rigid as so many people were being rejected? I think that if 9/10 people are being refused then something's got to give. I understand that they can't just give kids away to people who aren't going to be able to give them a good life but surely all children really need is love, and the people who've gone so far as to decide to offer their home to a child in need deserve to be given the chance at making a child happy. We haven't thought about adoption but with the selection process as it is, we wouldn't even try for fear of likely rejection.

Thanks for your lovely post Aida, and you're right that I need to just slow down and enjoy my life! :o After all, it is quite a nice little one I lead. :)

Think we're going to wait a couple of months to book our holiday, only because we don't get the money to pay for it until June so I suppose that's our deadline! :) Although there's 10% off Disney hotels if we book by the end of April so it'll probably be better to book then... argh, I don't know! Need to work it all out as the initial costings are making my eyes water!

Hugs for the BFN Codemonkey, hope AF shows soon :(
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

I wholeheartedly agree. There's no room for political correctness when dealing with adoption. AFAIK one of the main barriers is the difficulty in placing children with parents who have a similar ethnic background. 'Cultural sensitivity' and all that malarkey is far less important than plain old-fashioned love.

you have my full sympathy tinks. Got loads of evap lines on ics this cycle and its just cruel. Think the superdrug ones measure the same as the ics but maybe test again in a few days?

Feel totally rubbish today, not helped by the massive AF cramps that showed up 5 minutes after wasting my digital on a BFN. Sigh.
Can I eat my body weight in chocolate now?
