Good luck with your first day back Lemonmelon. Before I went back to work after my last mc I found the idea of going back worse than the reality IYSWIM. It really helped me going back and occupying my mind a bit. Remember though if you feel you're not coping or have gone back too soon, don't be afraid to take more time off. ((hugs))
Very sorry to hear your news too Aida ((hugs)). Great PMA though

Aida - everyone deals with things differently and it's great you are feeling full of pma and ready to start again. You just do what is right for you and know we are here if you need to talk about things.
LemonMelon - hugs, hope today goes ok for you
Mrshappy - nice to see you post, how you doing?
Skintchick - nice to have you back
BZ - sending hugs
Hugs to all who need then0 -
Welcome back skintchick and hugs to Aida.
Haven't had a chance to catch up properly yet but OH is out tonight so am going to catch up on here whilst festing on OBEM and gypsy weddings.
On a good note - I didn't get my wisdom teeth taken out - yay!! Unfortunately he said they were so difficult to do I'd have to go back on April 10th to have them done then.
But....that gives me 6 weeks to get PG so they can't do it then !!! Ov due this weekend as I'm CD9 and still a low on CBFM. OH and I have been really busy at work so hoping we'll be finished in time to make the most of this weekend.
On a very ironic note, guess what job it is I need to finish by the weekend.......fertilising! Although Crops and not myself, but you never know, fate could work a little magic !0 -

Fingers crossed some of it rubs off! In a good way... not a scary chemical poisoning way or anything!
CD11 here but judging from the last few months have literally no idea when, or even if, I ovulate. So the plan is just BD every other day and wait for the appt with the FS. Unfortunately OH would not go along with the plan last night so no BDing. But we did on mon and there's no way I'll have ov'd yet - plus he gets no choice about it this evening whether he likes it or not :rotfl:
Need to call the FS to ask about OH's SA. My GP mentioned that they may want him to do it first (at his GPs). We have different drs which does slightly over-complicate things. Not sure what we're supposed to be doing next tbh.
ETA: where are my manners?? Hugs to all who need them, and a big 'go you' for Aida who is clearly an absolute star!0 -

:rotfl: Good luck!
Hugs to Aida, you're being so positive about all this, well done!It is nice to know that you can get PG and next time it'll be a sticky bean I'm sure.
Still nothing to report here, kind of thinking that I *might* OV this week but no EWCM yet and I keep forgetting to use my OPKs (did I mention OH finding my pee-sample-shot-glass in the bathroom the other week and being horrifed?! :rotfl:) so no idea if/when it's going to happen. Fed up and bored of this, it's been 5 and a half months since I came off the pill, I never thought I'd still be waiting for things to settle down at this point, I thought I'd have a little bump to show off by now!
Anyway, we managed to BD on Tuesday and going to try again tonight then Saturday... see if BDing every other day works.I'm not allowed to explain this plan to OH though as he doesn't like the pressure!
Nice to see you around SkintChick, sorry about the BFN.
Hugs for Zippy, when does your MIL have to make the decision about the amputation? What do they want to amputate?
Sorry the specialist appointment wasn't great news 2ba, forgive me for being nosey/insensitive but is your DW not able to conceive?Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Tealover - me and DH are at different doctors and DH had to see his doctor who arranged for the SA and then results went to his doctor who then sent a copy to my doctor and my doctor them referred us to fs. Hoping now we been referred it will be more straightforward!0
-
Thanks Primmer. My GP has referred us both (although no appt yet), but I think we need to get the SA done before the FS appt. OH is supposed to be calling his GP to ask but tbh is completely useless with both phones and drs. I can't call as they won't tell me anything. Think I'll try calling the FS and just check that we do need to get the SA done first, then I can make an appt for OH with his GP - surely I can make an appt without us being married??0

sa-ra-ra- sorry to hear your apt at the clinic didnt go too good, i sometimes think docs just see people as numbers and not actual people. They should be trying to help you they could have said about the scan at 8 weeks, is there any chance of seeing a specalist now? or does something have to happen again- it just seems wrong!
saw your message that you got a infection after erpc, same thing happened to me as well, it was a routine check afterwards and i really didnt expect that after mc as well, ive seen a few others who got an infection afterwards as well- that shouldnt be happening to women, it just seems another 'thing' to deal with.
fluffnutter- yours and sa-ra comment made me giggle about the smear nurse! i used to make an effort but now she just gets it when she gets it, could be mid way through the leg hair phase, but i do always wear strange weird funky coloured socks as a way to distract her.:T
Thanks Cleofish. I was just really underwhelmed, but I don't know what I was expecting. Still, it was rubbish and I am going to speak to my GP about it as I'm being referred back there - any my GP is lovely so we'll see what to doAnd it was bl00dy unfair about the infection, but it's ok because ov just delayed for a few days until I got better. So we may have caught it.
DH was very impressed by my shaved legs last night, btw. He noticed and everything! He was a bit upset with me for mentioning steak and bj day after we'd BD'd though... apparently I now owe him one!skintchick wrote: »*creeps in*
Hi ladies. You may have noticed I've been lurking the last few days. I think I feel strong enough to come back.
Hey skintchick! Welcome backGlad you're feeling a bit stronger mentally.

Lemonmelon, like Emsbet, I found the idea of going back to work worse than the actuality. I didn't want to deal with the sympathy, and I didn't think I'd get anything done. As it happens, everyone was very sensitive about it and it was good distraction from moping about the house which is what I'd have been doing otherwise. ((((hugs)))) I hope it goes OK for you.
I'm so sorry about what happened Aida, but I'm very impressed with your PMA - and apparently in the three months afterwards you're more fertile, so as soon as you feel up to it you can get on itThe doctors do say that you need to wait for a period but it's just so that they can date it easier - I haven't waited.
2b3ac, that's not good news about your BUPA appointment, but as others have said - it doesn't mean that you absolutely won't get pregnant, it just might be a little harder. Our population would be seriously depleted if 1 in 10 women who had PCOS couldn't have babies - you just need to catch the right eggy
Birdie85, I have a ramekin I use in the bathroom. Not only is it in the bathroom, but when I've used it I rinse it out then stick it on the edge of the sink to dry, so it's not even slightly hidden. Either DH doesn't care or he hasn't worked out what it's for yet...
zcrat41, that's not good about your teeth; at least if they had been able to do it it would be done by now (if you see what I mean). Still, gives you something to work towards! I spent all of Tuesday night watching gypsy weddings, I had about 4 on my on-demand. I'm thinking about tackling OBEM but I really have to be in the right frame of mind for it at the moment.
Tinks, that's rubbish about the car, have you spoken to the GP to see if they've got any CCTV? Long shot, I know... oooh, on that note, Nikki, what did you say to your mum about her insurance?
Hope everyone else is okxx

I haven't spoken to her since that phone call
:o. Usually we speak by phone once a week but I'm a bit peeved with her so haven't phoned, and obviously vice versa
Will send her a mothers day card and some flowers though, but not a cheque for £250!0 -
Morning ladies.
I have a confession to make...I POAS yest and it was a BFN. And i cried. And cried. And cried. And got sent home from work for crying. It was awful...AF still isnt here though and am thinkning im throwing off my cycle through stress and need to learn to CALM DOWN lol! I felt soooo bad, i took it all out on my OH (he didnt know i poas until i screamed it at him after he shouted at me for being a moan). I feel so angry with myself for taking it out on him, he's trying his hardest to be supportive and he's great with my PMT too so I made him a batch of "i'm sorry for being a cow and I love you" brownies.
I came back to work this morning, my boss was AMAZINGly understanding, found out his OH had a mc 4 weeks agoand they have been trying for over a year (they are both 42). Its amazing the number of people who are going through the same thing but he said we can go and see them both out of work and have a chat about all the s**tty TTC stuff that noone ever really talks about face to face so that should be good.
Anyway I have to run, my boss was understanding but may have a tissy fit at me being online after an hour back in office :rotfl:
