Thanks tea lover. It is a massive PITA, and it just felt like such a waste of time. Oh well, onwards and upwards, I suppose.

I'm such an idiot! I had a smear booked for last Friday, and decided to postpone it because I had picked up the infection post-ERPC, and because I was getting good ovulation signs and didn't want to give up the opportunity to BD pre-smear. I changed the appointment, was convinced that it was tomorrow morning, marked myself as coming into the office late in our team diary, even shaved my legs in the bath earlier [STRIKE]which is more than I do for DH usually[/STRIKE]... then checked my diary. It's not until next Tuesday. I'm glad I did check though, cos I would have happily toddled off to see the nurse tomorrow otherwise!

You shave your legs for the smear nurse? She's a lucky girl! I just sluice out my mooer and hope for the best :D

Some of the ladies on the pregnancy thread when I had my last one, were booked in for brazilians the week before their due date, because they would be mortified not to be tidy down there when on display. Me, I'd be mortified if I thought my doctor even noticed what my lady garden looks like when he has me in stirrups or making like a frog :D. I like to believe in my own mind that he has his eyes firmly shut throughout all pelvic exams and that is what I am going to continue to think. If he ever comments that I need a pruning, or that my collars don't match my cuffs, I'll be looking for a new doctor pronto :rotfl:

The pain of a Brazilian scares me more than the pain of labour. I figure if my OH doesn't mind then who cares about the doctors :) I am sure with the pooing and other stuff the state of the foof is last thing on their mind.

No, no, you don't understand - I hadn't shaved them since Christmas, so I thought it might be a good idea as I was verging on man-beast :D

DH is going to be very impressed when he gets home tonight [STRIKE]and I stick my leg in front of his face so he has to appreciate the smoothness...[/STRIKE].

    Hi all

Just a quick post as I'm at work (and away from home for a few days, so trying to keep up with the thread!!).

Aida - you are being so positive, I'm really impressed :) But hope you are ok and do take time to look after yourself and be sad if you want or need to :o Hope you get the results quickly. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Tealover - hugs for the pg dream. Those can be either really upsetting or really nice I find! Usually I have a weird dream where I'm pregnant, really far along, but I've only just realised I'm pregnant and haven't seen a doctor or midwife, and am popping out of all my usual clothes...

Sa-ra-ra-ra - sorry to hear about the crap appointment :( glad to see your chart is looking good though. Keeping everything crossed for a quick BFP and a very sticky one!

Lol at all the chat about shaving legs for the smear nurse :rotfl:

Tinks - so sorry about the car incident :(

Abis - :j for the temp rise. Loving the smiley! I am hoping my turn will come soon and I will get a rise! Had to temp very early this morning so it might not be accurate, but is still low.

QQ - hope all is going well with MIL and that AF stays away!

Bigzippy - ((hugs)) sounds like things are tough at the moment with MIL and difficult decisions. Thinking of you.

Hope all lurkers are ok too - we know you are there :p Come and chat and let us know how you are when you want to/feel ready/don't have a million and one other things going on.

    Hi Aida

I very much hope the news is good.

But if it isn't, to answer your questions. No, you don't have to wait until after you have another AF before you try again, but it would make the pregnancy easier to date if you had one AF between the miscarriage and the new pregnancy. You are very unlikely to ovulate until a home pregnancy test turns negative, and when you ovulate again after that will be unpredictable. Some people ovulate a few days later, others a few weeks, and still other not until they start a new cycle.

When you phone the hospital, you need to know:

    1. have your HCG levels risen
    2. Have they risen enough to mean you have a potentially viable pregnancy
    3. If they have fallen, have they fallen enough to suggest everything has passed
    4. Do you need another scan, any other follow up to make sure everything has gone, or whether you need some help there.

Fingers crossed though that you don't need to ask 3 or 4.
