QQ - Good luck with MIL

So spent last night at the police station reporting my hit & run and look at the state of my eye this morning

    Did that work ???
If you can think it........it will happen

I can see it tinkwings - looks bad :(

Think you did the right thing reporting it. Surely he must have known he hit you?! It could be a kid next time.

I think there should random competency testing with driving. Its not only older people who are bad. My auntie passed her test when she was young, and then didn't drive for 20 years, yet she was able to still just legally hop into a car and drive after that time. Luckily she was sensible and had some refresher courses first - but I bet there are some people who wouldn't have bothered

Hope you get it sorted out, and that your eye and leg feel better soon.

Oh tinks. That looks painful. Did you get any details of the driver which might help the police trace him, or better yet his license number?

kavics - I sympathise. My DH has been away a lot over the last 4 weeks, and I also don't like it when he goes. I have got better over the years, when we first got married I'd be in floods of tears when he was away, and find it difficult to sleep at night. Now I just miss him, and am very happy when he gets back. Which for me is lunchtime today!!!!!
  • Hugs Tinks. What an a-hole that driver was. It must have really shaken you up :(

Hello everyone. Just having a lurk to see how everyone is getting on. I noticed from Q's list that Sammy should have been testing/tested by now??

t2d - I totally agree with ttc being stupidly frustrating and easy to obsess over. It really does fill every corner of your brain. I don't think you realise until you actively start trying how tenuous the whole thing is. I always thought you'd have a bonk with no contraception, and hey presto! Boy was I wrong!

We're still biding our time to start trying as I have just started my new job and I want to give that a go for a few months. Having said that I have massive bump-envy and part of me just wants to crack on!

Hugs to all that need them x

Definitely blonde - thanks for posting that, I have a similar predicament so will be interesting to see what people's thoughts are. My work is moving 50+ miles away later in the year so there'll be a chance for redundancy for me then, but I'll only get 9 weeks money which won't be very much.

If I can get pg before then I can take the maternity leave then decide afterwards, and possibly negotiate something part time. But if it gets to time to decide and still no BFP am not sure what we're going to.

Had a dream I was pg last night. First one for absolutely years, certainly first once since we've been properly trying. Seemed so real. I'd just had my 12 wk scan and was showing the picture and my tiny bump off at work. So have understandably woken up a bit blue this morning. Not helped by the fact that my work and my boss are both stupid and horrible.

Hugs tealover. I hate the pregnancy dreams. They seem so real, and its so sad when you wake up and its not true. I had one just before we started TTC, and I kept thinking what if its true and I already am pg.

FF says AF will be due on the 26th, and the test date should be the 30th?! Whats all that about?!

Surely people don't wait that long to test?! :rotfl::rotfl:

I think I will start testing on the 24th. That'll be 12DPO. To be fair, I will be doing well to hold out til then to test.

Got to say - I do love this charting and temping. I wouldn't have had a clue when I was gonna ov or when to expect AF. My cycles are a lot longer than I thought (will be 43 days this time if AF comes when predicted, before that they have been 31, 32, 39)

I probably wouldn't have bothered DTD so much around about the time I ov'd without the charts as I would have presumed AF was due, not that ov was due. So its no wonder I have been completely missing the mark.

At least this month I know we are in with a chance.

DTD 3 out of the 4 days prior to ov. And had EWCM at that time too. Fingers crossed that we have done enough, but even if we haven't, I feel a lot more in control of it now and like I am learning how things work and how my body works too. :A

Oh, and I ov'd the day after I got poo'd on by a seagull :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: So it was a lucky seagull after all :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

My Nan always used to say that was lucky! Fingers crossed it's done the trick for you this month :D

Do your Gp's have cctv, I would see if they have, it's not fair that you have to pay for someone else's mistake.

Sorry been absent for a couple of days, I've been utilising the good weather to sort my garden out and get my veggies in for summer.
Haven't been able to do much today as am stiff as anything, feel like I've run a marathon. Me and my mates, and one or their little boys (4 1/4 months) went to a local mansion and estate, and walked all around the gardens and went on a tour of the servent's quaters. We then found this huge adventure playpark and unforunatly our immature sides came out (well we had to enjoy the equipment on behalf of the baby). So we spent the next hour on the swings and slides and playing in their massive tree houses. Then played Pooh sticks over the river and went on the minature train. Anyone would have though we were like 7/8 yrs not 26/28 years old. There was no one else around so we weren't annoying anyone and was fantastic, but by gawd I'm paying for it today.

Glad I've not got a high or anything on the cbfm, there's no way I would be able to dtd right now.

Aida - I hope you get the answers you are looking for as soon as possible.

Hi Vesper, I was just lurking checking for BFPs and saw your post. I live in the same county as you and was thinking how nice the place you visited sounds. Would you mind telling me where it is please? Its a big county so could still be a long way from me!!

We went to Belton House near Grantham, really was a lovely place!
Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.

Ah, FF says for me that I'm due on the 23rd, but I've been charting for a couple of cycles now and it 'knows' that my LP is 12 days instead of the average 14. Which is why I got my last BFP at 11dpo. FF is telling me to wait until 18dpo to test, but that's clearly not going to happen!

On the up side, i'm 4dpo today so it looks like after my MC, my cycle is coming a bit back to normal. Although now it's over a week longer than it was before my first MC, which is a bit annoying  From a 27 day cycle to a 35 day one, how irritating! I love charting, it actually keeps me a bit distracted from the 'main event' as it were, makes me feel like I have some control over what's happening.

My appointment at the clinic on Monday was rubbish. Basically there's nothing wrong with my blood and they don't know why I have late-early-miscarriages, so next time it happens I get aspirin and suppositories () to help - even though they don't know that they will.

I'm a bit annoyed really, we were in and out in under 5 minutes and I didn't get the impression that they knew very much. And she said we'd have scans at 6, 10 and 12 weeks - which is all very well but it goes wrong for me at 8 weeks, so why not scan then?! I'll speak to my GP about it when it next happens but to be honest if it goes wrong again I'm going to ask to be referred to a specialist, which she clearly was not. Grr. What a waste of time (and annual leave).
