Welcome Cupid, hope your stay is short and sweet :)
Ooh ladies, I've had a breakthrough with husband dearest, next month we can do SMEP, wih temping and ovulation tests and everything!
As we discussed that my concern is that I'm not ovulating so we agreed to do our best to find out next month if I am. If I'm not, we'll relax until I've lost weight/ got help from the doctors
Oh and ive ordered soy isoflavones to take with the agnus castus to try to imorove my cylce length, so all systems go for next month :) x x x

TeamLowe: Fantastic news!!! Glad that your OH wants you to do all that stuff. My OH supports me 100% in what am doing at the minute (Lunaception+SMEP+temping+ovulation tests + pills and now the cough syrup ). Is nice having them on board as well!

Mogwai HCG hormon is produced by the placenta shortly after the embryo attaches to the uterine lining and that happens between day 7-12. So if you embryo attaches to your uter on day 10 it will take couple of days until you get right HCG levels to get a positive test.

  • Hi all
Started trying a couple of months ago but no joy yet so I got a couple of books to see whether diet would make any difference. The main thing seems to be trying to make your body as alkaline as possible. Anyone else tried an alkaline diet and have any meal ideas?

I'm now off coffee and alcohol as well and onto green tea instead. Haven't told anyone else we're trying so love that this is somewhere I can get some answers!!:D

    Tinks - hugs for CD1 smiley-hug012.gif

Tealover - WHAT is a weetabix cake?? I'm intrigued!

Teamlowe - great news about your breakthrough with DH. My DH is more on board this month and happy for me to temp etc (although I have not enlightened him about checking CM... I think that might be one step too far!!)

QQ - I forgot to say earlier, so sorry to hear about MIL deciding against the op and hope she will change her mind

Welcome to cupid! Hope your stay will be short and sweet - this thread is fab, lots of great support and advice.

Aida - great to hear you are so positive about CD1! Hope this cycle will be yours :)

Nice day today, pub lunch with friends and now tucked up on the sofa in pjs. Is anybody watching Homeland on Sunday evenings? It's brilliant, can't wait to watch this week's episode.

Auntie F made an appearance again this afternoon (and ruined a pair of me panties). Shouldn't have been so hasty to wish her gone (Abis - you made me chuckle :) )

Ok. Help guys - I'm rather confused .. Cd 24ish. 1st month with cbfm & have been getting highs since cd6 but no peak yet. Normally have longish cycles as the regulars will know. From experience I would say I'm due to ov anytime between a couple of days ago & nowish. So today & yesterday I have ewcm, ov symptoms as normal - but now I have spotting too. Yesterday was brown spotting & I thought it had something to do with dislodged blood (I've got pneumonia so thought the coughing might have moved it - but tonight it's pinkish/fresher blood. Any ideas??

desismileys_6865.gif Cupid & Pinguini. Hope your stays here are short and sweet :D

Cupid - you will get used to our abbreviations in time. I used to have Google open at the same time for the first few times I posted to get used to everything. I think of them as nomal now and when I am emailing my friend I have to remember that she doesn't come on here and has no idea what BD or anything else for that matter is :rotfl: I've started temping this month. I bought a body basal thermometer from amazon for £5 and signed up to fertilityfriend to help chart it (thats free for the basic package). The thermometer is to 2 decmimal places. Am finding it quite interesting so far, altho must say I don't understand it all yet. I've been trying for 4 months now, and I have a DD who I caught on with straight away so I am finding the whole waiting to have a baby thing quite hard work. :o

Hugs for CD1 tinks and Aida - altho I am >loving< the smiley for it Aida :rotfl: Fingers crossed yours is on the way tealover. I don't know why we have to have long cycles - it just doesn't seem fair

Candlewax, I had a 39 day cycle last time too :( I think the worse thing is the hope, as I couldn't draw a line under the cycle until I started bleeding. I kept thinking that maybe the pregnancy tests were wrong, or that I was testing too early. And also after being 7 days late, I had done LOTS of SS.

Pinguini, I haven't heard anything about the alkeline diet - but I have only just started reading my first book and I'm on chapter 3 so far :o Am finding it a bit dull to read so far... I haven't told many people we are TTC either, and I must say the boards are a life saver as I really did think I was going mad with all the hormones / emotions I am going through. I came on here the first time and then announced to my DH that I am normal as all the other ladies are doing the same as me :rotfl::rotfl:

I have listed 32 items on ebay this weekend :j:j Am quite proud of my lil self, cos boy is it boring!! Got loads more photographed and ready to list. Going to give myself a challenge to list so many every night this week to try and get it all shifted. Am thinking 10 things per night... Hope I aren't setting myself up for a fall here!!! Might take my mind of my non-existant ov at any rate :rotfl::rotfl:
 Married my lobster in July 2011

TTC # 2 since Oct 2011 - good things come to those who wait :o

I had spotting a few days before I ovulated this month too Sd. I've never had it before, but googled and it is fairly common apparently and some say a sign of a hyper fertile cycle (fxd!)

    Hello ladies,

CD1 here and I'm really happy smiley-happy110.gif No cramps or pain before AF came so I'm :j because usually I have really bad cramps.

Hugs to everyone who had CD1 yesterday and today. Hope next month is your month.

Last cycle I took Evening Primerose pills to help my CM but I wasn't impressed so I should give a go to the cough syrup.

Claire, on QQ list you are still waiting to OV but your FF chart says that you OV 11 days ago .

Thats great you had no cramps, thats always such a relief for me too if that happens as my periods were dreadful as a teenager and then I had about 9 years on the pill.

Yep thats right (unfortunately as its the longest cycle Ive EVER had), Im not technically TTC right now though so its doesnt really matter, as I started a new job last week so having to postpone it for a while so I just pop back on the board if anyone has a question I can answer or to say congrats to people with bfps. :)

could the pneumonia mean you didnt ovulate this month and rather than your standard long cycle its made it into a short/standard length one ? could af be on the way ?

Hope you feeling better soon, pneumonia seems to be doing the rounds here lately !
