Ridiculous as it is to be pleased about that on a TTC thread! 59 flaming days, !!!!!! happened there?? Am just so relieved it's finally turned up, was thinking I'd gone through the menopause and not realised.:o
Cupid, hello . We haven't told anyone as such, although I'm sure some people do know. We're getting on a bit (!) and have been together for years so I'm sure it wouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Most people know I've got endo as I've had a lot of operations in recent years so fortunately we don't get asked too much - not sure I could cope with having to make up excuses about it all.
The only person I've told outright is a bloke at work. His OH has PCOS and we've both been trying for ages, and we're both possibly facing redundancy or relocation this year. We've worked together and been mates for 5 years though so it's not quite as odd as it sounds!0 -
Have most of you told people you are trying? I had only just got a new job when we started so everyone assumed we'd wait until I was settled there and no-one even asked about kids. But now I am worried about telling people because the last thing I want is people asking me every 5 mins if I'm pregnant yet! I just never know what to say when people ask us when we'll be having kids (which annoys me anyway because I have no idea when it will be even though we are trying - maybe I should just ask to borrow their crystal ball!)
Hi Cupid
Quite a few people know about us, but that's mainly because I've had two miscarriages in the last 6 months - so a lot of people at work know, as I had to take some time off (particularly this time around), and my close friends and family know as we're rubbish at keeping secrets so once we were pregnant we told quite a few people. It was actually nice to have the support from everyone afterward as well, so I don't regret it.
How much do you know about the whole trying-to-conceive thing? Have you done any reading or anything, or would you like one of us to go back to basics and give you a quick rundown?
Hugs to everyone that the witch got over the weekend
QQ, I hope your MIL changes her mind
So, I had a fun day yesterday down at the walk in centre - I've managed to pick up an infection as a result of the ERPC so now I'm on some fairly industrial strength antibiotics. It's very annoying because I think I'm gearing up to ovulate this week, and I don't want the infection to affect that. Which it probably will. Oh well, it's probably a good idea to give it a rest for one month to try and get my body back into some semblance of order.
In more exciting news though, we got our appointment at the recurrent miscarriage clinic through on Friday - and it's for next Monday afternoon! I am very impressed with the NHS.0 -
Sar-ra - glad your appointment is so soon! Hopefully they'll have some answers for you soon
hope the infection clears up fast too
Code monkey, really sorry to hear thatI was really hoping this was your time
Far too many cd1s going on atm... although, for yours tea lover, I'm glad! :rotfl:
Qq, hopefully this is the least time I'll say this (for a while at least), but I think this is 1dpono more fertile cm, and the lines I had on the opks fri & sat had gone yesterday. Didn't manage to bd yesterday (i think we're both a bit worried it might fall off at this point!:rotfl:) but hoping the 7 days in a run will have given us a decent chance...! Can I relax now please?!

So had my follow up appt at docs, they are definitely considering pcos now due to the irregularity of my periods and other symptoms. They've taken bloods this morning for hormone levels (fsg, lh etc). It's not the ideal time of the month apparently but it might reveal something... I will have to go for another once af has arrived.
They have also referred me for a scan so they can have a look at my ovaries but the appt might not come through for a month or so.
All in all it gives me hope that something is being done and that eventually I may get some answers.
QQ can you take me off the testing list please... I'm going to carry on with this thread and will keep you updated but I'm probably going to be lurking mostly... I think I need time to chill out and be a bit more relaxed about ttc as sometimes things just get to me. Once I have some more answers I will come back and let you all know!0 -

Take care lady bugs sticky baby dust to all.

Hi all. Hope everyone is ok. AF is finally leaving the building today after only lasting 3 days. This cycle has been the best for me on my left ovaries, so fingers crossed my cycles are settling down, no spotting after ovulation and no long period.
Feeling super happy this week, as I have paid off my credit cards and my car loan.
BUT I am now going to be taking on a mortgage for our new home, which is scary but exciting at the same time. And moving at the end of the month hopefully.Halifax CC £1029/£2490, Tesco CC [STRIKE]£0/£3203[/STRIKE], Tesco loan £15431/£15808, Carloan1 £6743/£8241, Carloan2[STRIKE] £0/£3813[/STRIKE]

Welcome Cupid,
We haven't told anyone 'officially' that we are ttc though a couple of people know it already mainly because either OH or me gave a hint. My best friend knows, and also our lovely neighbours who are having their 4th IVF in 2 weeks time (they have a 2yr old already and she is in her early 40s, he is mid 50s).
We manage to BD this morning again and I was hoping for a peak on CBFM but it was a high instead so really hope that I get my peak tmrw as I think OH has had enough for this month:).
Work is busy, better get on with it.0
