if it's at your house LM, just be adamant you're on the vodka and diet coke as pints have sooo many calories don'tchaknow and just neglect to put any vodka in ;)

my sister is having another scan today so i should find out if i'm having a neice or nephew :j
funnily enough i'm not jealous of later scans but i've just had a quick look at the less than twelve weeks thread and they're all going on about wonderful healthy 12 week scans and I'm surprised i haven't actually turned green :o
i guess it's cos that's the bit i'm fantasising about, how lovely it would be to see a heartbeat, to tell family and friends and be able to get excited about having my child, as lord knows next pregnancy i'm going to be a nervous wreck. if it ever happens lol

my aim for this cycle though is a 35 day one, so we'll see. obviously it depends on ovulation but since Sunday i've had pains in my right side so obviously convinced that's it every day lol if it's 42 days, then only 17 days to go.

really don't think it's guna be this cycle, i'm actually beginning to wonder about a theory a colleague at work told me, that women have like one super fertile time each year and that's why you get siblings with birthdays close together. it was last april i conceived (so so long ago :() so we'll see what happens this april lol x x

DH has invited a load of our friends up to watch the rugby on Saturday, which i'm looking forward to BUT I'll be 7dpo and I don't want to get really drunk. When it was just my best friend and 2 of her friends I wasn't so worried, as she knows we're trying etc, so would help me sort out drinks without making a fuss. However now 4 of our friends and some workmates are coming too, and I don't want it to be really obvious! :o Any ideas/advice?

When I had the same problem at new years I had a bottle of alcohol free wine and some small bottles of normal wine in a bag in the hallway at my friends house. I alternated between the two and no one noticed. Maybe you could stash a bottle of alcohol free wine or a few bottles of Beck blue if you prefer beer and then just pour it into a glass so no one notices.

    Hi all

Thanks Nicki - may well check them out! Liverpool street isn't horrible to get to, I'd rather go somewhere, somebody recommended. Oh I might check Yelp too for recommendations! :)

I have a full blown horrible cold now and had another emotional breakdown last night. DW is concerned it's the metformin tablets as I seem so completely irrational and inconsolable when I have these breakdowns (I think there are 2 occasions when this has happened now in the last few weeks).

I know its not, I just know it's this journey and I told her that loads of us on this journey have these moments. She will just have to bear with me. So there.

She is SO laid back it is almost frustrating. She's keeps saying she knows it's going to happen when it happens.

I want it to be now :(

Not sure if I want to provide the evidence to back this up or not! But my oh has family with 2 sisters who's birthday's are on the same day a year apart!

2nd day of peak CBFM today. OH and I managed it last night as well as yesterday am for which I was very proud of him:T We're normally more a once a week on a Sunday couple. I think he wants one of these babies more than he's letting on;)

What do OV pains feel like people? Last night I had some cramping in my lower tummy. felt a bit like I'd eaten too much but I'd been really good all day. Or like early period pains. Only wondered if it was ov pains as it coincided with Peak CBFM. I'd normally just put it down to having a funny tummy!

Beautiful, gorgeous day here. Sun is shining and the snowdrops and crocus' are out. Lovely day to be out and about.

The super fertile period theory is probably correct.
My cycles have always been roughly the same 31-34 days a month since my periods started. I got pregnant with my DS who was born on 8th February and 3 years later I got pregnant with my DD whose birthday is 10 days before my son. So my super fertile period is around April/May.
Though the theory has a flaw in the fact that I cannot test that because I came off the pill for my DD around March.

Sadly we'll be spending the afternoon in the pub and then going for a curry, so no smuggling non-alcoholic options in. My plan is to stick to halves, and have 2 soft drinks between each beer, and get DH to get me a lime/lemonade when it's our round (but pretend it's got vodka in!) think I'll use the calorie counting as an excuse though, since I am doing that most days!

I'm not too worried about a few drinks, as potential bean wouldn't even have finished implanting by Saturday, let alone be taking anything from my system, but I don't want to get totally !!!!ed either!

    Cheers guys :D

hmmm super fertile period may be right for my mum - had all 3 of her children in June, but I've so far got one feb, one june and one nov baby so certainly not the case for me.

I have no symptoms at all so doubt we caught this month, still a week to go though.
