Well, got a positive on OPK this morning. OH is overseas until tomorrow night.

I think I will get him to call the hospital to see if the appointment for SA can be moved from Monday to the end of next week. If it can't be moved then we will stick with the appt we have got & not BD tomorrow when he gets back (you can't have sex for 4 days before the SA).

If the appt can be moved, like Nicki I'll be hoping for a slow egg.

7 days left this month for testing - hoping we can finish the month with the 1 a day BFPs we started with!

Good luck with getting the appointment moved. It would be frustrating to miss a month, just because of the timing of a test :(. I do seem to have got a slow egg, fxd, because my temp was not up yet this morning. All I need now is for OH to get back early in the evening, rather than late tonight, and for my temp to go up tomorrow, or even better on Saturday, and I'll be feeling happier about this months chances. Would have liked to have a few battalions in place before ov day if I could :D, but nothing to be done about that now.

maire - (((big hugs))). I think we can all understand where you're coming from with pg envy, it's really tought when there's just no escaping from someone else. We're all here for you if you ever need to vent.

Right - after weeks (if not months) of wallowing I have decided that enough is enough. I will be giving up negativity for lent! Have been so stressed I've been getting chest pains and thought I might pass out at times, and clearly I'm never going to get pg in that state.

Feel like I have a bit more of a plan now, which always helps me to feel calmer. So...
    - work. Am just telling myself I can only do what I can do (iyswim). The relocation /possible redundancy isn't for months yet so am not even going to think about that now. Just focus on the two horrible tasks that will take me through the next month or so and get as much as I can of them out of the way.
    - exam results. Only 9 days (max.) to wait now. There's nothing I can do to influence them and I know I tried my hardest, so there's no point worrying about it.
    - charity event. The people supposed to be helping are being pretty useless so will rope in as many friends and family as possible to take the pressure off. It's only 3 weeks away now so will focus on getting posters and advertising out there.
    - ttc. Well..... currently CD49 and still nothing. But I do realise that stressing is not going to help at all. Have an appt with my GP on 12th march so am not even going to think about it till then. Instead am going to focus on having a lovely time with my OH and enjoying it just being the two of us for now.

Right - that's the plan then! Sorry it's such an essay, thought it might help to put my thoughts down here so I can read them again when the negative thoughts start creeping back in.

Hugs to everyone that needs them, and thank you all so much for letting me have this space to think and vent and moan - you have no idea how much it means to me. xx

I like the idea of giving up negativity for lent tea lover! :) I always tell myself that I can only do what I can do, whilst some people find that fatalistic (reach for the stars etc) I find it a lot more comforting to accept that sometimes I can't do it all and appreciate what I do achieve. :)

Feeling more relaxed about TTC this cycle, really liking the idea of seeing TTC as a long-term goal so have decided that I'd like to be PG by August and if we're not then we'll take it a little more seriously (temping, SMEP etc) and give it another 6 months. Neither of us do well under pressure and I know that there's no way OH would be able to keep up with the stress of having to BD every day at certain times so I'm hoping that by relaxing it a bit we'll get lucky as stressing about it isn't going to make a baby! :)

Saying that, was at the dentist this morning and had a little sulk that I had to pay... if I was PG it would've been free! :o
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

Tealover - LOVE your idea of giving up negativity for lent. I'm up for that. It beats giving up chocolate at any rate :rotfl:

Marie - I think we all feel the pregnancy envy at times. :o Its really hard, and you are always welcome to come and chat about it here. We all understand. I am normally such a positive and happy person, I have found myself quite ashamed and embarrassed by some of the negative dark thoughts I have felt when other people have announced their pregnancies. :o:o

I'm feeling calmer this month too about TTC Birdie. Maybe only as I am awaiting ov, and can't do much at this stage anyway! But for now I feel ok about everything. I feel like I am doing something positive with the temping and getting to learn my body better in the process. I'm sure when I am ov and in the 2ww I will go slightly crazy again though!

Our cat seems fully better now :j Wish the same could be said for the car :( Specialist rang and said another week before it will be fixed _pale_ DH's work have been amazing and allowed him to work from home until the end of this week. DH does also have a motorhome, but its about 3-4 times as expensive to use, and the commute is 100 miles + per day, so it makes a massive difference to have to use the motorhome. Not looking forward to the specialists bill either - but trying not to think or worry too much about it. We've been doing so well at sticking to our debt schedule, but sometimes things crop up and but things back. Not a lot we can do, as DH needs his car, and its only 5 years old so its worth putting the money in to fix it.

We're both doing some ebay selling this weekend to try and help with the bills!!

DD is back at her dads now. I have had her for 16 days which has been amazing, but now I only have her for 2 days over the next 12 days, which is sooooo hard. :( Its normally a 9:5 day custody split, but we had to swap weekends around, so it makes the week without her super hard for me. I do have my best friend coming for tea tomorrow and a 30th birthday party to go to on saturday night, so looking forward to both of those things. Hoping to take advantage of the house to ourselves and no commuting to do lots of BD too. The commute gets very tiring for DH normally, so hopefully he will have more energy for extra BD duties :rotfl::rotfl: According to FF I should start ov on saturday, but no rise in temperature yet and my cycles seem to be irregular since coming off the pill, so we shall just have to wait and see...

    Afternoon ladies :)

Just checking in to say hello, 5dpo and no symptoms to spot here :rotfl: bit boring tbh!

Hope everyone's having a good day, nearly the weekend! :j

DH has invited a load of our friends up to watch the rugby on Saturday, which i'm looking forward to BUT I'll be 7dpo and I don't want to get really drunk. When it was just my best friend and 2 of her friends I wasn't so worried, as she knows we're trying etc, so would help me sort out drinks without making a fuss. However now 4 of our friends and some workmates are coming too, and I don't want it to be really obvious! :o Any ideas/advice?
