    Sounds interesting.....

Stupid question how do you know if you OV or not???? :o:o

Sorry if I am being thick & rude but it's a question floating in my head. :o:o:o:o

Wasn't sure if this was a general or a specific question ;). Fannyanna will be back to answer for herself, but my recollection is before her surgery she had some medical investigations.

Generally speaking, you can find out if you are ovulating by organising a blood test with your GP for 7 days after you think you ovulated to check your progesterone levels. Usually called a day 21 test as if you have a 28 day cycle that's when they do it.

More high tech and precise (but correspondingly more expensive), you can have a monitored cycle where you have ultrasound scans every few days to see what is happening with your ovaries, sometimes combined with blood tests. Not sure whether this is routine on the NHS, but I've had it done privately a few times when my PCOS was bad.

More low tech, but fairly reliable, you can take basal body temp daily, with or without accompanying urine tests. You can surge without ovulating, so get a positive OPK without actually releasing an egg, but if your BBT rises for 3 consecutive days approximately 14 days before your AF arises, then it is very likely that you did ovulate that month, particularly if you combine that with a positive OPK just beforehand.
  • Hello lovely ladies

Been at bit AWOL these last two weeks with one thing and another. Have DS potty trained at home though so can't complain.

Had my implant out last night :j DH asked to DTD last night as he said it was the last freebie one but I didn't tell him that his swimmers can live for 6 days lol. The doctor said that it would only take 3 days to leave my system and that I should be seeing her again in 10 months to have the implant put back in:rotfl:

Silly question really but the morning after you DTD how can you stop his swimmers escaping? Obviously we went straight to bed last night but I always wake up still wet (sorry TMI) and have to have a shower. I'm assuming some of them have made it where they're supposed to :D.

((((HUGS)))) to those who need them, seems alot at the mo. Hopefully March will be a better month with the March Hare visiting and all :rotfl:
