Trying for a Baby Part 7

Don't think Soy is a good idea when TTC. Some take it for 5 days at the beginning of the cycle to induce ov, but not the whole time:huh:
I actually have heard a lot of conflicting theories! I take it for 7-9 days from CD1 because i wish to think that like the people that took them and got a bfp, the same will happen with me!0 -
Quick update about me and lunaception: on CD14 (so 2 days ago) I've exposed myself to light for at least 30 minutes (walking outside and a little bit of gardening yesterday) + both yesterday morning and today (now) I've been using my lamp (normal table lamp) for 30 minutes just to top up my exposure to light.
This morning I've noticed some EWCM. Not much but it was really streachy. I'm speechless.
Another thing: I can't believe how many PCOS ladies are here! I thought I was the "only PCOS chick in the village" That's why my cycle is 35-45 day long and over the place!
wow sounds promising. Do you put the lamp on for the 30 mins when you sleep or just in the day? Its been really sunny here the past couple of days, so much infact I had to shut the downstairs curtains cos I couldnt see the tv in the day and Im off work this week lol! So perhaps I shouldnt have!
Im starting to wonder is it possible to have PCOS but without the usual symptoms? I.e have long and irregular cycles but no weight gain, extra hair etc? Because I know Ive only been off the pill since June, so it could just be that, but I never had regular periods before going on the pill at 18 either. And I started at 13 so I had 5 years for them to sort themselves out, and they never did.
How exactly is PCOS diagnosed?0 -
Hello Ladies
Sorry to hear about your job 2ba3c. They sound like they are not worth getting stressed over. Take the rest of the day off and relax and then tomorrow is a new day. Fingers crossed you find something better soon. Incidentally, did you apply for that particular job via the Job Centre. If so, I would put in a complaint to them about the problems with SE, incorrect job description etc.
Kavics - Sorry for the BFN. Hopefully it's too early to detect yet. But blimey at BD'ing 7 days on the trot! I couldn't do 7 times in a month
Not much going on here. CD22 and 9dpo (I think) and nada. I was doing a little symptom spotting the other day but that seems to have tailed off. Will just have to see what the next week brings.

Yep! You can definitely have it without all or most of the symptoms! I do!
You need blood tests AND a scan. Both can confirm it. My bloods came back OK, but the scan showed I had PCOS....Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -

Thanks I think I am going to see the doctor because this is so annoying for when we start ttc again in a couple of months.
Really sorry to hear about your job - although it does like they were practically operating a scam of sorts, so you are best of out of there in the long term. But obviously not great money wiseI hope you find something else very soon.
I think I read something before on the employment board that you could report companies who make people work as self employed when they really arent, to HMRC?0 -
Excited for your TLP ScottishChick :j When are you testing next???0

Afternoon,
2ba3c, huge hugs, what a day for you. How hard is to find a a new job in your area and are there any advertised at the moment? What are your plans?
Thank you! I'll just do what I normally do and apply for every job going. I live in London, so it should be fairly easy to find something. It's just that the other worked SO well with the hours I need to pick up DS from school!Sammy_Girl wrote: »Hello Ladies

Thanks, they are absolutely not worth getting upset over. I can' believe I cried (not in front of them, though!).. Good idea about taking the day off. Im going to watch OBEM, have another cry and get it all out of my system.
I didn't apply for it via the job centre, it was in a local paper.
I really hope this was meant to be, and it's not a start of things to come this year. DW only said to me this morning there are rumours at work nobody is getting a bonus this year. *panic*Baby 2b born March 2013! :j:j:j0 -

ten minutes ago, came home for lunch and used an internet cheapie and it's still a tlp. I'm going to buy a Superdrug one for tomorrow morning and maybe a digi at the weekend if it's still not a BFP. When I was pregnant with DD the lines were always really faint and I ended up having to get a blood test to confirm.

Who told you that you have no legal recourse 2ba? I am a lawyer but not an employment lawyer, and I don't think that is correct.
First, I think you probably were a de facto employee not self employed, because the company tod you what to do, you didn't work for anyone else, they controlled your hours and duties, you couldn't delegate the work to anyone else. So, they should have been paying your tax and national insurance for you, and you can pursue that now which is worth something.
Second, the fact that you were employed for less than a year just means that you are not entitled to claim for unfair dismissal (unless there were discriminatory grounds) or for redundancy. You are still entitled to claim for wrongful dismissal, which is where they have not paid you for your notice period or given you adequate notice.
Third, I don't think you did waive your right to notice pay by agreeing not to come in for the rest of the week. They gave you a choice, but they do still need to pay you for that week, and for any holiday you have accrued. Even if they say you were self employed and therefore not entitled to paid holiday, I think that is bogus, and you are entitled to the statutory minimum number of holidays pro rata'd for the time you worked for the company, less any paid time off you have had.
I know it isn't fantastic and we aren't talking huge sums of money here, but an extra few weeks wage coming in at the moment is better than nothing at all. It is definitely worth checking out your position with someone who specialises in employment law if you can and sticking a claim in, if only to make yourself feel a bit better about not lying down and taking it without a token fuss0
