God. I am sorry it wasn't meant to be insensitive. I said undiagnosed coeliac disease caused these issues. Once it is diagnosed and you start the exclusion diet all those problems disappear. It is the effect of the gluten which causes the difficulties.
I am very sorry I offended you. It was intended to be helpful, in the same way as people discuss other approaches which promote and enhance fertility. I shall go back and delete now and again I apologise.
My mistake.Missed the 'undiagnosed' bit.
Thought you meant coeliac disease full stop, which horrified me.
Sorry, I am obviously oversensitive about it. Just been having tummy/pelvic pains etc and have been worried if it is not coeliac it could be another problem which would affect fertility.
ETA: Awful to think gluten can cause all those problems for people. Strange how the body works.0 -
Lily_the_legend - for what it's worth, a relative of mine has coeliac disease, but it's very very manageable for her (basically lots of changes to her diet). Since it's been diagnosed and she has made the dietary changes a lot of health issues which she had previously have significantly improved or even disappeared completely.
As Nicki mentioned, it's undiagnosed coeliac disease which is the problem, not necessary coeliac disease itself.
In any case - I really hope the tests go well and the results come back ok.
ETA - cross posted with Nicki
Thank you, my mistake.
Just worried it is something more serious. But I am a terrible pessimist.
Anyway, I'll go back to the doctors whatever the results are and no point worrying until then.0 -

2ttb3 Welcome back
Kavics - Sorry about BFN!!!wow sounds promising. Do you put the lamp on for the 30 mins when you sleep or just in the day?
....
How exactly is PCOS diagnosed?
Clarie - I'm using the lamp first thing in the morning and also I've been outdoors for at least 30 minutes (the weather was nice here so I took avantage of that). Some people sleep with the light on but I can't do this as my hubby needs to rest.
As 2bc3c said, PCOS can be diagnosed with some blood tests and scan. Mine both are rubbish .
Sooo back to my day. My OPK was positive today:j. It took less then a minute to get the second line on the test and it was darker then the control line . I just can't believe that a little bit of light helped ME?!?!?!?
My next question is: now what??? We BD yesterday (without knowing that today I will get a positive OPK) and if you follow SMEP we should BD today as well and tomorrow and Saturday and then a day off and them more BD??? It that right? My hubby will be dead after so much.
Here are my pics
(this one was upside down but I've rotated it - I was so  that I haven't realised the pic it's upside down)
The first OPK was CD11 and the last one is from CD16 (today):smileyheaBaby Aida is here :j:j:jBaby fund - £3140/£60000 -
Afternoon all
Quick question for anyone more experienced with OPKs than me (read everyone!) - how long before a positive do you normally start seeing ANY line on them?
Last month I never got a positive, but I was drinking loads to try and shift my cough, so I wasn't surprised. Today I feel really dehydrated and my sample was definitely concentrated (straw coloured) but not so much of a hint of a second line. Going by CM checking, it's changing from sticky to watery/stretchy, and I feel quite swollen down there, so I think OV is imminent in next 2-3 days.
Also, anyone else trying out the new look forum? I'm really not sure about it, much harder read IMOLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
Aida, looks like a very positive OPK to me. Out of interest, are they they cheapie Amazon ones? Look the same as the ones I use! Actually no, scrap that - the green bit on the end is different!!
I don't know about the SMEP, but I would just BD as much as possible!
LittleMoog - I bet it's different for everyone, but usually a day before, a cple of days before if I squint I think I can see something.
Are you holding your urine for 3 hours, and testing in the afternoon/PM only?
Thank you everyone for your well wishes re the job, and especially Nicki

Looks like I am not parting with my egg this month as no ovulation as yet. Had positive Opk yesterday but no ovulation pain or temperature increase. It thought it takes 24-48 hours before the egg is release so it could happen today or tomorrow. You should BD today ! Good luck!!!:smileyheaBaby Aida is here :j:j:jBaby fund - £3140/£60000 -
Hello everyone! For those that don't remember me, I was on here from October and got my BFP in December. I should be 13 weeks now but will be paranoid there is nothing there/something stops until baby hopefully gets into my arms in August! This is a new feeling for me, I'm normally the most optimistic person in the world.
Anyway, tell me if this is condescending and I will delete it but there is one thing I did differently the month I got my BFP and I haven't seen it mentioned on here. I wanted to wait until a successful scan in case I'd ruined baby with it somehow but it seemed okay?
Basically, it was eating just the core of a pineapple on the day i got my +OPK (1st month using them) and for 5 days after. I'd seen it after googling helping implantation and it came up on some ivf websites. these are what i used - http://www.amandabears.com/pineapple-core-for-implantation.html and http://www.howtocutapineapple.com/ I still have the other pieces in my freezer as was going to make a smoothie if I got a bfn... even tho i read pg ppl shouldnt have pineapple, had some last night and did have some mild stomach cramps, eek. So I think there is something in it even tho you can google and get both sides of a story.
That's such a ramble but I was just wondering if anyone else had tried it as I don't remember seeing it on here but then I wasn't on here for very long... I also think my BFP cylce I was more stressed and OV'd later as i remember not getting positive OPK til day 16 or 17 and I had a 27 day cycle the first month off pill.
I'm still reading and lurking and hope this board will be cleared by christmas
(((hugs to all)))
