DW has just rocked up from an evening drinking with work pals and I am ruddy FURIOUS.

She's wasted and I think totally inconsiderate for staying out so late and getting so drunk, knowing about my day.

    :(

Fannyanna, are you going back to the docs? I'm sorry you're dealing with this again :( Have you managed to get anywhere with the rest of your TTC action plan?

    Congratulations ScottishChick :D

AFM, AF's on the way out, if not left completely :j Thank God it's not been another hideous 3+wk bleed from hell :o

And I've lost another few pounds, so I've now ditched 8BMI points :D:j ...Which means that any pg would not be considered "high risk" now, and I'd be safe to have surgery (eg. a laparoscopy to see if I have endometriosis that runs in the family) :D Strange thing to be happy about, perhaps, but it's been on my mind for the last year or so that it's a possibility :o I'm losing slower than I'd like/targeted, but at least it's going. Better than nothing :)

  • :j :j. Well done on the loss and af leaving bigz!!!

2ba3c - Revenge is sweet! I usually make large amounts of noise early in the morning - vacumn the bedroom about 6am to really get your point across. Until then hugs & good luck xx did you get any advice on the employment boards??

Thanks everyone, I tried the SMEP this month and also used preseed. I also held a newborn baby the day I think I conceived so that may have helped :D

    CONGRATULATIONS!

I do think SMEP works as long as you ovulate, and know when that's happening, I'm convinced the last few months for me I've not really ovulated properly as the other times I've done SMEP I've conceived that month.

AFM, I'm not posting much, finding it all a bit hard, I lurk and read but just not up to getting too involved in the chat at the moment. Hope that's not rude, I just am struggling.

    Afternoon all :)
Quick question for anyone more experienced with OPKs than me (read everyone!) - how long before a positive do you normally start seeing ANY line on them?

When I get a positive it comes up within about 30 seconds? Any other time I strain to see a line, it takes much longer. So I always know pretty quickly if its a positive or not. Although that doesnt mean I dont stare at non-positive ones hoping they might change...

Clarie - I'm using the lamp first thing in the morning and also I've been outdoors for at least 30 minutes (the weather was nice here so I took avantage of that). Some people sleep with the light on but I can't do this as my hubby needs to rest.

As 2bc3c said, PCOS can be diagnosed with some blood tests and scan. Mine both are rubbish .

Sooo back to my day. My OPK was positive today:j. It took less then a minute to get the second line on the test and it was darker then the control line . I just can't believe that a little bit of light helped ME?!?!?!?

My next question is: now what??? We BD yesterday (without knowing that today I will get a positive OPK) and if you follow SMEP we should BD today as well and tomorrow and Saturday and then a day off and them more BD??? It that right? My hubby will be dead after so much smiley-sex016.gif.

    Here are my pics

(this one was upside down but I've rotated it - I was so  that I haven't realised the pic it's upside down :D)

The first OPK was CD11 and the last one is from CD16 (today)

So you just like switch the light on whilst you are getting up?

I might try what you are doing next cycle.

Normally when I get a positive opk I ovulate that day or the next, So I BD the day before or day before that, and then the day of ov, and maybe 1 day after. Its tiring :rotfl:espeically when I never know when my positive is coming, so we have to bd up until then too for days on end. god sounds awful doesnt it :rotfl:

Watching OBEM - already a little tear has slipped out. The lady pregnant with twins is TINY!

I think she looked a similar size to me and twins run in both mine and DHs families, hes convinced it will happen to us

  • back at ya!! Still watching you all lol. Coming up with a really good taking over the world plan for us to execute bigz! It'll have to wait until I get some of this work done though!! Looks like wedding season is starting again. Still waiting to hear about an assessment - but somebody rang me last week and asked if I wanted one so I guess I'll hear back from them at some point - or I might pluck up the courage to ring them next week :o.
My new shiny cbfm is up & running (as is the spare fridge) so I'm having fun trying to remember to use it & fill out the paperwork every morning while still half asleep. Nothing very interesting to report really.

Congrats for the bfps I've not mentioned & hugs for all those in need of them xx

Good luck with the assessment SD, hope it's as painless as possible :):o looking forward to talking over the world with you once more ;) I'm still debating a CBFM...let me know how you get on with it? :)

  • I certainly will - I've not broken it yet :) which is pretty good for me - so we'll see whether it picks anything up or not as I was never too sure with the OPKs. I'll keep you updated & I'll try & nip back on more often, hoping I'll be a bit more relaxed & leave the cbfm to do all the thinking for me for a few cycles!!

BZ - glad af is on the way out and huge congrats on the weight loss and reduction in bmi that is great news :j

SD - hope you get on with the cbfm, it sometimes takes a couple of cycles to get used to you but I do use mine every month as I do like that it gives me a clear indication to bd so at least I am doing it at right times.

Skintchick - hugs, it is fine to lurk. We all understand that at times posting is difficult and lurking is all we feel up to. Just know that we are all here for you.
