Morning ladies
Huge congrats Scottishchick! :j Hope it all goes smoothly for you
I had a terrible nights sleep last night, and my temp is sky high this morning. I had EWCM last night, 4 days earlier than I've ever seen it, so now I'm wondering if I've OV'd early or if the temp is just due to me not getting much sleep and being very restless. My chart is here if any experienced tempers would be kind enough to have a look and advise!
Guess I'll have to wait for tomorrow's temp to find out, so will keep doing OPKs and BD'ing just in case.Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Did you have 3 hours solid sleep before you took your temp? If not I'd definitely just pencil this one in. When you get a positive on the ov stick it means you are about to ovulate, whereas a big temp increase means you have ovulated. So I'd say it's a dodgy reading. Carry on as you wereKeep us posted though, it's good to see how accurate these ov sticks are.

Took me ages to get to sleep, even though I was really tired. Think I finally dropped off about 2.30. Temped at 6.40 as normal, but I was half-awake/tossing and turning from 6.30 when the radio switched on. I've had that before, and the other slightly higher temps in my chart (CD2, 5, 6 and 9) are days when it took me a while to wake up enough to temp. They're nowhere near as high though, which is why I'm confused!Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -
I think its unlikely that you ovulated yesterday LittleMoog. Or at least I would work on that basis and keep BDing until you are sure. It is possible for OPKs to miss the LH surge if it is very short, but its more common to have more days of EWCM before you ovulate. You ovulate on the last day of EWCM, and this is your peak fertility day according to Toni Wechsler the natural fertility awareness guru, so if when you check today your CM has gone back to sticky, that would support the suggestion that you did ovulate already though.0

Ok. A question for experienced cbfm users. I'm cd8 and the monitor is showing high (2 bars). Is it actually detecting anything or with it being its first cycle is it just guessing? I don't feel high - no ewcm etc and I think I usually ov around cd20 ishProv1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770

Its not very accurate in the first few months, but yes it is detecting something. Your oestrogen and LH levels will be slightly higher than its default starting point, so it is working on the basis you may ovulate soon. It will store all the data for the first 3 months and analyse your data so it overrides its default settings and knows what are normal baseline levels for you, at which point it will become more accurate (hopefully). It only stores 6 months data, so overwrites itself regularly to keep as up to date as it can (assuming it isn't reset in that period). If you get a peak in the first month, that should be fairly accurate however.0

Thanks Nikki that's good to know! Slightly worried now that I have to send it back after 3 months & get a new one so it'll never quite get used to me, but it's got to be better than the OPKs lol.Prov1 £3392 - Aqua £1136 Vanquis £1500, HM £21, Barclays £680 Payday Loans - £1000 Mother - £770
