QQ thanks for adding me to the list. You were a great support and source of info/advice when I was last here. I was nervous about returning but know I have done the right thing. I already feel less alone with you lot to talk to about things!

There seems to be quite a few of us who have had losses and are now returning so hugs to all, especially to 2ba, sorry today is such a sad day for you hun, look after yourself x

Well, we had FS appointment this morning. Where do I start? The consultant was lovely, a very nice man, which unfortunately didn't make bad news any easier to hear. SA was zero again, he examined mrhappy and couldn't feel the tubes that take the sperm to where they are meant to go, which could indicate that mrh carries the cystic fybrosis gene. Also mrh has variocella (sp?) which isn't ideal for ttc, but not a major issue. Lots of blood was taken, they will check allsorts of things for mrh, and also my egg production. We have to go back in 8 weeks. As I have a son from a previous relationship no treatment is available on the nhs, I feel as if mrh is being punished for something I did 16 years ago. After our next appointment we will have the option to go privately for further tests on mrh, a biopsy to see if sperm is being produced-if so we will have the option to have it retrieved and go for IVF privately. Big money and a big decision If, following the biopsy, it is discovered that there is no sperm in the testes then that is the end of the road for us. We have discussed donor sperm and have decided that that is not for us. So lots of thinking, talking and saving to be done in the happy household over the next few weeks.

Having said all that I actually feel okay, I can't say the same for mrh though, who is gutted about it all Actually, maybe I just feel okay because it hasn't really sunk in yet.

Hi Nephthys, sorry that you had to come back here. I hope you get through it as best as possible and get pregnant again soon. Thank you for remembering me - it means a lot to come back here, to have the chance to.

2bc3c, I'm so sorry for your loss - I hope you can find some peace today or just accept thats its a terrible day but tomorrow will be better and you'll be one day closer to your baby.

Thanks for the sticky bean dust tinkwings - If only real dust worked that way - I could stand next to our fireplace and be pregnant in no time! should maybe actually go and do some dusting!
