2ba3c - Baby centre advice about fish is:
* Don't eat any shark, swordfish and marlin. These fish contain unsafe levels of naturally occurring mercury. Tuna contains some mercury too, so it's best you don't eat more than four medium-sized cans, or two fresh tuna steaks per week.
* Raw shellfish isn't safe when you're pregnant, because it can cause food poisoning.
Most restaurant sushi fish is frozen for at least 24 hours which kills any parasites so you should be A-OK
Sorry for all the posts today!0 -
Awesome, thank you! The last bit is the most reassuring.

Hugs to everyone! There are some people having to deal with rubbish stuff.
OH finally managed to sort out a date for SA - it's in a couple of weeks. How long does it take to get results? We will have to go to GP to get them. After that it will be a referral to FS.
Hopefully we'll be pg by then & it will all be a waste of time (trying to find PMA).
Weight loss going well so need to focus on this - whatever the TTC outcome is, I need to lose weight.
Cherish your OH's tonight - spend time to appreciate what you have got.0 -
2B - enjoy the musical and the sushi - have a gab evening
Skintchick - hugs for cd1 and enjoy the wine tonight
MrsHappy - so sorry you didn't get better news at fs. I really hope that the tests will show that there is something to be done. I think it is so unfair about the ivf treatment on nhs, we were told that we won't qualify as dh has 21 yr old daughter from previous marriage and because in our area you have to be aged between 30 and 34 and have been ttcing for at least 3 yrs!!! (I am 38 and been ttcing for about 2.5 yrs but only met dh when 30 and so to qualify for the age ranges we would have had to ttc from when we first met!)0 -

The gp received the dh's SA result about 9 days after we had dropped it off at the clinic and we were told it could take between 1-2 weeks. Dh phoned the gp who gave him the result over the phone and then I made an appointment with my gp who had a copy of the result and she did the referral to the fs. Glad you managed to finally get a date for the SA.0 -

We went to the GP for Oh's and it took just over 2 weeks to get the results back. They also phoned through to Oh with the results as soon as they came in.Remember never judge someone that makes a mistake, because in six months time it may be you that makes the next mistake.0 -
Nicki, is the ovarian reserve thing AMH? I've had mine done, but was told it's pointless in people with PCOS:o
Slightly embarrassingly I'm not sure if he is running AMH or FSH or both. I didn't think to ask until afterwards. But as I am CD6 today AMH would make more sense. He's just a general gynaecologist who specialises in obstetrics not a fertility specialist though so he could easily have cocked up the timings!
I had both done about 5 years ago and everything was fine but obviously it's a reading which is dramatically affected by ageing so I thought on balance it was worth having it done again. Haven't told OH though as I suspect strictly speaking it falls under the no fertility treatment embargo.0 -

2ba3c, hope you have a fab time tonight!
CherryDrop, that's a lovely message from your DH.I'll prob be watching Gypsy Weddings later too.
Well, been trying to think of some positive ideas as have been feeling a bitthis afternoon, So, this month:
*I will get healthier and do more exercise.
*I will read up a bit more on TTC - maybe get a book out of the library etc.
*I will get more organised at home.
*I will be more appreciative of everything I already have, including a lovely DH.
*I will see more of my friends and family.
That's it for now.0
