  • I've not updated for a while, it's been a rough month so I've kept away as even though I should be happy for everyone getting a BFP on here it was making me really jealous. One of my best friends is due next week and the other has just announced she's pregnant, although I'm happy for them I can't help but wish it was me. Anyway, onwards and upwards!

QQ - can you put me down as CD10 please, thanks.

TeamLowe - hugs for af, impressive pma list tho

ScottishChick - hugs, we all understand how bad it feels when others in rl are pregnant. Just have to keep thinking that it will be our turn.

Hi guys, hope your all well. Welcome to the group Aida.

MIL is still deteriorating, she now has a hospital bed at home and is on a syringe driver so is on the way out. :( Thank you guys for thinking of us all, I've been in a trance like state for a week now as it doesn't seem real but my OH has now opened up and come to terms with what is happening as much as he can at this point.

in other news i am 13dpo and may have got a ttlp this mornin on an IC. Bit confused and scared and also disbelieving. Will see what happens in next few days though.

OMG ikkle that is amazing about the ttlp. I am so very sorry though to hear about MIL. Will your OH want to tell her your news? It would be nice to think she knew she was going to be a grandmother even if she never got to meet them, and in her conscious moments might be a comfort to her?

There is a definite line it's just very faint, i've tried to take a picture so i can ask you guys but i just can't get a decent picture. I so hope it does turn into a bfp though.

MIL doesn't have awake moments at the moment, but I know she can hear us, I just hope she holds out long enough for us to tell her if it is a bfp.

Hi everyone, its been a while and just had a quick catch up on everyone and whats been going on.

Hello to all the newbies, hugs for people who are on cd1 or for people that need hugs as well.
Seems to be a lot going on and some people are being really brave, hoping that 2012 can bring better news for us all.

Im going on my hols this friday but from the website ive been looking at says it looks like I would ov this week, im usually 28-31 days but last month I was a week late so really not sure at all when it is likely to happen.
I suppose it is better to ov this side of going on holiday rather than when we are travelling, as we are going to america with the travelling and the time difference dont suppose we are likely to want to when we arrive, but im going to jump on oh the morning before we go for our flight just in case to get a cheeky one in, (we have an afternoon flight) in case I do ov the end of next week if im going by a 35 day cycle.

Im using the IC opks but im not convinced the batch ive got are any good or im just not any good at reading them.

Can I check for it to be a positive the test line has to be as dark as the control line, is that correct?
Even if there is a test line but its faint its still a negative?

Because Ive been testing in the afternoon, not drinking too much water and yesterday there was nothing-only the control line, but the day before, there was a line but not as dark, faint, does that mean that ive already ovulated and missed it? Think I will do another one today.

Also I thought I would check my CM to see whats happening, do you ladies just check what comes out onto your knickers or do you go 'collecting'? So to speak? Because its hard to check if its creamy or ew, just by what is left on my knickers. I dont seem to have a lot come out. Sorry if its tmi.

    Hi cleo

    TMI post coming up!

Your lines on the OPK could fluctuate a bit. It needs to be darker than the control to be positive but the fact they have got a bit lighter or disappeared doesn't mean you have missed it. Some people can't get the IC ones to change colour though. They can be flakey. The digitial ones are pricey but you get a clear yes or no answer with them, so I personally prefer them.

You need to collect CM. Easiest way is to put two clean fingers either side of your cervix and gently squeeze. You will then get enough to examine. Otherwise, the Toni Wechsler book Taking Control of Your Fertility has a section which shows what shape stain your CM leaves on your knickers at different stages in the cycle. Not sure if thats reproduced anywhere online but you could google. Its not as accurate though as actually checking the real stuff.

Hugs teamlowe & great pma list!!

 Aida. Welcome to the thread.

Hey Secrets. Have you decided where you are with ov now? Was operation BD successful enough over the weekend?

scottishchick - I know how you feel, but it's hard to admit sometimes. I went and had a lurk on the <12 weeks thread and happy as I am for everyone it's hard to see everyone who was on this board moving on.

I just hope that soon we will all get our own BFPs!

Sorry to hear ikkle, but would be amazing if the ttlp turns into a BFP. Good luck with that, and hugs about your MIL.

I am due to test tomorrow, but couldn't find a test! I dropped into one of the big tescos and thought they would have one but no luck. So I may have to wait until Tuesday to use FMU. I am getting light positives on the OPK's I have... am I being desperate or could that mean something! Google isn't helping... getting conflicting information.

If you look on peeonastick they say it can mean something. Just showed OH a IC from yesterday and the one from today and he could see the 2 lines on todays one too. Then i cried a bit.
