Glad i went, she was lovely. I said I'm probably imagining the symptoms and she said no, you know your body best. And she was genuinely sympathetic when i kentioned the miscarriage. So I no have two favourite doctors at the surgery :) x x

It's great to hear a GP being sympathetic like this. Because miscarriages are so common and usually of no medical significance, the medical profession can be a little blase about them. They forget the heartbreakingly human side of everything and overlook how much psychological impact they have.

I went to see my GP when I was first pregnant because I was getting panic attacks. When she asked what was wrong my first response was 'Well, I'm pregnant...' and before I could even continue she just said 'And?'.

Great bedside manner! GPs just aren't interested in pregnancy!

Claire, I would suggest you start using the Panoxyl 5% and if it doesn't get better, than go on the 10%. TBH 2.5% wouldn't have changed anything on my skin, I struggled with the 5% as well. And it takes a long time to clear it up and will dry your skin really badly but once the skin is cleared, it will go back to normal.

    Morning all!

Congratulations to claire on the new job! :) It's good that you'll be better off financially, and hopefully by postponing the ttc for a couple of months will mean that you'll have worked their long enough when you get your BFP to be entitled to maternity pay. Another positive, is you won't have the biggest baby bump over the summer when it's hot and sticky, so you'll hopefully be a bit more comfortable.

QQ I hope all goes well with the eggies today.

zippy I still feel like I've got a marble down my throat at the moment, although the tonsils aren't so sore today, which is a bonus. I declined work today, as I decided it was best to give my voice a rest - plus Moon is off work today, so I can spend some time with him. I'm babysitting tonight again (babysat last night when the parents went to parents' evening - not good reports from the teachers, so think the daughter was in for a stern talking to after I left last night). I was quite impressed with myself though, as I helped the daughter with her homework - geometry, and it's been a LONG time since I did questions like that at school, so I'll see tonight whether we got them right or whether I need to do some more revision of my skills.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

    Good luck QQ

Claire, the pill can mess up cycles completely, so if I was you I would just use other protection.

good point sexymouse! I love sitting outside when its hot too, so probably wouldnt be good to do that with a bump!

Im babysitting tonight too. I will be thinking of you hehe! Yes I have to help the kids I look after with homework too, at the moment I have a wide knowledge of Romans, times tables, and 3 word spellings :rotfl:

    Hello people,

Five days away and 43 pages to catch up one! Only done the last few and will catch up properly over the weekend. congrats on the job Claire - that sounds amazing. Hopefully it won't be long before you can ttc again.

Well, this is month one of me using the CBFM. We had a few days away in a posh hotel this week that I thought would coincide with ov according to FF etc. Well, day 6 of my cycle I started showing high fertility but by yesterday (day 13 of cycle) I still hadn't shown "peak". Cue a grumpy me about the last 4 nights being a waste (4 being a superhuman effort on mine and oh part!) and that I wasn't going to "peak" and maybe didn't have an eggs in the first place (ridiculous I know but would be ironic as married to an Egg producer - of the chicken not human kind). OH was very good with me and we had a good chat and a lovely close time.

So this morning, day 1 back at work and I show "peak" - I'm now overexcited about the weekend but I think OH is scared he's going to have to perform again! Woo hoo!!

Looking forwards to catching up with everyone's news

Haven't read back, will do later:wave:

The egg collection (IVF) didn't go well, only got 4 immature eggs:o They couldn't get the egg from the lead egg sac, either it was never there, or it got missing:p

Anyway, I have to have a break next cycle as I have work, and the cycle after that as I have to be with MIL for her op, but am planning on returning very soon:cool:
