bigz - well done on your weight loss, have you got much to go to get below bmi30?
Hope you soon get this bleeding sorted out and get back to your normal self soon.
I've done 4 rounds of clomid (50mg); last time I was at the infertility clinic (why they can't call it fertility clinic, I don't know!!) the consultant said he'd try me on 4 rounds then refer me for ivf!!! I go back 14th Feb (how romantic!!) so will see what he says.
My bmi is around 26 I think. Stopped temping and tracking ov, I think I was getting a bit obsessed with it all.
Yep, lots still to go. LOTS. :o need to average 2.5-3lbs a week loss til my appt :o
Keep us informed. I spose if this is CD1/2 you've not much chance of a BFP before your appt, but I hope you'll already be pg. Did they say how long it'd take for the referral to go through?

BZ - YEY for the weight loss, boo for the bleeding. I'm sorry, it must be so frustrating for you. How long have you been bleeding now?
    Short answer: Too long. :(
    3.5weeks.

BigZippy, I can't believe you are still bleeding. Pls ask for a full blood test, this is not right! Also well done on weight loss! I wish I could lose half a stone, I only managed 1.5lb since January. I have been bleeding again, went swimming and mooncup was trully full:(.
:( Did it stop for a little while?
I daresay you have a much smaller start weight than me ;):o It's all relative :)
I certainly will be asking to be checked over properly :)

My brand new (Christmas present) slow cooker stock pot is cracked :( I was just getting into easy tasty meals and had stockpiled a few recipes to try, and now I can't use it :( It became the straw that broke the camel's back, today :(

I had reflexology today for the first time, mainly for sciatica but I also mentioned TTC so she did some stuff for that too. I loved it! I feel fabulous tonight and have another appointment in 2 weeks. She's a midwife too so we talked about babies for pretty much the entire hour :)

So I found out today I got the job I applied for which is fantastic, its hopefully going to be a job I could do after having a baby, pays much better than my old job, and its a 35 min drive away, compared to the 1.5 hr train commute to London I did before, so instead of paying around £500 to get to work each month, I estimate paying around £200 in petrol so Im already £300 up even before the big increase in pay Im getting, so its great as more money to save for a house and baby fund! And they finish early on a Friday!

However, because of the great terms of this job, and potential long term career prospects and finding a job that could fit in with a family but also pays well -which is what Ive been looking for, there is no way I feel I can risk getting pg in the next couple of months. So me and DH have decided to stop ttc for the next couple of months definitely and then see how we feel after that, I reckon we'll probably stop for maybe 3-4 as I would guess the job prob has good maternity pay etc so again something else to look at.

So its disappointing in terms of that but at the same time, my temp job is ending in a few weeks anyway and if I hadnt got this new job, its not like I can just sit about at home and hope to get a bfp once every 5-6 weeks! And weve been trying for 6 months, so ok I cant assume Id just get pg in the next 2-3 months, but if I did, although I wouldnt have to tell the people at the job right away, Im scared about getting morning sickness and all that type of stuff, and the thought of calling in sick at a new job fills me with dread, even though it would be for something good. I just cant justify trying right now overall so Im happy with our decision and DH has agreed with me its a good idea to stop for a little while.

I havent decided whether to go back on the pill or not, I dont really want to because I figure this could be a good time to see if my periods ever get back to normal as Ill have been off it for a year in June. So then when we do try again, were all ready to go. Or if my cycles are still long I can see a doctor and have been off it a good amount of time to justify getting tests etc done to see why. BUT I have been getting so many spots, its really getting me down, Ive even started to get small marks where I cant help pick them, and some have been really painful, so thats tempting me, and also because neither of us want to use any other type of contraception. The only option is to use opks and keep temping so I know when Im ov and avoid that time to BD. Which I am considering anyway, as I never know when AF is coming otherwise, and I like to know that for every day planning of events and such anyway!

So anyway, sorry for the massive essay but to sum it up, Ill probably lurk on the board, and if you dont mind, post if I see someone needing help with anything, Ive peed on so many opks now and taken my temp so many times I feel like I may as well help someone if they need it! And also lurk to check that everyone on here gets their bfps. And hopefully when I start posting again in earnest in a few months, ALL of you will be gone and moved to the other board! :)

    Hi all,

Been away a few days a lot to catch up on. Ikkle sounds like a really tough time, there's not much anyone can say, but I am sure everyone here is thinking of you.

BZ - I can't believe we are getting to another weekend with you still bleeding. Hopefully the docs can start to give some advice soon.

Skintchick, I look forward to your symptom spotting! I am quietly imagining everything under the sun, while at the same time not trying to hope too much. Distracting myself with lots of work, and I am away tonight for the first time in ages, so am enjoying comfy hotel sheets and I should try to get to sleep early for once. I resisted the drinking session that is taking off downstairs, and will take the chance to sneak out early.

I have booked a reflexology session tomorrow, as someone here mentioned it was a good idea, so hopefully that will relax me, and get me through to Monday testing day!

    Evening all,

BZ - YEY for the weight loss, boo for the bleeding. I'm sorry, it must be so frustrating for you. How long have you been bleeding now?

I don't know why I have been doing this to myself, all week I've been catching up on 16 and pregnant and OBEM (I just caught last nights show too, talk about bawling my eyes out, that woman Trish was AMAZING and a real inspiration).

I am finding myself being consumed by this whole journey, every waking minute is spent thinking about it and planning it all in my head and watching shows relating to it and googling things.

I should go and add to my blog!

Me toooooooooooooooooo!!! I have actually come up with a getting pregnant plan :o tonight - can i share?!? (well I am!)

0-3 Keeping an eye on EWCM, lots of BDing, see what happens (we have started 3 months earlier than the "agreed" time!! :D)
3-6 Start temp tracking, cut down alcohol etc, and all of above
6-9 Poss start Ov stick peeing, cough medicine drinking etc and all of above!
    month 9: go to doctor!

It makes me feel more in control knowing what i want to do if we don't get pregnant asap, I am almost counting the months away already!!!

Hugs to ikkle and zippy, both going through tough times at the moment x

    Snowy WAKE HIM UP!

Ah claire, good news about the job, guess it is the sensible thing to stop ttcing but you will soon be back on it!

QQ hope the egg collecting goes well *wishes I had a fingers crossed smiley*

Good luck tealover and others hitting ov

Lots of sticky baby vibes to all :D

thanks sexymouse :) are you feeling better?

Thanks ali :) hope the reflexology helps

    time2deal, me neither *sigh*

Claire congratulations on the job! I would strongly recommend not going back on the pill as it'll just mess your cycles up further, and if there is a consistent problem with your cycle length over time, they'll have nothing (hormonal) you've taken to blame it on. Hopefully your body will use this time to settle into a decent pattern though. And don't forget, there's not just the pill that can help with spots-now you're not ttc for a little while, there will be non ttc friendly options you can try. I suggest speaking to your doctor and/or pharmacist :)

Welsh girl, doctors will rarely take you seriously about ttc issues until you're been tring for at least 12 months, so be prepared that if you go after only 9 they may dismiss you for a few months more. (Unless you're over 35, I think it is) hopefully you won't even get to that point though :)

    Morning Ladies,

    It's Friday:j! The weekend starts tonight:j!

BZ, no, the bleeding hasn't stopped but it eased yesterday. Well, till swimming. I still bled overnight and this morning but it seems it's the end of it now. Keeping my fingers cross.

And, no, I don't have much to lose, half a stone would be great. MY BMI is 22 but I have fat on me:o.

High fertility again on the CBFM, I really need to make the effort to BD with OH tonight.

Claire, Congratulations on the job, great news. You need to do what is the best for you and your OH in the long term, if that means stopping TTC than stop. I would never go back on the pill tbh, I would rather take my temp and use ov sticks and use condom on those days when you ovulate. I also have spots, the gp gave me a cream called Panoxyl 10, you can get it over the counter in Boots too, cost appr. £5. It's really good and I don't have outbreaks anymore (well, just before my period a couple of spots which never mature thanks to the cream). I used to use it twice a day for about 4 months, it took as long to clear it up but now I use it just when the spots come out.

Welshgirl, I am 10 months into TTC and the gp still won't test me for anything:cool:. He said I needed to go back in April if I'm still not pregnant. You can request blood tests but they won't do the ovulation ones till you tried for at least a year. I'm in SE London btw.

QQ, good luck for today once again.

Right, better get ready and go to work, 6 o'clock can't come soon enough!

Kavics - hope that your bleeding has now finished and you can bd. at least it is still high and not peak so you haven't missed peak.

Claire - congrats on job and as others have said I would not go back on the pill given the long cycles you have especially if it's only for a few months.

BZ - really hope the bleeding stops soon ((hugs))

    QQ - good luck today.
