    Hi bigmomma,

I stopped cerazette in August, had a tiny withdrawal bleed about a week later - a few days of light browny-red bleeding. I then had a 56 day wait for my first real af (4-5 days of heavy red bleeding for me), and since then have had fairly regular cycles of 30-32 days. my gp told me that it could take up to a year for cycle to restart though so I was quite pleased with that. Hope that helps. since you don't know what cycles will be like I'd suggest temping to pin down ov, I wish I'd started when i came off the pill.

We haven't got a date for the SA yet but the instructions are that it needs to be 'made' at the clinic.

It refers to 'magazines' being available - although you can take your own!

Partners are not allowed in the room.

Think OH would prefer to do it in the comfort of his own home & then do a dash with the sample!

:rotfl:I know I shouldn't laugh, having put mrhappy through 3 SAs I do know how difficult and stressful he found it, for todays we were given the option of doing it at home and rushing in or making use of the hospital 'facilities'. although when he does it at home he prefers not to have help or me in the room, he just shouts me when he is done to keep it warm while he gets tidied up and ready :o

Hugs for cd1 bigmomma, it took me 11 weeks to get a period after having my implant removed, but I have been very regular since then. Whatever mrhappy says when I am Cd1 is the totally wrong thing, no matter how hard he tries to say the right thing he gets growled at!
  • Everyone keep ssuggesting this temping thing....i havent a CLUE! :o
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

Neither have I. And frankly, my mornings are so precious, I don't want to pressurize myself with taking the temp straight away I'm awake, it's enough to remember to pee on the sticks:rotfl:.

Really sorry to hear the news about the egg collection QQ. Its very frustrating not to get to the start line. Will they keep refining the clomid doses each time you try in the hope they get more mature eggs?

The SA talk made me smile. DH always does it at the clinic, and has been quite disparaging about their selection of reading material. I never knew he was so discerning - wonder what he is comparing it too :rotfl:

To my surprise I got a positive OPK this afternoon, and CBFM has been high for the last few days, so looks like I may ovulate this weekend after all, as FF has been predicting, despite all the stress at the beginning of the cycle. Which makes test day around Valentines Day, which would be a nice day to get a BFP (well a girl can dream...)

Claire, I hope the spot treatment does the job. Are you sticking around on here (you're more than welcome to obviously!) or going to to the WTTC thread?

Think Im going to just lurk on here to see who gets their bfps! So just going to watch and make congratulatory posts :)

I'd agree with the others not to go back on the pill. I had the same problem when I changed jobs. Both jobs had great mat leave benefits, but if I got pregnant in my notice period, or arrived pregnant, then I would get neither of them! So I took the pill for a month. I don't really feel like I am back to normal even now, any my cycle is suddenly much shorter.

So, I would strongly not recommend it!

Hmm yes if you had a bad experience after just one month, that does add to the long list of everyone elses, including my own of having a long irregular cycles right now.

I think unless I start to get horrendous AF or something, Im going to try to stay off it and hope the cream sorts the spots out.

Sorry to hear QQ. I always think of you when you are going for cycles and think - QQ could be pregnant almost right away! It will be amazing when it happens. Do you get a 2ww with IVF?
After the egg transfer (back inside me), it should be only few days wait as the egg implants the next day:cool:
Different IVFs replace the egg/s after different days. On my 1st IVF, they replaced it after 3 days (at 3DPO), so implantation would be few days later.

I was sticking my hand down my bra. Now it's just a waiting game til our appointment on the 14th of Feb :o
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: Good luck for the results.
But, as my very inspired and lovely hubby has just said "bad news - no baby at the moment, good news - all seems to be in good working order" ......!

I suppose that is the way to look at it... bit disappointed but i know i was being silly hoping i would have "caught" within the first month off the pill!
Let's hope for the second month, easier to date and all:cool:

We've done it in many different ways, me helping, or DH alone with some naughty vids:D He's done it at the clinic too. Not sure which he prefers:think:

This was a Femara cycle, first one was 'natural cycle with a bit of help waking my ovaries up with Femara'.
I think they usually offer Clomid cycle next, but not sure.

    Yay for +opk & valentines testing:happyhear
