Hi everyone, just been catching up on all the pages i missed.

borokat- hopefully you will get a bfp and its just your testing earlier, hoping it works out for you. Yah :j just seen you got a positvie brilliant, congrats!

Hugs for all on cd1 or at the beginning, lets hope this month is as good for bfps as january/dec

QQ- sorry to here your LH is still high, hoping they still might be able to do something especially if the second FS didnt say anything. I think as well if you can get some of the others to help out so you dont have so much on your shoulders you should try, they should want to help out.

Nicki- glad to hear of the news of your DD, hope it gets better for you.

Mlbarrett- sorry to hear your feeling down, hoping your feeling better today and sending you hugs.

Teallowe- hoping your af comes, although im hoping its more a bfp, its horrible having your cycle out of sync especially on top of Ttc it just adds another frustrating element to it.

Bigzippy- really hoping things have calmed down for you, you really have been through the mill with af this month, if its still the same I would go back to a doc and stress to them how long it has been think you might need to get something to stop it.

Kavics17- sounded like you had a nice relaxing weekend, glad to hear that your af is easing up hoping you can get back to ov and the fun side of ttc. ;)
Your lucky with your blood test when I used to go after the chemo I needed blood tests 3 times a week and I swear it seemed like some people must sleep over, they were proper dedicated already there outside the door! Hoping your results come back good.

Clearingot my pockets- welcome to the board- hoping your stay is short and you get your bfp soon.

    Nephthys- congrats on the bfp!

Littlemoog- 5 litres! Your going to be slosshing around when you walk :)

birdie85- I know what you mean about the broken part, it just seems getting pregnant or even keeping pregnant my body just doesnt seem to work the way it should, wheras in general ( im trying to be logical) when someone says they are pregnant usually means in 9 months they will have a baby, but doenst seem to be the same way with me. Hoping my body figures out what to do soon.

Squ1rrel5- glad your af has arrived finally, wow 2 months that is a long stretch hoping that everything will sort itself out for you now and you can just concentrate on the ttc part now.

Ttc40- glad to see your back and really glad to hear your blood tests have come back good, least that is one less thing to worry about knowing that your ov. Hoping you have a good month.

Cowchop- welocme to the board, sorry to hear of your lost, I suffered a mmc in nov, try not to think that everyone has 'caught' within 2 months, its all indiviual and to your body, its sounds like perhaps your body is getting back to normal after the mmc, try and give it time (I know its hard). I dont know if you have seen OPK which are pee on a sticks that help you find out round about when your ov so they would at least point you in the right direction for when you can try. Try looking at the front page of this thread, there are loads of informative links and fertitlity friend is a good website that will explain more than I can.

Candycane- good luck on the testing today or tomorrow morning. I think its brilliant how everyone seems to have so much patience not to test, I am so weak and fall at the first hurddle :( i need to get some patience.

well news with me is we booked our holiday. We are leaving end of next week  to orlando and then a couple of nights in new york!. we had the time booked off when i found out i was pregnant back in septmeber but what with the mmc in nov we didnt end up booking anything, but we got to a point last week especially with af coming so late we though b*gger it and we just booked it.

So i have something else to take me mind off ttc, im a bit of a list maker so im trying to plan loads of good stuff to see and do. So using my thermometer is out of the question, what with travelling and everything it proably wont be accurate, so im just going to go with opks and the relaxation technique :)

If im normal this month i think i should ov just before we go, so im just going to start using opk before i go and just try and b'd every other day plus the 2ww will be while im away so hoping that i will be doing fun stuff that i wont ss and wont stress out, well that is the plan anyway!.

Oh no, that's no good. You both need to be on the same page, and supporting each other though this. :( do you think he's waiting for all the results to come back before processing it? Is there a friend or close relative you could ask to offer support to him? Do you have a friend or close relative to do the same for you? What's her prognosis, if you don't mind me asking? Is she admitted to hospital atm, or still at home?

End of October beginning of November she started complaining of stomach pains and constant indigestion. She saw GP and he gave her painkillers and lameprazole (sp) she went through to December but the pain and indigestion were getting worse and she found she couldn't eat as much as she was starting to feel uncomfortably full quickly. She went back to GP and thinking it was gall stones he arranged a scan for her.

6th January she had a scan and that evening the doctor came to the house and told her the scan showed lots of black shadows on her liver and unfortunately she had secondary liver cancer.

13th January we took her to the out of hours doctor as she had turned jaundice and was having difficulty urinating. They did blood tests and sent her home.

16th January had first appointment with cancer clinic. They explained there were a lot of cancerous nodules on her liver and they had quite aggressively spread so a resection would be unlikely. They weren't sure where the cancer had come from as she had DCIS 5 years ago and had been given the all clear. So they booked a CT scan and a gastroscopy and the macmillan nurse we met prescribed a steroid to bring swelling etc down.

18th January she went for the gastroscopy which showed no abnormalities and the CT scan.

23rd January we went for 2nd appointment at cancer clinic, they weighed her again and we determined she's lost around 3 stone since the start of all this :( macmillan nurse noted how much she had deteriated since last week alone. Consultant explained the gastroscopy results and the CT scan results which he said showed a thickening of the colon and some enlarged lymph nodes. He said he can't guarantee that those are the cause though so she would need to have biopsy's taken from her liver. Hopefully that will be this week some time. They prescribed morphine for her (tablet and liquid form) as she is still having pain. And have arranged for macmillan nurses to visit her at home to ensure she is managing the pain.

MIL in general is a complete shadow of herself. She has lost loads of weight and turned so yellow. She is constantly in pain. Apart from me taking her to the hospital yesterday she hasn't been out of the house since last Wednesday's appointment as she feels so weary and wobbly and like she is going to collapse. When she is at home she just sits in her recliner chair and watches tv or sleeps. She hardly eats. Sunday for example she had half a bowl of porridge and an individual trifle. Some days she manages a little more, like if i eat with her she feels she can manage an extra mouthful or two. I've swapped all her milk, spreads and things for full fat versions just to try help her put a little weight on but don't know what else to do. She can hardly talk at the moment as she thinks the gastroscopy has irritated her throat so she sounds croaky as hell :(

So sorry to hear about your MIL ikkle - it may be worth asking the nurse or doctor about her having complan milkshakes, as they are good for providing the nutrients she is missing from her diet through not eating (my Nana has these). I think you can buy them in the supermarkets if you wanted to try her on these yourself.

ETA they are on 3for2 at waitrose according to mysupermarket.

Hugs Ickle sounds like your poor mil is really going through it. Have you tried milkshakes you can get from chemist in various flavours, I can't remember what they are called but they have all the necessary nutrients in and are used by those whose appetite or ability to eat are affected by illness. You can buy them and get them on prescription.

I had sample stored down my cleavage

That's where you're told to keep it! When I did IUI the OH had to provide a sample which is then spun and whatnot to get the most viable sperm. I had to pick it up an hour later then go to a different part of the hospital. I was told to keep it down my cleavage. Keeps it at the right temperature.

Gosh, I hope I never have to transport a sample... I don't have enough of a cleavage to keep anything in! ;)

Sounds like your MIL is having an awful time of it Ikkle. :( You're being so good to look after her, I'm sure it's appreciated :)

My LH has dipped to 13.3!:j (Anything below 20 is fine before ov).
I have to go in tomorrow again to see how the egg is doing, and possibly an egg collection on Thursday or Friday if all goes wellFingers_Crossed.gif

Don't know what dropped the LH level, could be my healthy eating:D or drinking loads before the test. I've done the same for the other 2 blood tests too though:huh:

Hope it starts going up again for ov:shocked:

I hope by resisting the urge to test, some of sexymouse's luck will rub off.

could you ask your OH to ring his brother and say how important it is that he shows his Mum that he cares?!
DH's brother's family knows all about the op etc.
It could be that the MIL said something unforgivable in the past, she always favoured DH over his brother:naughty:
I got an e-mail about the CB trial this morning saying that they don't need me. I'm not too bothered TBH, I wasn't mad on keeping wee in the fridge! ;) Also beng very positive and hopeful that we'd be a waste of their time anyway as I'll have my BFP by the time the trial starts... one can dream! :)
    That's the spirit:cool:

It can be exhausting, so make sure you have others to turn to when you need/want them
It should be just 2 weeks stay in the hospital, so it shouldn't be that bad...
Perhaps her other son could take over from then on? He works near MIL's place, he could drop by and deliver food and do laundry etc on weekends? (like it's ever going to happen:p).
Birdie, I've not slept yet :( hoping I'll manage a couple of hours soon. Feel like complete dog iron today though, and the cold that's been looming for a week has materialised and turned into a stinker *cough sneeze cough*

Can't believe I'm on cd12 already and still got af :(
    (((hugs))).

Those of you who use internet cheapie ov sticks, do you test in the morning or afternoon? Do you bring your wee to room temperature? I am just wondering whether I did something wrong in Dec and still have appr. 25 sticks left so might just use them up. Thanks.
I test all day including FMU, and I POAS:p

Receptionist said results can take between 7 and 14 days to get back to gp. Just keeping fingers crossed that result is ok.
    Fingers crossed:)
