  • BIG CONGRATULATIONS Nephthys - Wooooo!

So hard to keep up with you chatty lot but I am doing my best - lots of fluid being drunk etc!! and joys of smear tests, I have been on yearly for over 5 years I realised the other day but i guess better being safe than sorry!

I think I am waiting for AF now, not entirely sure I ovulated this month but I know I have noticed it in previously months (before TTC...) anyway no idea where I may be tbh, would like a proper period so I can start proper tracking IYSWIM!

Hugs to those who need them, I really must start making notes of names as I am reading!

    Congratulations Nephthys :)

Fingers crossed for you Flee, I hope this is your month :) x

BZ - thanks hun, its just hard cos OH isn't acknowledging it, think hes in denial so I'm the one doing the appointments etc :( Mil is now on morphine, the liver cancer is quite bad and they now think it could have been caused by colon cancer, she has had a CT scan and we are waiting on her having a liver biopsy.
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

xx Mama to a gorgeous Cranio Baby xx

Hello all, I am new to this, me and hubby have been TTC since aug, we fell pg but mc at 5 weeks in october. Since then my pds have been weird always on time but spotting for up to a week then V heavy for a few days... I'm so fed up, I have no idea when I'm supposed to be ovulating/trying. The people I have talked to that I know who have had mc's have all said they've fallen pg a month or 2 after thier mc but we're 3 months on and my pds are still not right :(

Hi cowchop and welcome to the mad house :D

Sorry to hear about your mc, there's a few people in here who have been in the same position.

I'm quite new on here too, I only started ttc Christmas day but I cant tell you how much being on here helps! Even just reading what others are going through puts a lot of things into perspective. Don't stress out! It will happen!!

Anyhoo I've gotta try and sleep although the nasty witch may be keeping me up for a while yet

I hope your stay here is happy but short xx

Firstly, welcome to the thread
Second, have you asked your doctor about the spotting? Some people do just spot, so it's not necessarily something to worry about, but if it's particularly unusual for you, it might be worth getting your doctor's advice -if only to set your mind at ease. There are also natural remedies which claim to help regulate any hormone imbalances which may be at play; you might want to have a look into it if you're worried? I know a few ladies on here do/have taken things like b vitamin complex/agnus castus/evening primrose oil.
Thirdly, as for ovulation, are you charting your cycles in any way, or using ovulation predictor kits(opks)? How long are your cycles normally? If they're (for example) normally 30 days long, then you can reasonably expect to be ovulating 10-16 days before cd30 (cd= cycle day), so between cd14 and cd20. Using opks will help you narrow it down further.
Also, sorry to hear about the mc :(

Oh no, that's no good. You both need to be on the same page, and supporting each other though this. :( do you think he's waiting for all the results to come back before processing it? Is there a friend or close relative you could ask to offer support to him? Do you have a friend or close relative to do the same for you? What's her prognosis, if you don't mind me asking? Is she admitted to hospital atm, or still at home?

    Qq, when's Mil's op?

AFM, Mil's on the mend it seems, so I've been trying to recharge my batteries and rest up through this heavy bleeding. Thankfully it has been a bit better today (but I'm not counting my chickens just yet!), so I'm really hoping this is the beginning of the end of it now... :o A nice soak in the bath last night helped with some of the pain, and today has been all about the hot water bottle and pjs, and, happily, dh is doing some half days at work this week to recharge from the mil saga and still be able to visit her, so he's been able to look after me too ;)

    Good morning everyone:wave:

    GorkyPark,
    fingers crossed for this month:o
    smiley_hug.gif
Primmer, good luck with cough medicine:)
Tea lover, I know what you mean by not feeling like a proper woman, but all we need is one (or more in your case) baby, and it'll fix everything:cool:
COMP, looking forward to welcoming you here:wave:
TTC must be one of the most exciting things ever invented (especially if it works on the 1st try)
kavics, relax during smear? Easier said than done:p
    Squ1rrel5, glad your AF arrived:o
Would have preferred a BFP, but better than in a limbo:o
TTC40, where did that dignity saving piece of paper go:huh: Did you drop it? And :rotfl: re Hotmail FF emails:rotfl:
Glad your blood test was fine:) Us oldies don't produce good eggs every month, so need to wait longer for the golden eggy:o Just make sure you don't miss that eggy:cool:
2ba3c, :rotfl: at watching out for the donor's spermies:D
CowChop, (((hugs))) for your mc:( Have you spoken to your doctors about your periods?
You could try some herbal things, like Agnus Castus to try to regulate your hormones, but I'm not a doctor, and I'm not offering any medical advice, it's just a suggestion:o
    ikkle, (((hugs))) for your MIL.
My DH is not doing much re his mum's heart problem. DH has a brother who lives reasonably close (1hr by car), but that family is not doing anything either:mad:
I think I'll pop over (5hr journey) to my MIL next week, hopefully after the egg collection:o
Littlezee, glad your MIL is on the mend:o
As for my MIL, I have to take her to the different hospital and see what they say. She lives about 5hrs away, so I have to stay at her place. I'm waiting for the egg collection to finish:o I'll probably go this Sunday:)

She has 2 sons, one is DH who lives abroad, and the other one lives about 1hr away by car. He has a wife and two daughters (twenty-somethings). Amazing how none of them can help her out:huh:

If she goes ahead with the op (needs to stay in the hospital for 2 weeks), it'll have to be March as I have work I cannot cancel during Feb:(

Welcome cowchop - great to have you here, hope this will be a short and sweet stay for you :)

I am shamelessly using you lovely ladies instead of going mad on Google (yet again...). Think I am gearing up for OV - lots of EWCM this morning (I am surprised at how over excited I got about that...) and boobs slightly swollen which always seems to happen.

Question: how long after getting EWCM do you usually ovulate? I am being slightly crazed and wondering if I need to wake up DH now and demand his services, or if this evening will be ok?! We DTD on Sunday evening... Also, does EWCM usually come before or after a positive OPK?

Sorry for all my questions.. it's your fault for being so knowledgeable and helpful :)

Have a great day all xx
